Plans for 2010
� e Berlin team will create and deliver a second (revised) version of the central ontology
with corresponding mappings from the wordnets. Further project meetings are
planned, including one in Hong Kong in January, 2010.
Meetings
Christiane Fellbaum attended the � rst project review meeting in Luxembourg in
March. � e project received a favorable evaluation and funding will continue as expected.
Diff erent Berlin team members attended a workshop in Amsterdam and project
meetings and conferences in Tilburg, San Sebastian, Pisa and Madeira.
Personnel
Anca Chereches, a student from Princeton University, spent the month of August with
the project. From mid-October to mid-December, Montse Cuadros from the Polytechnical
University of Catalonia in Barcelona visited the Kyoto project. Ms. Cuadros
is a Ph.D. student of Prof. German Rigau, a KYOTO member from the Basque team.
� omas Pfuhl, who supported the project mainly with system administration, le�
on September 30 to return to his post at the CNRS in Montpellier (France). Amanda
Hicks le� the project at the end of the calendar year 2009 to resume her doctoral studies
at the State University of New York, Buff alo, but will continue to collaborate on
a freelance basis.
