Due to possible variations inthe bodywork the final user mayhave to shorten or about the mouldings.The support locations for thebacking strip resulting from this haveto be determined by the user. It is advisableto use a template to facilitatethe installation of the backing strips.The EPDM rubber moulding (88±5Shore A) is supplied in bulk and iscut to length to match the aluminiumstrips. End caps are available in leftand right hand versions and aremade of gravity die-cast aluminiumalloy, yellow chromated and powdercoated in black. To meet vehicle industryrequirements the parts arecorrosion resistant and suitable forexternal applications. The aluminiumcomponents are anodized, the captivescrews and nuts are zink-platedand yellow chromated.These special advantages should beemphasized:1. Engineering the backing unitsto be glued in the gap at thewindow minimizes the hazardof body corrosion by elminatingthe screw mounts in conventionalstrips2. The height adjustment featureensures that the strip will runstraight along the vehicle.3.
