8. Datenlage zu Nebenwirkungen und Lebensqualität<br />
8.1.1 <strong>Seed</strong>-Dislokationen<br />
Im postoperativen Verlauf nach <strong>Seed</strong>-<strong>Implantation</strong> kann es zur<br />
Migration von <strong>Seed</strong>s aus dem Zielorgan Prostata in die Peripherie<br />
kommen. <strong>Seed</strong>s können <strong>bei</strong>spielsweise durch den Venenplexus<br />
der Prostatakapsel über das venöse System bis in<br />
die rechte Herzkammer und in den Lungenkreislauf gelangen.<br />
Bei anatomischen Besonderheiten, z.B. offenes Foramen<br />
ovale, ist auch eine <strong>Seed</strong>migration in die linke Herzkammer<br />
und damit in den großen Körperkreislauf möglich. Alternativ<br />
zum Weg über das venöse Blutsystem können <strong>Seed</strong>s auch<br />
über den Harntrakt (Harnblase und Harnröhre dislozieren und<br />
zu <strong>Seed</strong>verlusten in der Prostata führen. Einflussfaktoren für<br />
das Auftreten von <strong>Seed</strong>-Verlusten bzw. die Migration von<br />
<strong>Seed</strong>s können <strong>bei</strong>spielsweise sein: Verwendung von Einzel-<br />
<strong>Seed</strong>s versus Verwendung von Strands, Gesamtanzahl der implantierten<br />
<strong>Seed</strong>s und Anzahl der extraprostatisch implantierten<br />
<strong>Seed</strong>s.<br />
