Apart from slaughtering by-products and slaughtering waste, one has to deal mainly with
primary solids which are produced during the transport, the keeping in sheds, the cutting
(for instance straw and manure, faeces and urine, contents from rumen, stomach, and
bowels, etc.), and secondary solids produced during the wastewater and exhaust air
treatment (for instance sieve and rake material, fats, floating matter).
The primary residues are subdivided into the following lines:
Green line: Lorry cleaning and sheds
Red line: Slaughtering and cutting
Yellow line: Evisceration and emptying of stomachs, bowels, and
rumens

and their possible treatment and utilisation methods.
