MEISSEN Stripes

Seit drei Jahrhunderten werden im hauseigenen
Farblabor Farben nach geheimen Rezepturen gefrittet,
getrommelt und gemischt: Rund 10 000
Farben sind entstanden, seit der Porzellanmaler
Johann Gregorius Höroldt 1725 erstmals eine Grundpalette
aus 16 feuerfesten Farben entwickelte und
damit die gesamte Porzellanmalerei revolutionierte.
Ihre Rezeptur ist ein streng gehütetes Geheimnis.
Die leuchtenden Farben für Stripes wurden eigens
so entwickelt, dass sie den Speisen Raum zur
Entfaltung geben und jeden Anlass – ob Dinner
oder Afternoon-Tea – zum Genuss für alle Sinne
werden lassen.
Das Blau des Himmels und des Meeres, das beruhigend
wirkt und für Tiefe, Stabilität und Weisheit
steht, verbindet sich im Dekor Stripes harmonisch
mit dem wärmenden Gelb der Sonne, das Freude
und Heiterkeit ausdrückt. Diese leuchtende Farbigkeit
wird ergänzt durch eine prachtvolle Goldkontur.
So entsteht Eleganz auf ganzer Linie – grafisch,
leuchtend, klar.
BREEZY COLOURS
Paints have been fritted, tumbled and mixed to
secret formulae in our in-house paint laboratory for
three centuries. Since the porcelain painter Johann
Gregorius Höroldt developed the first basic palette of
16 refractory paints in 1725, revolutionising the entire
act of painting porcelain, some 10,000 colours
have been created. Their formulation is a closely
guarded secret. The luminous colours for Stripes were
specially developed to give the food and drink space
to unfold and thus turn any occasion – be it dinner or
afternoon tea – into sheer bliss for all the senses.
In the Stripes pattern, the blue of the sky and sea,
which has a soothing effect and is suggestive of
depth, stability and wisdom, interacts harmoniously
with the warming yellow of the sun, expressive of
joy and happiness. Flashes of intense colour are augmented
by stylish gilt trim. The upshot is elegance all
along the line – a sense of crisp, colourful clarity.
Im Archivfarbenschrank von 1910 wird eine Vielzahl der über
10 000 streng geheimen Farbrezepturen verwahrt.
Many of the 10,000-plus top-secret colour formulae are kept
in a colour archive cabinet built in 1910.
