Bienvenue du Président de la SSOT<br />
Chers confrères,<br />
Chers amis de l’orthopédie,<br />
La chirurgie de l’appareil locomoteur évolue et fait progresser la qualité de vie<br />
des patients de plus en plus rapidement. Nous courons pour rester au courant,<br />
pour transmettre nos connaissances ou pour démontrer que nos idées et nos<br />
produits innovants sont précieux pour nos patientes et nos patients.<br />
Pour atteindre ces objectifs nous devrions être prêts à courir loin et vite. Mais où<br />
courons-nous ? A Lausanne ! En effet, c’est dans cette magnifique ville que le<br />
Congrès annuel de la SSOT-SGOT aura lieu du 22 au 24 juin 2011. Pour nous, ce<br />
sera l’occasion de mettre à jour notre savoir et nos compétences, d’élargir notre<br />
horizon avec des idées nouvelles, de stimuler notre curiosité avec des produits<br />
encore peu connus, mais efficaces, de développer des visions fondées sur<br />
l’étonnante histoire de l’orthopédie Suisse et d'entretenir l’amitié .<br />
Les membres du comité mettent tout en œuvre pour nous organiser, dans<br />
les salles de conférence comme à l’extérieur, un séjour exceptionnel qui nous<br />
permettra de devenir de meilleurs orthopédistes. Bien sûr, l’objectif primordial<br />
de ce congrès est l’amélioration de la qualité du traitement des malades. Il<br />
va toutefois nous rappeler à quel point l’orthopédie a été, est et restera une<br />
discipline incroyablement fascinante. Le simple fait de pouvoir rencontrer les gens<br />
qui représentent cette spécialité vaut bien le déplacement à notre cité olympique.<br />
Je me réjouis de vous souhaiter la bienvenue à Lausanne au nom de la SGOT-<br />
SSOT où j’aurai l’occasion de prendre connaissance de vos <strong>der</strong>nières découvertes<br />
en orthopédie et des nouvelles personnelles. Avec votre présence, vous<br />
contribuerez à donner à notre congrès annuel la place qui lui revient et vous<br />
attesterez que les orthopédistes bougent pour rester au courant.<br />

Grusswort des SGOT-Präsidenten<br />
Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, sehr geehrte Freunde <strong>der</strong> Orthopädie<br />
Die Chirurgie des Bewegungsapparates bewegt sich und die Lebensqualität<br />
von Patienten schneller und schneller vorwärts. Wir rennen, um uns auf dem<br />
Laufenden zu halten, um unsere Erkenntnisse zu vermitteln o<strong>der</strong>, um zu<br />
beweisen, dass unsere neuen Ideen und Produkte für unsere Patient(inn)en<br />
wertvoll sind.<br />
Eigentlich sollten wir für diese Ziele bereit sein, weiter und schneller zu rennen.<br />
Aber wohin? Nach Lausanne! Vom 22. bis 24. Juni 2011 wird in dieser<br />
wun<strong>der</strong>schönen Stadt am <strong>Jahreskongress</strong> <strong>der</strong> SGOT – SSOT sichergestellt,<br />
dass unser Wissen und Können aufdatiert, unser Horizont durch neue Ideen<br />
erweitert, unsere Neugier durch uns noch wenig bekannte aber wirksame<br />
Produkte geweckt und basierend auf <strong>der</strong> erstaunlichen Geschichte <strong>der</strong> Schweizer<br />
Orthopädie Visionen weiterentwickelt und Freundschaften gepflegt werden<br />
können.<br />
Alle Mitglie<strong>der</strong> des Vorstandes setzen alles daran, uns in- und ausserhalb <strong>der</strong><br />
Vortragssäle einen wertvollen Aufenthalt zu organisieren und in einer attraktiven<br />
Umgebung dafür zu sorgen, dass wir noch bessere Orthopäd(inn)en werden.<br />
Gewiss dient <strong>der</strong> Kongress in erster Linie einer noch besseren Patientenversorung;<br />
er soll aber auch zeigen, was für ein faszinierendes Fach die Orthopädie war,<br />
ist und bleiben wird und dass die Begegnung mit denjenigen, die dieses Fach<br />
betreiben, alleine schon die Reise in unsere olympische Stadt rechtfertigt.<br />
Ich freue mich, Sie im Namen <strong>der</strong> SGOT – SSOT schon bald in Lausanne<br />
begrüssen zu dürfen und mit und von Ihnen Neues aus Orthopädie und Leben<br />
zu erfahren und zu lernen. Ich danke Ihnen, dass Sie mit ihrer Präsenz dem<br />

Chères Collègues,<br />
Chers Collègues,<br />
Ceux d’entre-vous qui choisiront de<br />
rejoindre Lausanne en train en passant<br />
par le Lavaux seront peut-être tentés<br />
de jeter leur billet de retour à la sortie<br />
du tunnel de Chexbres, saisis par<br />
la splendeur du paysage. La vigne<br />
qui borde la voie à cet endroit porte<br />
d’ailleurs le nom de « vigne des billets ».<br />
Mais bien davantage qu’une carte<br />
postale, Lausanne et sa région<br />
constituent un pôle technologique,<br />
artistique et sportif de haut niveau. De<br />
nombreuses possibilités d’excursions<br />
permettront de vous en convaincre.<br />
C’est ainsi que vous aurez l’occasion de<br />
visiter le Musée Olympique, d’admirer le<br />
tout nouveau Rolex Learning Center de<br />
l’EPFL ou encore de vous enthousiasmer<br />
pour l’Ecole Rudra du Ballet Béjart.<br />
Mais n’oublions pas que la première<br />
clinique orthopédique du monde<br />
fut fondée en 1780 par André Venel<br />
(1741–1791) à Orbe près de Lausanne,<br />
alors qu’il fallut attendre 1903 pour<br />
que le Dr Placide Nicod procède, à l’insu<br />
de son patron, le Prof César Roux, aux<br />
premières opérations orthopédiques.<br />
Autant de bonnes raisons pour venir<br />
nous rejoindre à Lausanne où d’ores et<br />
déjà, au nom du Comité d’organisation,<br />
je vous souhaite la bienvenue.<br />

Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,<br />
Diejenigen unter Ihnen, die mit <strong>der</strong><br />
Bahn nach Lausanne reisen, werden<br />
von <strong>der</strong> Landschaft des Weinbaugebiets<br />
Lavaux möglicherweise so begeistert<br />
sein, dass sie ihre Rückfahrkarte<br />
am Ende des Tunnels von Chexbres am<br />
liebsten aus dem Zug werfen würden.<br />
Der Weinberg, durch den die Bahnstrecke<br />
an dieser Stelle verläuft, wird nicht<br />
umsonst „Weinberg <strong>der</strong> Fahrkarten“<br />
genannt.<br />
Doch Lausanne ist nicht nur ein hübsches<br />
Postkartenmotiv: die Stadt und<br />
ihre Umgebung sind vielmehr eine<br />
bedeutende Technologie-, Kunst- und<br />
Sportregion. Zahlreiche Ausflugsziele<br />
bieten Ihnen die Möglichkeit, sich<br />
selbst davon zu überzeugen.<br />
Besuchen Sie zum Beispiel das Olympische<br />
Museum, das neue Rolex<br />
Learning Center <strong>der</strong> Polytechnischen<br />
Hochschule von Lausanne (EPFL) o<strong>der</strong><br />
die weltbekannte Balletschule École-<br />
Atelier Rudra-Béjart. Ausserdem sollten<br />
wir nicht vergessen, dass André Venel<br />
(1741–1791) im Jahr 1780 im Nachbarort<br />
Orbe die erste orthopädische<br />
Klinik <strong>der</strong> Welt eröffnete. Die ersten<br />
orthopädischen Eingriffe wurden jedoch<br />
erst 1903 von Dr. Placide Nicod<br />
ohne Wissen seines Vorgesetzten,<br />
Professor César Roux, vorgenommen.<br />
Es gibt also viele gute Gründe, uns<br />

Prix / Preise<br />
Prix Hans Debrunner<br />
Le but du prix Hans Debrunner est de rapprocher les spécialistes (orthopédistes)<br />
et les généralistes (médecins de famille) dans le cadre d’un effort commun pour<br />
transposer les résultats de la recherche d’un groupe dans l’activité médicale<br />
pratique de l’autre au profit de leurs patients communs. Le prix doit, selon le<br />
Prof. Hans Debrunner, professeur ordinaire d’orthopédie à l’université de Bâle<br />
de 1948 à 1959, mais aussi médecin privé installé en cabinet jusqu’à la fin de sa<br />
carrière, faire avancer deux idées :<br />
1. Une conception des missions de la profession médicale tournée vers le<br />
patient, pour une médecine, non pas dénuée d’âme et purement technique,<br />
mais conviviale et humaine, centrée sur les patients en tant qu’individus et<br />
leurs besoins.<br />
2. Une philosophie qui vise à accompagner les futurs médecins et les médecins<br />
de famille installés pendant leur formation et leur formation continue ou<br />
complémentaire en passant en revue les résultats obtenus par des collègues<br />
de la recherche, les évaluant et les mettant à disposition sous une forme<br />
adaptée de ces « fournisseurs de l’aide médicale de base » au bénéfice de<br />
leurs patients, selon le principe : spécialiste et médecin de famille, ensemble<br />
pour les patients. Le prix doit donc tenir lieu de pont entre spécialistes et<br />
généralistes.<br />

Hans Debrunner-Preis<br />
Die Idee des Hans Debrunner-Preises ist, Spezialisten (Orthopäden) und<br />
Allgemeinärzte (Hausärzte) im gemeinsamen Bestreben, Forschungsresultate<br />
<strong>der</strong> einen Gruppe in die praktische ärztliche Tätigkeit <strong>der</strong> an<strong>der</strong>en umzusetzen,<br />
zu Gunsten <strong>der</strong> gemeinsamen Patienten. Der Preis soll, im Sinne von Prof. Hans<br />
Debrunner, 1948 – 1959 Ordinarius für Orthopädie an <strong>der</strong> Universität Basel, aber<br />
auch bis zuletzt in privater Praxis tätig, zwei Ideen för<strong>der</strong>n:<br />
1. Eine patientenorientierte Auffassung <strong>der</strong> Aufgaben des Arztberufes, keine<br />
seelenlose, rein technische Medizin, son<strong>der</strong>n ein menschenfreundliches<br />
Arzttum, wo die Patienten als Individuen mit ihren Nöten im Mittelpunkt<br />
stehen.<br />
2. Eine Lehre, <strong>der</strong>en Aufgabe es ist, die angehenden und etablierten Hausärzte<br />
während ihrer Aus-,Weiter- und Fortbildung zu begleiten, indem sie die<br />
Resultate <strong>der</strong> forschenden Kollegen sichtet, evaluiert und in geeigneter Form<br />
den „Grundversorgern“ zum Nutzen ihrer Patienten zur Verfügung stellt,<br />
unter dem Motto: Spezialist und Hausarzt gemeinsam für ihre Patienten.<br />
Damit soll <strong>der</strong> Preis auch eine Brückenfunktion erfüllen.<br />
Die Preisverleihung findet im Rahmen des Gesellschaftsabends<br />
am Donnerstag, 23.06.2011 im Hotel Lausanne Palace statt.<br />
