Specific information about how techniques have been developed for specific use slaugh-
terhouse or animal by-products activities was sought. Due to the lack of such information,
only general information on waste water treatment techniques used in the industry can be
provided in the BREF.

Applicable in slaughterhouses and rendering plants.
Economics
The technique is considered to be economically advantageous because all of the proc-
esses can be undertaken in one tank.
