EN11 Maintenance11.1 Changing the BatteriesYou can see the status of the battery by looking at the battery symbol in the top righthandcorner of the display.The following status are possible:Battery is fullBattery is a little lowBattery is lowBattery is emptyWhen the batteries are almost empty, the warning "Low Battery " is displayed. Afterthe second warning "Battery Empty", the instrument switches itself off.If the batteries are flat, you can easily replace them.WARNINGWhen opening the battery compartment or exchanging batteries,sparks may be generated which can cause an explosion or fire inhazardous areas. Serious injuries are possible.• Never open the battery cover in hazardous areas.• Only replace the batteries outside hazardous areas.NOTICE • Always observe the correct polarity when replacing thebatteries.• Only use batteries of the same type and with the same level ofbattery charge.• For DMA 35 instruments with ATEX marking (DMA 35 Ex andDMA 35 Ex Petrol), only use the permitted alkaline battery typeEN91 (LR06, AA) from Energizer Industrial.1.
