sich jedes 02er Modell bester Kritiken. So schreibt
ein führendes deutsches Automagazin, dass
„die BMW 02er zu den fahrerisch erfreulichsten
Autos gehören, die es gibt“.

With four new models in 1971, the “02 era” ushered in its
most successful years. Slotting into the gap between
the BMW 1602 base model and the BMW 2002 was the
BMW 1802, followed by the BMW 2002 tii with a 130 hp
injection engine. From the outset, each 02 model enjoyed
the highest acclaim from the critics. One leading German
motoring journal wrote that “the BMW 02 models are
among the most enjoyable driver’s cars in existence”.
