Please note:
1. Only precise and detailed specifications guarantee correct
manufacture.
2. Where we are making frames based on building plans,
detailed drawings or sketches, these must be made available
to us at no cost. These documents generally remain in our
possession as an integral part of the commission. We cannot
be held liable for any errors in these documents.
3. Fully glazed doors can readily be fitted into our frames
(please note glass thickness and hinge designs!).
4. Our primer facilitates professionally correct application of
paint on zinc: clean frame, lightly sand primer, touch up any
flawed areas, fill if necessary (ancillary services as per VOB
DIN 18363).
Corrosive solvents etc., or aggressive coating materials can
damage the primer coat. As a result of the primer applied at
the factory it is generally possible to coat over this using
standard paints. As it is not possible to test every system and
the use of such paints is outside of our area of responsibility,
it is fundamentally necessary prior to adding any further
coating to do a test of suitability for this (VOB DIN 18364).

5. When using seals made of PVC or of materials with migratory
plasticisers, coating instructions must be followed. Nitro,
PVC and polymer resin varnishes may not be used for coating
the frames and doors.
6. Any damage caused during transit or fitting must be put right
on site (VOB DIN 18363). After no more than 3 months the
items must be coated or the appropriate topcoats applied.
10. a) Tolerances are claimed as per DIN / Wulf factory standard
(the factory standard may differ from the DIN regulations).
10. b) Whenever new DIN regulations are issued, they replace
the previous ones.
11. DIN sheets can be bought from Beuth-Verlag GmbH, Berlin.
12. Sound insulation, in combination with a steel frame, can
be achieved with just a single rebate when fitting a special
seal (suitable sill required).
13. Using installation templates or so-called fitting aids in
framework form etc., generally does not make things any
easier. Rather, taking into account material and transport
costs, specific construction site requirements and total
installation time, it tends to makes things more difficult.
14. Highly fluid backfill materials always require sealed or
airtight hinge sub-structures and wall protection boxes, which
must be specified separately when ordering or be made by
the customer.
15. In the case of custom profiles it is a requirement in the
absence of any specifications that a difference of 17 mm
exists per stop side between the basic dimensions and the
frame rebate dimensions (except in the case of gym hall
frame profile UGT, etc.).
16. We accept no liability for any printing errors or
technical mistakes in this catalogue. We reserve
the right to change designs and use other
materials for any reason we deem appropriate,
including for technical enhancement.
7. Creating the necessary rule marks and measurement points
and adhering to them until formal acceptance of the work
dependent on them is a matter for the client (extract from
VOB, part C DIN 18360, 3.1.15).
8. DIN 18111-1 applies for standard frames in masonry, while
for standard frames in stud partitioning it is DIN 18111-2.
Custom frames for rebated and non-rebated door leaves are
made based on DIN 18111-3. The installation of standard and
custom frames is governed in DIN 18111-4 (work on a new
DIN is ongoing).

DIN 18111 applies in its version applicable at any given
time (currently applicable version: issued August 2004).

9. In accordance with the relevant DIN regulations, the building
shell dimensions are for the width as the effective opening
measurement and for the height from the finished floor surface
to the bottom edge of the bare lintel / bare ceiling.
