congresses department is currently trying to get even more MICE<br />
events to the <strong>Arlberg</strong> in autumn and spring. When it comes to<br />
fr<strong>am</strong>ework progr<strong>am</strong>mes we’re really good at finding or coming up<br />
with good ideas. If something is needed quickly we like to work as<br />
“firemen”. Our great network in the village helps us with that.<br />
L.L. What sort of infrastructure does ARLBERG-well.com<br />
offer guests of congresses and meetings?<br />
P.M. Our house impresses with fresh architecture and a<br />
multifunctional character. We offer up to 1,500 seats and 3,000<br />
standing places. The rooms can be divided, the tribunes can be<br />
moved. Different break-out rooms are ideal for smaller meetings.<br />
Aside from all that ARLBERG-well.com is situated right at the<br />
centre of <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anton</strong> and easy to reach for everyone.<br />
L.L. Another highlight of the infrastructure<br />
is the arl.rock with varied offers for fans of<br />
climbing and bouldering. Do the guests use this<br />
facility, too?<br />
P.M. Our indoor sports facility is particularly<br />
popular in autumn and winter. We offer more than<br />
a hundred climbing tours and change the routes<br />
regularly. As a result we also get locals and climbers<br />
from Tyrol or Vorarlberg. Our winter guests come to<br />
<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anton</strong> primarily for skiing but they also like to<br />
use the indoor sports facilities when the weather is<br />
bad. All in all I’d say that arl.rock definitely was a<br />
good investment. We all profit from it.<br />
L.L. Is there anything that you would change about the<br />
touristic structures in <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anton</strong> <strong>am</strong> <strong>Arlberg</strong> as a location for<br />
events and congresses? What things work particularly well?<br />
P.M. <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anton</strong> is a village that has grown and that keeps<br />
developing constantly. The topics mountain, skiing and winter<br />
experiences are still as attractive as ever. Of course the hotels are<br />
well booked all winter. As a result there might be bottlenecks in<br />
terms of room capacity for short-term congresses and events. But<br />
all in all we’re doing very well and don’t lack for anything.<br />
