CYLINDER MAY EXPLODE IF DAMAGED: Use only compressed gas cylinders containing thecorrect shielding gas for the process used and properly operating regulators designed for the gas andpressure used. It is rated for 350Amps at 35% and300amps at 60% duty cycle. The standard machine isequipped to weld CC-Stick, CC-GTAW, CV-FCAW,synergic and non-synergic CV-GMAW /synergicGMAW-P processes. The digital microcomputerbased control system allows easy and accurateadjustment of weld parameters through the multiprocesspanel located on the front of the machine. ThePW345M C, is equipped according to the choosenversion with a 3-pin connector to allow operation of apush-pull gun for feeding aluminum wires.It is available with:• 230 VAC/ 3.5 amp auxiliary power for water cooler.For a quick and easy handling within the welding area,itis factory mounted on a built-in undercarriage equippedwith a platform for a gas cylinder.Input Supply ConnectionCheck the input voltage, phase, and frequency suppliedto this machine before turning it on. The allowable inputvoltage is indicated in the technical specification sectionof this manual and on the rating plate of the machine.Verify the connection of grounding wires from themachine to the input source. The frame of this machinemust be grounded. A ground terminal located on thebase of the generator is provided for this purpose.This machine is factory 3ph-400V connected. Toconnect it in 3ph-230V, remove the left case panel of themachine to have access to the input reconnect panel.Modify the connections according to the connectiondiagram located on the inside of the case side.Gas ConnectionOnce a gas cylinder has been securely installed on themachine, connect the gas hose of the input cable to thegas cylinder using a flow regulator.Controls on the Case FrontLocation and EnvironmentThis machine will operate in harsh environments.However, it is important that simple preventativemeasures are followed to assure long life and reliableoperation.• Do not place or operate this machine on a surfacewith an incline greater than 7° from horizontal.• Do not use this machine for pipe thawing.• This machine must be located where there is freecirculation of clean air without restrictions for airmovement to and from the air vents. Do not coverthe machine with paper, cloth or rags whenswitched on.• Dirt and dust that can be drawn into the machineshould be kept to a minimum.• This machine has a protection rating of IP23. It canbe used in moderate raining conditions withoutcausing any danger for users' safety.• Locate the machine away from radio controlledmachinery. Normal operation may adversely affectthe operation of nearby radio controlled machinery,which may result in injury or equipment damage.Read the section on electromagnetic compatibility inthis manual.• Do not operate in areas with an ambienttemperature greater than 40°C.• Only operate with the right door of the machineclosed.• Only use 15kg-coils, type 300 with this machine.A.
