Multi-faceted art director of the blog « Miss Pandora », Louise Ebel reveals herself as a sensual and baroque muse for a timeless Maison Close collection: Jardin Impérial. Between Monsieur le Français & Pandora: two universes that are close, similar, and sometimes, intertwined… A few years ago, charming boxes in purple and gold tonalities have introduced me to a label that hasn’t left me since: the elegant and sulfurous Maison Close, a name that, as you can imagine, I could only like, thanks to my fascination for the time of courtesans. Carefully picked colors, an Art-Nouveau inspired typography inspired by the mythical seventies brand « Biba », John Austen illustrations embellishing the catalogue… I immediately knew we had more than a few artistic references in common. So, over the last few years, I took pleasure in furthering the vision of Maison Close’s designer, by setting his creations in parallel universes, but necessarily linked. There was some Crepax, some Cabaret, some Night Porter, Pierrot, and even less expected references, like Marianne Faithfull in a lace bodysuit. Because Maison Close is one of these rare brands that suggests an infinity of inspirations, with an aesthetic basis inviting the imagination, and what an imagination! I’ve always adored wearing this incredibly fine lingerie, but even if our universes were very close, I could never have dreamed being one of the brand’s muses, one of these sublime creatures posing in the pages of the look books! Even better, for my favorite collection, Jardin Impérial, whose association of fine lace and gold and black tonalities, which is nothing short of my signature style, could only seduce me. Actually, it is possibly a story of mutual aesthetic seduction, over the course of many years that made this encounter possible. And I was even more excited when I understood that I was asked to pose as Pandora, in my own universe (and what better universe than my own apartment?) for a photo shoot that turned out to be a thrilling artistic exchange, and a great creative collaboration with the brand’s owner and designer, also known as Monsieur le Français. This encounter, and these exchanges, made me understand why I felt so close to Maison Close. Our imageries complete each other, and if the link that tied me to the brand was already solid, it is now stronger than ever.
