GBFor less intensive use, the oil change is performed onceper year.To change the oil in the hydraulic power pack, remove thescrew (item 12, figure 1, page 7) located under the tank.USED OIL MUST BE DISPOSED OF IN COMPLIANCEWITH APPLICABLE REGULATIONS.The drain screw has a magnetic part used to recovermetallic particles.Carefully clean the screw before reinstalling it in itshousing.Check that the drain screw and washer are correctly inplace before filling the tank with oil.12.3 Gasoline engineFor the gasoline engine servicing operations, proceed asinstructed in the specific manual (appended to thismanual).13. UNAUTHORIZED USED OF SUPERTIRFOREQUIPMENTSafe use of your SUPERTIRFOR equipment will beensured by following the instructions given in this manual.The following unauthorized actions are strictly prohibited.Do not:- Use the machine described in this manual to lift persons.- Secure the machine by any other means other than theanchoring component provided with your unit.- Block the machine in a fixed position or hinder selfalignmentof the machine in the direction of the load.- Apply a load on a SUPERTIRFOR wire rope strandcoming out of the anchoring side.- Knock on the control units.- Use a TU16H and a TU32H simultaneously to lift or pull asame load.- Use a setup in which the SUPERTIRFOR machinemoves along the wire rope.- Operate the machine in the forward direction to a pointthat the wire rope hook comes into contact with thecasing.- Operate the machine in the reverse direction to a pointwhere the wire rope end moves into the casing.- Use the SUPERTIRFOR wire rope as a slinging means.- Use any other wire rope other than a SUPERTIRFORwire rope.- Handle the wire rope without appropriate PersonnelProtection Equipment.- Allow a tensioned wire rope to bear and rub against anobstacle.- Expose the wire rope to temperatures exceeding 100°C,or to mechanical or chemical agents which could damagethe wire rope.- Use the SUPERTIRFOR machine with any kind offoreign matter inside the unit.- Fit two rams simultaneously on a SUPERTIRFORTU16H machine.- Fit the extending control handle on the forward or reverseoperating levers when the SUPERTIRFOR machine isequipped with a ram.- Attempt to maneuver the clutch handle when the machinehas a load.- Hinder free movement of the reverse operating lever, theforward operating lever or the clutch handle.- Simultaneously actuate the forward and reverse operatinglevers.- Use any other means of maneuvering the machine otherthan the original extending handle or the ram.- Replace the SUPERTIRFOR safety pins with anythingother than genuine SUPERTIRFOR safety pins of thesame model.- Use greases or oils containing molybdenum disulfide orgraphite additives to lubricate the wire rope or themachine.- Connect a TU16H to an outlet marked “TU32H”.- Operate a hydraulic power pack without oil in the tank.- Connect more than 4 rams to a same hydraulic powerpack.- Throw away used oil without complying with applicableenvironment protection regulations.- Fill the fuel tank of the gasoline engine while the engine isrunning.- Smoke near a hydraulic power pack with gasoline enginewhen filling the engine tank with fuel.- Use any other fuel than the fuel recommended.- Use the power pack with gasoline engine in a closedroom, even if the doors or windows are open. Thegasoline engine produces carbon monoxide which is apoisonous, odour-free, invisible gas. Inhalation of carbonmonoxide can cause nausea, fainting and death.- Place anything on the exhaust pipe or on the body of thegasoline engine when in use or after use of the engine.The metal parts of the gasoline engine conduct heat andcan cause burns when in contact with human skin.- Run the electric motor in the counter-clockwise direction.- Connect the hydraulic power pack with electric motorwithout a proper ground connection.- Use the machine when the electrical protection devicesare not properly sized.- Block the electric motor control button in the “on” positionusing an external device.- Touch the fins while the motor is turning.- Pull the hydraulic power pack by its power cable.- 18 -
