Format ist keine Frage
der Größe.
Die 50er Jahre sind die Blütezeit der Rollermobile
und Kleinstwagen. Die sehr originelle und dabei
praktische Isetta mit Fronttür der Mailänder Firma
Iso fertigt BMW in Lizenz. Sie entpuppt sich als
Volltreffer, vor allem für junge Leute und kleine
Familien. BMW findet für das sogenannte Motocoupé
und die neue Zielgruppe eine eigene
Werbesprache. Man setzt auf Reime wie „Freude
haben, Kosten sparen, BMW Isetta fahren“.
Stature is not a question of size.
The 1950s represented the heyday of micro or “bubble”
cars. These highly original and extremely practical Isetta
models of the Milan-based firm Iso were built under
licence by BMW and featured a front-hinged door. The
Isetta proved to be a huge success, above all among
young people and small families. BMW coined a
separate advertising tone for the “motocoupé” and this
new target group, favouring rhyming slogans such
as “Freude haben, Kosten sparen, BMW Isetta fahren”
(“Enjoy, save, drive a BMW Isetta”).
