Tabelle 1 zeigt eine Übersicht<strong>der</strong> <strong>der</strong>zeit bekannten Risikofaktoren für die Entwicklungeiner MGD [ 14 ]. Da es sich bei <strong>der</strong> MGD folglich um einpotentiell multifaktoriell bedingtes Krankheitsbild handelt,sind weitere Studien bezüglich des Ausmaßes <strong>der</strong>verschiedenen Einflussfaktoren wünschenswert. Auchgezielte Untersuchungen bezüglich <strong>der</strong> Verbreitung <strong>der</strong>asymptomatischen MGD innerhalb <strong>der</strong> Normalbevölkerungwären sinnvoll, da anzunehmen ist, dass in diesemFrühstadium potentielle Spätfolgen, wie zum Beispiel<strong>der</strong> irreversible Ausfall von Meibom-Drüsen, eventuellnoch verhin<strong>der</strong>t werden könnten [ 25 , 28 ].Als Fazit für die klinische Betreuung von PatientInnenmit Beschwerden im Sinne eines Trockenen Auges bleibtfestzuhalten, dass eine genaue Diagnostik und Abklärungunerlässlich ist. Bei einem nicht unerheblichenProzentsatz <strong>der</strong> Betroffenen bestehen Mischformen ausEDE und ATD bedingtem Trockenen Auge, die eineradäquaten Therapie bedürfen. Neben einer Benetzungstherapiemit Lipidzusatz kommen auch <strong>der</strong> Einsatz vonliposomalen Fettsprays und physikalische Maßnahmenzur Freisetzung des Meiboms (unter an<strong>der</strong>em Erwärmungund Massage) in Frage.InteressenskonfliktEs besteht kein Interessenskonflikt.Literatur1.
