The Hurtta Torrent raincoat is made of from outdoor fabric developed for demanding 

conditions, offering efficient protection against rain and wind. It is perfect for 

long- and soft-haired dogs, whose fur easily absorbs moisture and retains a damp 

smell long after the walk. The material has a water-resistant and breathable Houndtex® 

coating. The product is considerably easier and faster to clean than a long-haired 

dog. Quick to line-dry in an airy space, the raincoat is ready for new rainy weather 

walks in no time.

The Slush Combat outdoors overall is made of high-performance outdoor fabric, which 

provides effective protection against water, mud and dirt. The purpose of the product 

is to protect the fur and skin of long-haired dogs during walks so that the dog does not 

need to be washed too often in the spring and autumn seasons. During walks in the city, 

the garment protects the dog’s fur from road salt and traffic-related grime.

The Hurtta Summit parka is a simple and efficient way to keep the dog’s body temperature 

stable in cold weather. The winter jacket is designed to complement the thermal 

insulation capacity of short-haired dogs and dogs with no undercoat, preventing them 

from freezing in tough weather conditions. Even dogs with thick and long fur need protection 

against the cold from time to time. Examples of factors increasing the dog’s need 

for warmth include wet fur, post-exercise stress, old age, pregnancy or various illnesses.

offers is the comfortable material, 

light design and perfect fit. The 

adjustable collar, neckline and waist

There is a water-resistant two-way

adjustability of padded collars make them an excellent choice for puppies, for example. 

By distributing the pressure caused by pulling across a larger area, the Neoprenepadded 

Hurtta collar softens the stress placed on the dog’s neck and throat area. 

The ergonomic collar does not chafe the dog’s neck. Thanks to the safety lock

The round rope leashes are comfortably soft to hold in your hand, yet highly durable. Resembling 

climbing ropes in structure and materials, the leashes come with 3M reflectors for added visibility. 

In the revamped collection the metal used in fastener clips was replaced with aluminium which is 

highly durable, stainless and extremely light. 

Hurtta rope leashes are available in a wide range of thicknesses and lengths. The leashes can be 

grouped according to use and properties. When choosing a leash, thickness is determined by dog breed 

and size, and length by purpose of use. Short leashes are best suited for city walks and long leashes for

01 The back length should be measured from the withers (not the collar) to the base of the tail, 

while the dog is standing in normal position. 

02 The neckline measurement should be taken at the base of the neck, this being the widest 

point of the neck. The neckline of an overall can be larger than the circumference of the dog’s 

neck, as it can be adjusted to fit a smaller neck. 

03 The chest measurement should be taken at the widest point of the chest, from behind the 

front legs. To ensure sufficient freedom of movement, the chest of an overall should be 5–20 

cm/2-8” wider than the dog’s chest. 

04 The front leg length should be measured from the bottom of the rib cage along the inner side 

of the leg to the wrist bone. The legs of an overall are of an appropriate length when they reach 

down to the dog’s forearms. 

Note: If the purpose of the overall is to protect the fur of a long-haired dog, the legs of the overall 

can be longer than listed above. In this case, however, the overall should only be worn when the 

dog is on a leash or under its owner’s supervision.

Thanks to persistent product development efforts, Hurtta’s Houndtex® laminated outdoor fabrics are 

smooth, soft and quiet in use. These features make the garments ideal for dogs that are unaccustomed to 

wearing outdoor clothing. 

The dirt- and water-resistance and breathability of Houndtex® laminated outdoor fabrics match those of 

high-quality outdoor outfits designed for people. The materials approved for use in the Hurtta Outdoors 

collection were developed for especially demanding conditions and heavy wear, making them perfect for 

outdoor canine activities. 

Caring for Hurtta garments 

All Hurtta outfits and equipment are washable. When kept well, they will endure regular use for several 

years. Recommended washing guidelines are included in the care instructions for each garment. Always 

follow the care recommendations given. Washing the garment at the wrong temperature, fast spinning 

or tumble-drying may harm the taping of the seams or other details of the garment. Avoid using fabric 

conditioners, as they impair the water-resistance of the Houndtex® coating. 

Dog garments are recommended to be washed inside out using mild and allergy-friendly detergents. 

All Hurtta Houndtex® products are water and dirt-resistant. Over time, heavy wear and washing may 

weake the products’ water-resistance, which is easy to restore with protective agents sold in sporting 

goods stores.
