EN9.4 Selecting the Measurement ModeDMA 35 provides three different measurement modes - "Precise", "Fast" and"Manual". According to the measurement mode selected, different stability criteriahave to be fulfilled before the result is stored. The stability criterion is always relatedto the temperature:• When the measurement mode "Precise" is selected, the result is stored as soonas the measured temperature value stays within 0.2 K for 10 seconds. Thismeasurement mode delivers the most accurate results, but may take a longertime in case the sample temperature differs greatly from the ambienttemperature.• When the measurement mode "Fast" is selected, the result is stored as soon asthe measured temperature value stays within 0.4 K for 10 seconds. Thismeasurement mode delivers quicker results than the "Precise" mode, but as thedensity is highly temperature dependent, the measured result is not thataccurate.• The measurement mode "Manual" enables you to decide yourself when to storeyour measurement result. The result is stored immediately after pressing the key on the backside of the instrument.1. Press and select "Measurement Mode".2. Select the preferred setting (Precise, Fast, Manual) and press .9.5 Using the RFID Function (Only for Versions with RFID Interface)The product versions DMA 35 Tag&Log, DMA 35 Ex and DMA 35 Ex Petrol areequipped with an RFID interface, enabling you to uniquely link an RFID tag to amethod and/or sample ID. The RFID tag can either be allocated to a sample ID and/or method on the instrument or can be programmed accordingly. By reading the RFIDtag that has been uniquely allocated to a method and/or sample ID or programmedaccordingly, when the instrument displays the main screen, this method and/orsample ID is automatically used for the following measurements.9.5.1 Preconditions for Using RFIDThe reading range of the RFID receiver integrated in DMA 35 is about 2 cm. The RFIDtag has to be situated within this area to enable data exchange with DMA 35.TIPThe larger the diameter of a tag, the larger is the reading range.42 C96IB01
