The poultry is delivered in crates; after weighing, the animals are hung from a slaughter-<br />

ing chain. After stunning by electro-shock in a water bath, the animals are them killed by a<br />

rotary knife. After bleeding, the animals are put into a scalding cauldron in or<strong>der</strong> to im-<br />

proved the plucking process; from there, they are conveyed into plucking machines set<br />

behind each other for plucking.<br />

For the next processing steps (anus cut, etc.), mainly automatic implements are used<br />
