Das KulturundBürgerhaus (KuB) Denzlingen bietet einen tollenWeitblick ins Grüne und auf den Schwarzwald.Eine idyllische Kulisse. Doch der Schein trügt. Geradeals die Tische eingedeckt und die Vorbereitungenfür das Event fast abgeschlossen sind, wirdes dunkel am Horizont und der Wind bläst den Organisatorendas Equipment um die Ohren. EinheimischeDienstleister beruhigen betont lässig süddeutsch„das zieht vorüber“, doch sie irren. Innerhalbvon Minuten setzt ein heftiger Platzregen ein.„Eine Vollkatastrophe“, sagt Mirjam Dilg rückblickend.„Die Technik, die Tischdecken – komplettnass. Wir mussten alles nach drinnen verlegen.“Für eine Lagebesprechung bleibt keine Zeit, dieSommernachtsparty beginnt in eineinhalb Stunden.„Es gab zwar einen Plan B – aber wir habendann doch aus der Situation heraus reagiert.“Drei m:con-Kollegen, fünf Veranstaltungstechniker,vier Mitarbeiter des KuB, acht Künstler unddrei Dienstleister helfen mit: „Alle haben wirklichüberall mit angepackt.“ Die Floristin trocknetLautsprecher ab, der Tontechniker poliert das Geschirrund die Band stellt die Bühne um. „Wir habenInitiative ergriffen und das Beste daraus gemacht“,lobt Dilg und erklärt, wie sie die Herausforderungnoch gemeistert hat: „Cool bleibenhilft“, lacht sie.Als die ersten Gäste kommen, deckt sie amhinteren Ende des Saals noch einen Tisch ein.Punktlandung. Und als dann doch wieder die Sonnehervorkommt, wird der Apéro kurzerhand abermalsins Freie verlegt. Aber das ist für die Beteiligtennun wirklich keine Herausforderung mehr.Christian FunkCIM: Wie konnten Sie die Sommernachtspartynoch retten?Mirjam Dilg: Indem wirklich alle Gewerke Handin Hand agiert haben, die gute Laune nicht verlorenging und das gesamte Team das Beste ausdieser verregneten Situation machen wollte.Was war dabei Ihre größte Herausforderung?Zu akzeptieren, dass man sich von schönenIdeen wie z.B. einem tollen Lichtdesign für dieBühnenshow spontan verabschieden muss.Umso schöner, wenn die Gäste, die das Konzeptja nicht kennen, es kaum bemerken undWelchen Tipp haben Sie für andere Planer,damit derartig „böse Überraschungen“ künftigvermieden werden können?Plan B und C in der Tasche zu haben und alleGewerke im Vorfeld darüber zu informierenund ins Boot zu holen. Auf diese Weiseverliert man, wenn es brenzlig wird, nicht allzuviel Zeit mit langen Erklärungen und endloserDiskussion. An idyllic setting.But appearances are deceiving. No soonerhave the tables been set and preparationsfor the event almost completed, when darkclouds appear on the horizon and the windstarts blowing the equipment into the organisers’faces. Local service providers tryto calm people down with a casual “It’llpass,” but they are wrong. In a matter ofminutes a violent downpour sets in.“An utter disaster,” says Mirjam Dilg lookingback. “The equipment, the tablecloths– all completely soaked. We had to relocateeverything indoors.” There was notime to discuss the situation, the MidsummerNight’s Party was to kick off one and ahalf hours later. “We did have a Plan B –but we simply reacted according to thesituation.” Three m:con colleagues, fivetechnicians, four KuB staff members, eightartists and three service providers lent ahelping hand: “They all really pitched inwith everything.” The florist dried theloudspeakers, the technician polished thetableware and the band reorganised thestage. “We simply took the initiative andmade the best out of it,” praises Dilg andexplains how she mastered the challengein the end: “It helps to keep calm,” shelaughs. When the first guests arrived, shewas still setting the last table at the end ofthe hall. A precision landing.
