Für das exemplarische Druckerzeugnis,

erreicht werden sollen, kamen unter
anderem Kaltfolienprägungen in ungewöhnlichen
Kombinationen mit hybriden
Matt- und Glanzlacken zum Einsatz.
Exemplary: PrintCity Alliance. The cross-industry
PrintCity Alliance shows what we can
actually achieve on paper using innovative
printing technologies with the six-page invitation
it helped produce and design to the
FIPP World Magazine Congress, due to take
place in London in early May. The exempla ry
result is designed to attract maximum attention
and not least secure as many acceptances
for the Congress as possible. To this
end, it made use of cold foil embossing in
an unusual combination with hybrid matte
and gloss lacquers, among other techniques.

Ein einziges Papier für zwei unterschiedliche

– dank MediaPrint von Stora Enso.
Das multifunktionale, holzfrei gestrichene
Papier wurde ursprünglich für den Offsetdruck
entwickelt, eignet sich aber gleichermaßen
für den tonerbasierten Digitaldruck:
Beide Verfahren erzielen auf diesem Papier
das gleiche Druckergebnis. Das macht es
zum Beispiel möglich, Drucksachen mit
je einem allgemeinen und einem individualisierten
Teil kostensparend gleichzeitig
im Offset- und Digitaldruck zu produzieren.
Hybrid paper by Stora Enso. It is now possible
to use a single type of paper for two different
printing techniques – thanks to Media-
Print by Stora Enso. The multifunctional,
woodfree, coated paper was originally developed
for offset printing, but is equally suitable
for toner-based digital printing. Both
techniques give the same results on this paper.
This makes it possible, for example, to
produce printed material with one general
and one individualized element, while simultaneously
using offset and digital printing
methods and thus saving money.

animiert, wird in sechs warmen Farben

430 g / m 2 lieferbar. Mohair ist chlor-
und säurefrei sowie pH-neutral und daher

specialist Gmund has launched a product
that actually feels like the super soft wool of
the Angora goat. The paper, that we cannot
help but touch and stroke, is available in six
warm tones and the surface textures matte,
fabric, knit, trend and snake. All colors and
surfaces are delivered in cardboard boxes

and weighing 430 g / m 2 . Mohair is free of
chlorine and acid and is pH neutral, making
it extraordinarily resistant to aging.

auch seine hohe Resistenz gegen über Chemikalien,
Lösungsmitteln und Ausblutung.

a high-performance pigment with a yellowish
red tone. Irgazin Solid Red is a versatile diketo
pyrrolo pyrrol (DPP) pigment for use in paints
and coatings. Its particular advantages include
excellent ease of flow and intense shine,
as well as high resistance to chemicals, solvents
and bleeding. These properties make
Irgazin Solid Red an ideal pigment for premium
exterior architectural paints, all kinds
of industrial paints and automotive coatings.

Es gibt sicher Lacke, von denen weitaus
größere Volumen abgesetzt werden als
von Klavierlacken, doch in diesem kleinen,
aber feinen Bereich ist die BASF Coatings

edlen und zumeist schwarzen Lacke
schützen die kostbaren Instrumente über
Generationen gegen Beschädigungen und
Feuchtigkeit. Basis des Klavierlacks sind
ungesättigte Polyesterharze, die bei 200
Grad Celsius aus Alkoholen und Säuren
kondensiert werden; anschließend werden
Farbpigmente und Additive hinzugefügt.
Der Klavierhersteller übernimmt dann das
Lackieren – bei einem Flügel kann das bis
zu 120 Stunden dauern.

It is certainly true that there are finishes
that are sold in far greater volumes than piano
finishes, but nonetheless, in this small,
but exclusive segment, BASF Coatings is
the European market leader. The high-gloss,
elegant and mostly black finishes protect the
valuable instruments against damage and
