Die Ausgabenfür Transport, Registrierung, Unterbringungund persönliches Taschengeld währendder durchschnittlich ermittelten Dauervon 4,3 Aufenthaltstagen bezifferten die Befragtenmit 1.461,51 Euro.Die Relevanz der Meetingindustrie für Lissabonund Portugal spiegelt sich auch darin,dass der 25th Bolsa de Turismo Lisboa (BTL),vom 27. Februar bis 3. März 2013 in der FeiraInternacional de Lisboa, Geschäftsreisen sowieMeetings und Incentives in den Fokus gerückthat. Ein weiterer BTL-Schwerpunkt warenGolfreisen. Vom 23. bis 25. Oktober 2013fand im Tivióli Lisboa Hotel die von der EuropeanGolf Course Owners Association(EGCOA) organisierte European Golf BusinessConference mit über 200 Gästen statt.Als Golfziel wird derzeit die Region Oestenördlich Lissabons ausgebaut. Nach der Eröffnungdes Hilton Bom Sucesso Golf undSpa in Óbidos geht hier 2014 der Royal ObidosSPA & Golf Resort an den Start. Im nahenAlcobaca, ebenfalls in Oeste, eröffnete dasReal Abadia Congress & Spa Hotel.Lissabons Hotellerie hat einen wesentlichenAnteil am Erfolg der Destination und ist oftselbst Schauplatz von Kongressen. Im LisboaMarriott Hotel, ausgestattet mit 576 Zimmern,18 Tagungsräumen und 2.000 qm Ausstellungsfläche,tagten vom 12. bis 14. Sep-has eight auditoriums for up to 1,650 delegates. These were the 27thWorld Buiatrics Congress (WBC), the Annual Congress of the Cardiovascularand Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE)and the 17th World Congress on Controversies in Gynecology, Obstetricsand Infertility (COGI).The survey revealed that Spain accounted for most delegates(13.4 per cent), followed by the UK and Italy. Germany was rankedfourth with 8.6 per cent of the delegates. 57.8 per cent of the delegateswere male, and 93.1 per cent came by air. 58.7 per cent bookeda 4-star hotel and 23.5 per cent a 5-star hotel. 15.7 per cent stayed inLisbon after the convention, and 50.4 per cent had been to the citybefore. 42.6 per cent attend a single convention a year on average,and only 8.7 per cent attend three or more conventions a year.When asked to evaluate their convention, the respondents accordedgreater importance to the quality of the venue and the accompanyingprogramme of events than to pricing. They rated Lisbonoverall as the city with the best conventions. 99.8 per cent would recommendLisbon as both a convention and tourist destination. Theirestimated expenditure on transport, registration, accommodation,local transport and spending money for an average stay of 4.3 dayswas 1,461.51 euros.The relevance of the meetings industry for Lisbon and Portugalwas also reflected at the 25th BTL International Tourism Exhibitionfrom 27 February to 3 March 2013 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa(FIL), which included a strong focus on business trips, meetings andincentives as well as golf trips. The European Golf Business Conferenceof the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA) washeld from 23 to 25 October 2013 at the Tivoli Lisboa hotel and attendedby over 200 delegates.
