Grusswort des SGOT-Präsidenten<br />
Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen<br />
Sehr geehrte Freunde der Orthopädie<br />
Die Entwicklungen in der Chirurgie des Bewegungsapparates interessieren<br />
uns, faszinieren uns, aber fordern uns auch heraus: wir alle müssen Schritt<br />
halten, um unseren Patienten zeitgerechte Abklärungen, Behandlungen und<br />
Nachbehandlungen anbieten zu können. Als Schweizerische Gesellschaft für<br />
Orthopädie und Traumatologie sollten wir dazu beitragen, dass aus unserer Mitte<br />
möglichst viele Schrittmacher entstehen, die der schweizerischen orthopädischen<br />
Tradition folgend, Wesentliches zu unserem Fach beitragen. Die Gesellschaft soll<br />
dazu Voraussetzungen mitschaffen und auch Möglichkeit bieten, Wesentliches<br />
und Neues zu erfahren oder zu präsentieren.<br />
Zu diesem Zwecke treffen wir uns vom <strong>27.</strong> bis <strong>29.</strong> Juni <strong>2012</strong> in Basel zu unserem<br />
Jahreskongress. Die Gesellschaft wird alles daran setzen, Ihnen ein wertvolles,<br />
spannend lehrreiches Programm zu bieten und damit beizutragen, dass die<br />
orthopädischen Patienten in der Schweiz zuverlässiger und besser behandelt<br />
werden als irgendwo sonst.<br />
Vorstand und Kongressorganisatoren werden alles daran setzen, Ihnen neues<br />
Wissen und neues Können zu vermitteln und neue, von der Forschung oder der<br />
Industrie erarbeitete Lösungskonzepte aus nächster Nähe vorstellen zu lassen.<br />
Der Kongress dient in erster Linie einer noch besseren Patientenversorgung; wie<br />
letztes Jahr soll er aber auch zeigen, was für ein faszinierendes Fach Orthopädie<br />
war, ist und bleiben wird und dass die Begegnung mit denjenigen, die dieses<br />
Fach betreiben, die Reise an unseren Jahreskongress rechtfertigt.<br />

Bienvenue du Président de la SSOT<br />
Chers confrères,<br />
Chers amis de l’orthopédie,<br />
Les évolutions de la chirurgie de l’appareil locomoteur nous intéressent, nous<br />
fascinent, mais nous obligent également à relever des défis: nous devons<br />
rester à niveau pour être en mesure d’offrir à nos malades des diagnostics, des<br />
soins et des traitements postopératoires de pointe. En tant que Société Suisse<br />
d’Orthopédie et de Traumatologie, nous devons tout mettre en œuvre pour que<br />
sortent de nos rangs de nombreux médecins qui feront avancer notre spécialité,<br />
dans la tradition de l’orthopédie suisse. La Société doit contribuer à réunir les<br />
conditions nécessaires et leur offrir la possibilité d’apprendre ou de présenter les<br />
progrès importants.<br />
C’est dans ce but que nous nous retrouverons lors de notre congrès annuel<br />
à Bâle du 27 au 29 juin <strong>2012</strong>. La Société mettra tout en œuvre pour vous<br />
proposer un programme d’enseignement de qualité afin d’offrir aux malades<br />
orthopédiques suisses un traitement plus fiable et meilleur que n’importe où<br />
ailleurs.<br />
Le comité et les organisateurs du congrès mettront tout en œuvre pour vous<br />
transmettre de nouvelles connaissances et de nouveaux savoir-faire et vous<br />
présenteront en détail les solutions issues de la recherche ou de l’industrie.<br />
Le congrès a pour principal objectif d’améliorer le traitement des patients;<br />
comme l’année dernière, nous souhaitons aussi démontrer à quel point<br />
l’orthopédie a été, est et restera fascinante et que la rencontre avec des praticiens<br />
qui ont choisi cette spécialité justifie amplement le déplacement pour notre<br />
congrès annuel.<br />

Die Stadt Basel und das Basler Kongresszentrum erwarten Sie vom <strong>27.</strong> bis <strong>29.</strong> Juni<br />
<strong>2012</strong> zum 72. Jahreskongress der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und<br />
Traumatologie!<br />
Gerade für die diesjährigen beiden Hauptthemen <strong>–</strong> nämlich die Bedeutung der<br />
Langzeitresultate in der Prothetik und Innovationen in der Frakturbehandlung -<br />
kann das Universitätsspital Basel jahrzehntelange Entwicklungen und Resultate<br />
vorweisen, welche mit Martin Allgöwer und Erwin Morscher ihren Anfang nahmen.<br />
Nach der Emeritierung von Prof. Walter Dick im Jahre 2008 freuen sich seine<br />
Nachfolger, welche die Chirurgie des Bewegungsapparates in einer neuen<br />
universitären Struktur weiterentwickeln, in Basel begrüssen zu dürfen. Als<br />
Mitglieder des wissenschaftlichen Programms und als Verantwortliche für das<br />
Rahmenprogramm, setzen die zwei Kongresspräsidenten alles daran, Ihnen einen<br />
hervorragenden Kongress vorzubereiten.<br />
