range epitomizing high quality, modern cuts, firstclass
print quality, ecologically sensitive materials and fair “social
production” in line with the requirements of the Fair Wear
Foundation in Turkey.
Since 2011 nakedshirt is teaming up with brands and
companies who are very clear in their renouncement of
human exploitation at all times. We do not have the solution
for every problem, but each small step we take helps
to achieve our desire and that of our customers to achieve
“better” textiles that are not produced in countries where
people are forced to work for a pittance.
nakedshirt is aware that the price of textiles is critical in the
purchasing decision for every category, including fashion,
promotion, working clothes or fan merchandise. In the final

Wichtig war es uns, ein nachvollziehbares und transparentes
Programm zu realisieren, das unsere Werte und Ziele
vertritt. Vollständigkeit oder die einzig wahren Lösungen
zu haben, ist nicht unser Anspruch. Es geht uns vielmehr
um die permanente Weiterentwicklung und Optimierung
des Ist-Zustands, um sozialer und ökologischer produzieren
zu können bzw. andere Marken zum Umdenken zu motivieren.
Da es keine allgemein anerkannten Richtlinien für umweltfreundliche,
nachhaltige, sowie gesundheits- und sozial
verträgliche Textilien gibt, haben wir uns für die Kooperation
und Kontrolle durch etablierte und glaubwürdige
Partner entschieden. Die entsprechenden Zertifikate
verlangen wir von unseren Herstellern. Zusätzlich sind wir
mehrmals im Jahr persönlich vor Ort und lassen die Fabriken
auf soziale Standards neutral durch die FWF (Fair Wear
Foundation) überwachen. Gerade die permanente Kommunikation
mit den Fabriken — das Sprechen über unsere
Ziele, die Werte und Ansprüche unserer Kunden — schafft
eine gemeinsame Basis, um im Verlauf der ganzen Produktionskette
nachhaltiges Handeln als Selbstverständlichkeit
zu etablieren.
It was important for us to achieve a clear and transparent
programme that reflects our values and objectives. We do
not claim to have every answer or to have the only real
solution. We are much more concerned with maintaining
the further development and improvement of the current
situation so that we can produce in a more social and ecological
way and encourage other brands to rethink.
Since there are no generally recognised guidelines for environmentally-friendly
and sustainable textiles which also
fulfil social and health criteria, we have taken the decision
to work with established and credible partners and adopt a
policy of control by monitoring. Our manufacturers are required
to provide appropriate certification. In addition, we
visit locations several times a year and have the sites independently
monitored for social standards by the FWF (Fair
Wear Foundation). It is precisely this on-going communication
with the production sites – discussions about objectives,
values and the requirements of our customers – that
creates a common basis enabling sustainable practices to
become standard across the entire production chain.

Ce que nous voulons, c’est développer l’état actuel
des choses afin de produire de façon plus sociale et plus
écologique voire même d’inciter d’autres marques àchanger

En l’absence de directives généralement reconnues en matière
de production de textiles écocompatibles, sains et socialement
responsables, nous avons décidé de faire contrôler
nos produits par des partenaires établis et crédibles.
Nous exigeons de la part de nos fabricants qu’ils nous
présentent les certificats correspondants. En outre, nous
nous rendons personnellement sur place, et demandons
à la fondation FWF (Fair Wear Foundation) de surveiller
les fabriques, de manière neutre, quant à leur respect des
normes sociales. C’est précisément grâce à cette communication
permanente avec les fabriques que nous instaurons
une base commune qui hisse l’ action durable tout au long
de la chaîne de production au rang d’évidence.

des Standortes haben wir den wichtigsten Schritt gemacht,

Zertifizierungssystem für textile Roh-, Zwischen- und
Endprodukte aller Verarbeitungsstufen. Die Zertifizierung
umfasst die Schadstoffprüfung und Parameter zur Gesundheitsvorsorge.
In ihrer Gesamtheit gehen die Anforderungen
nach OEKO-TEX deutlich über bestehende nationale
Gesetze hinaus.
Textilien können nur dann nach OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
zertifiziert werden, wenn alle Bestandteile eines Artikels
ausnahmslos den geforderten Kriterien entsprechen, z. B.
auch Knöpfe, Reißverschlüsse oder/und Care-Label. Wir bitten
Sie zu beachten, dass die OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Zertifikate
nur für unsere „nackten“ Textilien gültig sind. Unter
anderem nachträglich angebrachte Druck- oder Stickmotive
bzw. Etiketten benötigen einen eigenen Nachweis.
nakedshirt arbeitet grundsätzlich nur mit Herstellern, die
eine gültige Zertifizierung vorweisen können. Das Zertifikat
inkl. der Lizenznummer finden Sie in allen Textilien auf
dem Care-Label aufgedruckt.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent verification
and certification system for raw, interim and finished
textile products at every stage of processing. The certification
covers checking for illegal hazardous substances and
parameters for health protection. In their totality, the OE-
KO-TEX requirements go significantly further than existing
national legislation.
Textiles can only be certified in accordance with the
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 if every part of an article, without
exception, meets with the required criteria, for example,
this includes buttons, zips and/or care labels. Please note
that the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificates are only valid
for our own “naked” textiles. Print or embroidery designs
and labels added subsequently, for example, require their
own separate certification.
In principle, nakedshirt works only with producers who can
provide a valid certification. The certificate, including the licence
number, is printed on the care label of all the textiles.
La norme OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 est un système de
contrôle et de certification indépendant pour les produits
textiles bruts, semi-finis et finis de tous les stades de transformation.
La certification englobe le contrôle de présence
de substances nocives et l’implantation de mesures destinées
à préserver la santé. Les exigences imposées par le

Seuls les textiles dont tous les composants, sans exception,

Um die CO2-Belastung möglichst gering zu halten, den
Ausstoß von Schadstoffen zu reduzieren und die Menge an
benötigten Kraftstoffen zu reduzieren, achtet nakedshirt
bei der Warenbeschaffung auf möglichst kurze und effektive
Transportwege.
All boxes and packaging materials used by nakedshirt are
recyclable. The plastic bags used are free of PVC. Excess material
accumulating during production is collected and recycled.
That our producers comply with a strict separation
of waste and proper disposal goes without saying.
Chemicals used in the dye works and the working conditions
there accord with the GOTS Standard and the OE-
KO-TEX® Standard 100.
In order to keep CO2 pollution to a minimum, reduce hazardous
substances and lower the amount of fuel required,
nakedshirt strives to keep transport routes as short and effective
as possible.

Seite setzen Bauern immer öfter auf rentablere Produkte
wie Soja, Mais oder Getreide. Dadurch wird Baumwolle
immer knapper und in den nächsten Jahren immer (noch)
teurer. Der Kampf um das Wasser und auch die stetig steigenden
Kosten werden sich ebenfalls auf die Preise auswirken.
Unter Innovation versteht nakedshirt, alternative Rohstoffe
als Basis zu verwenden und somit den Anteil der klassischen
Baumwolle zu reduzieren.
Mit unseren Produkten, die aus einem 70 %igen Viskoseanteil
bestehen, bieten wir eine große Auswahl an zeitgemäßen
und vor allem auch sehr gut bedruckbaren Textilien an.
Die Verwendung von Bio-Baumwolle, die über den ganzen
Produktionsprozess GOTS-zertifiziert ist, bildet eine weitere
Alternative zur Standardbaumwolle. Unserer Verantwortung
gegenüber Mensch und Umwelt stellen wir uns mit
dem Einsatz der Bio-Baumwolle in zunehmendem Maß.
The demand for products made from cotton is increasing
globally on account of greater affluence. On the other
hand, farmers are opting more frequently for more profitable
products such as soya, corn or cereals.
As a result, cotton is becoming scarcer and will become
(even) more expensive in the coming years. The battle for
water and also the constantly increasing costs of cotton
seeds, fertilizer, pesticide, energy costs will also have an effect
on prices.
For nakedshirt, innovation means using alternative raw
materials as a base, thus reducing the proportion of conventional
cotton. For our products containing 70 % viscose,
we offer a wide choice of textiles that are modern and, in
particular, are ideal for printing.
The use of bio-cotton, which is GOTS certified across the
whole process, represents another alternative to standard
cotton. In particular, by using bio-cotton we are giving
greater consideration to the protection of people and the
environment.

Mit dem neutralen Größenlabel im Nacken bieten wir ausreichend
Platz für eine individuelle Textilkennzeichnung
und eine zusätzliche Werbefläche. Alternativ kann auch ein
Hangtag zur individuellen Gestaltung an dem gewebten
Größenlabel befestigt werden. Die Größenlabel mit einer
grünen Schrift weisen auf die Verwendung von Biobaumwolle
hin.
Alle Textilien werden mit einem Tear-away-Label in der Seitennaht
produziert. Durch das speziell gewählte Labelmaterial
lässt sich das Textil komplett „neutralisieren“. Einfach
das Label abreißen und alle Informationen zu nakedshirt
sind verschwunden.
Wichtige Informationen wie z. B. Materialzusammensetzung
in über 20 Sprachen, Herkunft der Ware oder Zertifikate
sind auf besonders weichen Labels gedruckt.
Bitte beachten Sie stets die gesetzlichen Auflagen zur Textilkennzeichnung!
Mit dem Heraustrennen des Tear-away-
Labels gehen wesentliche Informationen verloren. Diese
müssen je nach Verwendungszweck der Textilien wieder
hergestellt werden.
The neutral size label in the neck area provides plenty of
space for individual care labelling and additional advertising
space. Alternatively, an individually designed hangtag
can be attached to the size label. The labels with green font
indicate the use of organic cotton.
All textiles are produced with a tearaway-label in the side
seam. The specially selected label material allows the textile
to retain complete neutrality. Just tear the label off and
all information about nakedshirt disappears.
Important information such as the material composition in
over 20 languages, the origin of the goods or certificates is
printed on especially soft labels.
Please always observe the statutory requirements on textile
labelling! When tear-off labels are separated,
important information is lost. This must be restored
in accordance with the designated purpose of the textile.

Beim Bedrucken erreichen Sie mit unseren Textilien beste
Ergebnisse. Die Stoffe sind ringgesponnen und damit weicher
und bieten eine glatte Oberfläche. Das zusätzliche
Kämmen der Baumwolle ist eine Technik, die während des
Spinnens angewendet wird. Dabei werden Verunreinigungen,
Schmutz und kurze Fasern entfernt. Nach diesem Vorgang
ist das Gewebe fester und haltbarer.
Die Färbung der Stoffe findet grundsätzlich nur in umweltfreundlichen,
sozialen und zertifizierten Betrieben statt,

The cotton used by nakedshirt originates exclusively from
Turkey. In so doing, nakedshirt is making clear its opposition
to child labour and degrading working conditions.
For print work, our textiles will provide you with the best
results. The materials are ring-spun and thereby softer with
a smoother surface. The additional combing
of the cotton is a technique applied during spinning. This
removes impurities, dirt and short fibres. The fibre
is firmer and more durable after this process.
Dying of the material occurs strictly in environmentallyfriendly,
socially-acceptable and certified workshops; these
businesses include some of those workshops where our
GOTS bio-cotton products are made.
We exclusively use Single Jersey with a minimum weight
of 150 g/m2. Our best basics are 100 % manufactured for
subsequent finishing.
Le coton utilisé par nakedshirt est exclusivement de provenance
turque. Ainsi, nakedshirt adresse un signal clair
contre le travail des enfants et les conditions de travail inhumaines.
Nous obtenons les meilleurs résultats, avec nos textiles,

Die von nakedshirt eingesetzte türkische Bio-Baumwolle
entspricht dem weltweit anerkannten Global Organic Textile
Standard (GOTS). Die Kennzeichnung der Textilien mit
dem entsprechenden Logo (GOTS oder Blended) und der
Zertifizierungsnummer steht auf den Care-Labeln der Textilien.
Das Logo darf nur für unsere nicht veredelten Textilien
benutzt werden.
Bei GOTS gilt ein global einheitliches Label, das die Einhaltung
der anspruchsvollen ökologischen und sozialen
Kriterien entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette zusichert.
Durch Kontrolle und Transparenz werden die Ziele
wie keine Kinderarbeit, Zahlung von existenzsichernden
Mindestlöhnen, Recht auf Versammlungsfreiheit, keine
Zwangsarbeit, Einhaltung der Arbeitszeiten gemäß nationalen
Gesetzen und internationalen Standards, keine Diskriminierungen
von Arbeiter/-innen, feste Anstellungsverträge,
eine umweltfreundliche Produktion und ein sicheres,
sauberes und hygienisches Arbeitsumfeld umgesetzt.
Durch den Verzicht auf Pestizide und chemische Düngemittel
werden die Bauern und deren Familien vor Vergiftungen
geschützt und das Grund- und Trinkwasser nicht mehr verschmutzt.
Der Einsatz genmanipulierter Baumwollsamen
ist verboten.
The Turkish bio-cotton used by nakedshirt complies with
the globally recognised Global Organic Textile Standard
(GOTS). Marking of the textiles with the appropriate logo
(GOTS or blended) and the certification number are on
the textiles’ care labels. The logo may only be used for our
non-decorated textiles.
GOTS is a globally uniform label which assures compliance
with the demanding ecological and social criteria across
the entire value creation chain. Monitoring and transparency
will enable the realisation of objectives such as no child
labour, the payment of a living wage, the right to freedom
of assembly, no forced labour, compliance with working
hours that accord with national legislation and international
standards, no discrimination against employees, permanent
employment contracts, environmentally-friendly
production and a safe, clean and hygienic working environment.
By the non-use of pesticides and chemical fertilizer, farmers
and their families will be protected against poisoning, and
groundwater and drinking water will no longer be polluted.
The use of genetically modified cotton seeds is forbidden.

Auf der Suche nach einem alternativen Material zur Baumwolle
sind wir schon 2010 bei der Viskose aus Bambuszellstoff
fündig geworden. Grundsätzlich geht es uns darum,
in Zukunft immer mehr Materialien zu verwenden, die
Ressourcen wie Ackerland und Wasser schonen, umweltfreundlicher
sind und vor allem auch für möglichst viele
Veredelungstechniken verwendet werden können.
Der Riesenbambus, der vor allem in China heimisch ist und
weit verbreitet in Asien angepflanzt wird, erreicht unter
optimalen Bedingungen ein Wachstum von bis zu einem
Meter pro Tag und kann bis über 25 m hoch wachsen. Der
wesentliche Vorteil aus unserer Sicht gegenüber Baumwolle
ist, dass Bambuswälder ohne Pestizide, Düngung oder
Bewässerung wachsen können. Nach ca. 3 bis 5 Jahren ist
der Bambus zum ersten Mal zur Ernte bereit. Durch Sprossen
wächst der Bambus dann automatisch immer wieder
nach und ermöglicht mehrere Ernten pro Jahr: ein großer
Nachhaltigkeitsvorteil gegenüber der Baumwolle.
It was in 2010 when we were looking for an alternative to
cotton that we discovered viscose in bamboo cellulose. For
us, it is fundamentally a question of using more and more
materials in the future that preserve resources such as arable
land and water, that are more environmentally friendly
and above all, which can also be used for as many finishing
techniques as possible.
The gigantochloa (giant bamboo), which is mostly to
be found in China and is being planted all across Asia,
grows up to one metre a day under ideal conditions and
can grow to a height of more than 25 metres. In our opinion,
the main advantage over cotton is that bamboo forests
can grow without pesticide, fertilizer and irrigation. The
bamboo is ready to harvest for the first time after around 3
to 5 years. The bamboo sprouts and grows again and again
automatically and can be harvested several times a year: in
terms of sustainability, this is an advantage in comparison
with cotton.
Dès 2010, alors que nous étions à la recherche d’une matière
alternative au coton, nous avons trouvé notre bonheur
avec la viscose de bambou. Ce qui nous importe, pour
l‘essentiel, c‘est d‘utiliser de plus en plus de matériaux, à
l‘avenir, qui ménagent les ressources telles que les terrains
agricoles et l’eau, qui sont plus écologiques et surtout, qui
permettent le recours au plus grand nombre possible de
techniques d’ennoblissement.
Le bambou géant, originaire de Chine, dont la culture est
largement répandue en Asie, peut atteindre une croissance,
dans des conditions optimales, allant jusqu’à un mètre par
jour pour 25 m de hauteur au total. L’un des avantages essentiels,
de notre point de vue, par rapport au coton est
que les forêts de bambou peuvent grandir sans pesticides,
sans engrais ni irrigation. Après 3 à 5 ans environ, le bambou
est prêt pour sa première récolte. Grâce aux jeunes
pousses, le bambou repousse sans cesse tout seul et permet
plusieurs récoltes àl’année : l’un des grands avantages
par rapport au coton.
