Vorwort
Die Beurteilung von Maschinen, Fertigungseinrichtungen
und einer laufenden Fertigung
basiert auf der statistischen Auswertung von
Merkmalswerten. Die Merkmalswerte stammen
von Messsystemen, mit deren Hilfe vordefinierte
Merkmale gemessen werden. Um Fehlinterpretationen
zu vermeiden, müssen die erfassten
Messwerte den tatsächlichen Sachverhalt
ausreichend sicher widerspiegeln.
Diese Forderungen sind in verschiedenen Normen
und Verbandsrichtlinien festgehalten. Insbesondere
beim Aufbau und bei der Zertifizierung
eines Qualitätsmanagementsystems nach
DIN EN ISO 9000ff, QS-9000 oder VDA 6.1
wird ein Unternehmen mit dieser Fragestellung
konfrontiert. Einerseits gibt es diese Forderung
schon sehr lange, andererseits aber keine konkreten
Hinweise, wie diese Forderungen umgesetzt
werden sollen. Daher haben sich insbesondere
die Großkonzerne der Automobilindustrie
und deren Zulieferer in den vergangenen
Jahren eigene Richtlinien zur Beurteilung
von Messsystemen geschaffen. Die Konsequenz
war, dass die entstandenen Richtlinien
vom Prinzip her alle ähnlich waren, sich allerdings
teilweise in der Vorgehensweise, der Berechnungsmethodik
und den geforderten
Grenzwerten unterschieden haben. Dies stellt
Festlegungen
vornehmen.
Preface
The evaluation of machines, production facilities,
and of ongoing production is based on the
statistical evaluation of measurement values.
These measurement values are supplied by
measurement systems used to measure predefined
characteristics. In order to avoid erroneous
conclusions, the recorded measurement
values must reflect the true situation with an
appropriate degree of accuracy.
These requirements are defined in various
standards and association guidelines. This issue
is of particular importance to companies involved
in the creation and certification of a quality
management system according to DIN EN
ISO 9000ff, QS-9000 or VDA 6.1. On the one
hand, these requirements have been in existence
for a very long time, but on the other hand
there are no specific instructions as to the practical
implementation of these requirements. For
this reason, major automotive manufacturers,
and their supplier base, have been among the
first to develop their own guidelines for the
evaluation of measurement systems during the
past few years. The consequence was that the
created guidelines were all based on very similar
concepts, but exhibited differences concerning
individual aspects of procedure, calculation
methods and minimum requirements. This
poses a significant problem for the manufacturers
of measurement systems and the customer/
supplier relationship. The suppliers are faced
with different requirements, which must be met
depending on the demands made by the individual
customer. The inspector is faced with the
problem that his acceptance terms must be
changed every time.
In order to create a higher degree of transparency,
this work group was set up on the suggestion
of the automotive industry with the objective “to
create a uniform reference manual for the determination
of measurement systems capability in
the automotive industry and its supplier base.”
The guideline must take into account existing
standards and association guidelines. Within the
framework of the work group it was possible to
reach consensus on the important issues regarding
calculation methods and to give a recommendation
for minimum requirements. From this
baseline, companies are able to supplement individual
requirements regarding general acceptance
terms and practical implementation.
1.3 Forderung aus QS-9000
„Prüfmittelüberwachung“ Element 4.11 „Untersuchung
von Messsystemen“:
Es sind angemessene statistische Untersuchungen
zur Beurteilung von Messsystemen
und Prüfeinrichtungen durchzuführen. Die dabei
angewandten analytischen Methoden und
Annahmekriterien sollten mit denen in dem Referenz-Manual
„Measurement Systems Analysis“
übereinstimmen. Andere analytische Methoden
und Annahmekriterien können ebenfalls
angewandt werden, sofern der Kunde damit
einverstanden ist.
1.4 Forderung aus VDA 6.1
Auszug aus Abschnitt 16 "Prüfmittelüberwachung"
Voraussetzung zum Einsatz von Prüfmitteln
(Prüfeinrichtungen einschließlich Prüfsoftware
und Lehren) ist die Sicherstellung, dass das
Prüfmittel für den vorgesehenen Zweck geeignet
ist, z.B. durch Prüfmittelfähigkeitsnachweis
bzw. Vergleichsmessung.
Prüfmittel sind so auszuwählen, dass die zu
prüfenden Merkmale mit einer vertretbaren Unsicherheit,
die bekannt sein muss, gemessen
werden können.
Abhängig von Prozess-/Produktspezifikation
und der Prüfanweisung ergibt sich die höchstzulässige
Messunsicherheit.
Die „Fähigkeit von Prüfmitteln“ wird von der
Messunsicherheit des Prüfmittels im Verhältnis
zur Toleranz des Prüfmerkmals bestimmt.
Die Fähigkeitsuntersuchung von Prüfmitteln ist
über statistische Auswertung von Messreihen
nachzuweisen. Dies kann rechnerisch oder
grafisch erfolgen (Korrelationsdiagramm). Hierbei
sind spezielle Kundenforderungen soweit
möglich zu berücksichtigen, andere Verfahren
sind ggf. zu vereinbaren.
Die Prüfmittelfähigkeit wird über die Wiederholbarkeit
oder Vergleichbarkeit mit Hilfe der
Spannweiten-Methode oder der Mittelwert- und
Spannweiten-Methode unter Beachtung des
Zufallsstreubereiches (95%, 99%, 99,73%) ermittelt.
1.3 QS-9000 Requirements
Paragraph 4.11 “Control of Inspection, Measuring
and Test Equipment”:
Evidence is required that appropriate statistical
studies have been conducted to analyze the
variation present in the results of each type of
measuring and test equipment system. The
analytical methods and acceptance criteria
used should conform to those in the Measurement
Systems Analysis reference manual.
Other analytical methods and acceptance criteria
may be used if approved by the customer.
1.4 VDA 6.1 Requirements
Excerpt from chapter 16 "Gage control"
Before any inspection, measuring or test
equipment (including software and gages) can
be used, it must be ensured that the equipment
used is suitable for its purpose, e.g. by demonstrating
measurement system capability or by
carrying out comparative measurements.
Inspection, measuring or test equipment must
be selected such that the characteristics to be
checked can be measured with a known and
acceptable degree of uncertainty.
The maximum permissible uncertainty of
measurement depends on the product or process
specification.
“Measurement system capability” is a function
of the system’s uncertainty of measurement
relative to the characteristic’s tolerance.
Measurement system capability studies must
be based on statistical analyses of sets of
measurement values. Both calculation and
graphical methods (scatter plot) can be used
for this. In the analysis, special customer requirements
should be taken into account as far
as possible, and the use of other methods
should be agreed as appropriate.
Measurement system capability is determined
based on repeatability or reproducibility using
the range method or the average and range
method, based on a 95%, 99% or 99.73%
spread.
Das Ergebnis der Untersuchung wird nicht nur
durch das Prüfmittel selbst, sondern durch
Einflüsse bestimmt, wie z.B.
• Beschaffenheit der geprüften Produkte
• Bedienungsperson
• Messaufnahmen
• Spannmittel
• Umgebungsbedingungen.
Die Notwendigkeit eines Fähigkeitsnachweises
für Prüfmittel ist u.a. abhängig von:
• der Messunsicherheit des Prüfmittels
• der Komplexität des Prüfmittels
• dem Einsatz ineinandergreifender
Prüfmittel/Prüfmethoden.
Das gilt vorwiegend für komplexe Prüfmittel wie
z.B.:
• Messmaschinen
• MehrstellenMessvorrichtungen
• Messmittel zur statistischen
Messwertaufnahme
The results of the study do not just reflect the
measuring equipment itself, but also other influences
such as
• properties of the measured items
• appraiser
• measurement receptacles
• clamping devices
• environmental conditions
The need for a proof of measurement system
capability depends, amongst others, on:
• the system’s uncertainty of measurement
• the system’s complexity
• the use of interlocking measurement systems/methods
This is particularly true for complex measurement
equipment such as:
• gaging machines
• multiposition measuring devices
• measurement systems for statistical recording
of measurements
• measurement systems for electrical measurands
1.5 GUM and ISO 14253-1
These guidelines are the “Guide to the Expression
of Uncertainty in Measurement” (GUM)
and “Decision rules for proving conformance or
non-conformance with specifications”.
In dem vorliegenden Leitfaden sind weitere
Begriffe verwendet, die zur besseren Übersicht
im folgenden kurz erläutert werden. Diese sind
den Literaturstellen [10] bzw. [3] entnommen
und zum Teil umgangssprachlich ergänzt.
2.1 Messabweichung
2.1.1 Systematische Messabweichung
Unter systematischer Messabweichung wird die
Abweichung zwischen dem Mittelwert der
Anzeige des Messsystems bei wiederholtem
Messen des gleichen Merkmals und dem Referenzwert
des Merkmals verstanden. Das zu
messende Teil ist ein Normal (Referenzwert),
dessen Wert mit PräzisionsMesssystemen, z.B.
KoordinatenMessgeräten ermittelt wird und das
auf ein nationales oder internationales Normal
zurückführbar sein muß. Ein Referenzwert
kann bestimmt werden, indem mehrere Messungen
mit einem höherwertigen Messgerät
durchgeführt werden (z.B. Messraum oder Kalibrierlabor).
2 Definitions
The following concepts are defined in DIN EN
ISO 10012:
• measuring equipment
• measurement
• measurand
• influence quantity
• accuracy of measurement
• uncertainty of measurement
• correction
• adjustment
• specified measuring range
• resolution (of an indicating device)
• drift
• limits of permissible error
• reference material
• international (measurement) standard
• national (measurement) standard
• traceability
• calibration
• (quality) audit
Further definitions are used also in the present
reference manual, a short description is found
below for better overview. These may be found
in literature [10] and [3] and are partially supplemented
to colloquial speech.
2.1 Measurement Error
2.1.1 Systematic Error of Measurement
Also called bias, this is the difference between
the observed average of measurements and
the reference value. The part to be measured
is a measurement standard or master, whose
value (reference value) has been determined
with precision measurement systems, e.g. coordinate
measurement devices, and which can
be traced back to a national or international
measurement standard. A reference value can
be established by carrying out several measurements
with a higher-level measurement device
(e.g. metrology lab or calibration lab).
3 Geltungsbereich
Die im Leitfaden enthaltenen Verfahren eignen
sich nur für messende Einrichtungen. Diese
werden in Standardmessverfahren bzw. in Sonderfälle
eingeteilt. Der vorliegende Leitfaden
beschreibt nur die Beurteilungen für die Standardverfahren.
In einem separaten Dokuments
sind für verschiedene Sonderfälle Beispiele
enthalten.
Dieser Leitfaden ist gültig beim Neukauf und
Einsatz sowie der Bewertung vorhandener
Messsysteme. Eventuell bestehende Gesetze
und Verordnungen in den jeweiligen Ländern
haben uneingeschränkt Vorrang.
Der Leitfaden erstreckt sich auf die Annahmeprüfung
und laufende Überwachung aller Messsysteme
in den Werken, sowie die Annahmeprüfung
bei den Herstellern der Messsysteme.
Eine Annahmeprüfung muß vor Inbetriebnahme
der Messsysteme durchgeführt werden, nach
Neuaufstellungen, Generalüberholungen,
wesentlichen konstruktiven Änderungen und
Umstellungen. Diese Annahmeprüfungen
sollten vor der Beurteilung von Maschinen- und
Prozeßfähigkeit durchgeführt werden.
3 Scope
The procedures presented in this reference
manual are applicable only to measuring systems.
These may be separated into standard
measurement procedures or special cases. The
present reference manual begins by describing
only the evaluations for standard measurement
procedures. Examples of various special cases
are available in a separate document.
This reference manual applies to the procurement
and use of new, as well as the evaluation
of existing measurement systems. Any existing
laws and regulations of the home country of the
concerned plant take unrestricted precedence.
The reference manual covers the acceptance
and ongoing control of all variable-type part
measurement systems in production plants, as
well as the acceptance at the manufacturer. An
acceptance test must be carried out prior to putting
measurement systems into operation, and
again after relocation, a general overhaul or any
major design changes or conversions. These
acceptance tests should be carried out before
the machine and process capability study.
4 Verfahren für den
Fähigkeitsnachweis
Für den Fähigkeitsnachweis von Messsystemen
haben sich verschiedene Methoden als sinnvoll
herausgestellt. Je nach Verfahren können die
verschiedenen Unsicherheitskomponenten ermittelt
4 Procedures for a Capability
Study
Various methods have been found to be suitable
for establishing the capability of measurement
systems. Depending on the procedure,
different uncertainty factors may be determined.
4.1.1 Measurement System Resolution
Before one of the studies mentioned can be
carried out, the resolution of the measurement
system should be checked.
The measurement system must have a resolution
of %RE ≤ 5% of the characteristic’s
specified tolerance, in order to be able to reliably
determine and observe measurement values.
Example:
Specified dimension = 125.00 ± 0.25 mm
In this case of a specified tolerance of 0.5 mm,
5% is equivalent to 0.025 mm. This means that
the measurement system should have a resolution
of 0.025 mm or better over the total measuring
range. A precision gage with a scale
graduation of 0.01 mm is selected.
4.1.2 Type-1 Study
This type of study is usually carried out at the
supplier’s plant to evaluate new or modified
measurement systems prior to their first use. A
capability index is calculated to determine the
suitability of the system.
4.1.3 Type-2 Study
The Type-2 study is carried out at the customer’s
plant at the system’s intended point of
use, in order to evaluate new and existing
measurement systems prior to final acceptance.
The method can also be used at the supplier’s
plant. This requires the presence of both parts
and operators at the supplier’s site. This
method is also used for routine audits or
intermediate test purposes. The assessment is
carried out under conditions which mirror the
actual conditions of use as far as possible, i.e.
at the point of use, with real measuring objects
and the actual operators who will perform the
Measurement System Capability Page 17 of 107
Die Beurteilung wird anhand des sogenannten
%R&R Kennwertes festgestellt.
4.10.4 Verfahren 3
in Transferstraßen bzw. halbautomatischen
Messsystemen (z.B.
Mittelwert-Spannweiten-Methode (ARM
Average-Range-Methode) oder über die
ANOVA-Methode (Analysis of Variance). Aufgrund
der genaueren statistischen Betrachtung
wird die Berechnungsmethode nach ANOVA
empfohlen. Allerdings ist dabei der Einsatz eines
Rechnerprogramms erforderlich.
Die Vorgehensweise zur Ermittlung der Merkmalswerte
und die Interpretation der Ergebnisse
ist bei beiden Verfahren gleich. Aufgrund der
unterschiedlichen Berechnungsmethoden (ARM
bzw.
measurements. The evaluation is based on a
statistic called %R&R.
4.1.4 Type-3 Study
The Type-3 study is a special case of the Type-
2 study. It is used for measurement systems
without appraiser influence, i.e. automated
measurement systems (e.g. post-process or inprocess
measuring equipment and automated
or mechanized gaging machines) in transfer
lines, or semi-automated measuring systems
(three-coordinate measuring equipment, cam
profile gaging equipment, and multiposition
measuring devices).
The evaluation of this measurement procedure
is likewise based on the %R&R statistic. By
analogy to the type-2 study the same abbreviation
is used, even though reproducibility equals
zero.
Note on Type-2 and Type-3 studies
The evaluation of measurement systems using
the type-2 and type-3 studies is carried out
through the so-called ARM (Average-Range-
Method) or through the ANOVA method (Analysis
of Variance). The ANOVA method is recommended,
as it is statistically more precise.
However, it does require the use of statistics
software.
The procedure for the taking of measurement
values and the interpretation of results remain
as described here for both studies. Based on
the different calculation methods (ANOVA or
ARM) the results may be different. Comparability
is thus possible only within the same procedure.
For simplicity's sake, the ARM method was
used for description of the procedures. The
ANOVA method is detailed in the appendix.
4.1.5 Linearity
This study is used to examine whether the
measurement accuracy can be considered suitable
over the entire measurement range. The
assessment of linearity can take place either at
the supplier’s site or at the final point of use
within the customer’s site. If a linearity study is
required, it should be carried out prior to or in
conjunction with the Type-1 study.
4.10.6 Messbeständigkeit / Stabilität
Bei den Fähigkeitsuntersuchungen (insbesondere
den Verfahren 1, 2 und 3) sowie der Beurteilung
der Linearität handelt es sich immer nur
um eine Momentaufnahme. Anhand von Stabilitätsuntersuchungen
ist nachzuweisen, dass die
ever represent a “snapshot” assessment. Stability
studies should be carried out to demonstrate
that the measurement systems used retain their
5 Verfahren 1
Ziel der Untersuchung
Anhand der Fähigkeitskennwerte Cg und Cgk
wird entschieden, ob eine Messeinrichtung unter
Verwendung eines Normals für den vorgesehenen
Einsatz unter Betriebsbedingungen
geeignet ist.
Voraussetzung
1. Die Messeinrichtung ist entsprechend den
Vorschriften des Herstellers einzurichten und
gebrauchsfertig zu machen.
2. Es muss ein Normal/Einstellmeister vorhanden
sein, dessen richtiger Wert durch Kalibrierung
auf nationale oder internationale Normale
rückführbar ist und sich im Laufe der
Zeit nicht verändert.
Die Messunsicherheit der übergeordneten
Messverfahren, mit denen der richtige Wert
des Normals bestimmt wird, ist anzugeben.
3. Steht aus Messtechnischen Gründen kein
Normal zur Verfügung, entfällt die Berechnung
von Cgk. In diesem Fall kann mit Hilfe eines
geeigneten Messobjektes nur die
Wiederholpräzision Cg bestimmt werden.
Hinweis:
Bei der Verwendung eines Messobjektes
kann eine größere Streuung auftreten.
5 Type-1 Study
Objective
The capability indices Cg and Cgk is used to decide
if the measurement device is capable for
its intended use under actual operating conditions,
based on measurements of a standard or
master.
Requirements
1. The measurement device must be set up
and prepared for use in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
2. A measurement standard/master must be
available whose true value is traceable to a
national or international measurement standard
through calibration and is not subject to
changes over time.
The uncertainty of measurement of the
higher-level measuring procedure used to
determine the true value of the measurement
standard must be indicated.
3. If for technical reasons related to the
measuring application no measurement
standard is available, the calculation of Cgk is
omitted. In this case only the repeatability Cg
using a suitable measuring object.
Note:
A larger variation may be caused through the
use of the measuring object.
3. Schritt
Festlegung und Auswahl eines Normals, dessen
richtiger Wert xm im Toleranzfeld des Prüfmerkmals
liegt. Die Messposition ist am Normal
zu kennzeichnen, zwangsweise zu positionieren
oder zu beschreiben.
4. Schritt
Einstellung und Abgleich, eventuell Justierung
der Messeinrichtung nach der gültigen Vorschrift.
Während der Durchführung der Messung
sind Veränderungen an der Messeinrichtung
nicht zulässig.
5. Schritt
Am Standort sind 50 (min. 20) Wiederholmessungen
einzulegen. Die Werte sind in das Auswerteblatt
(Verfahren 1) einzutragen.
Hinweis:
Die Anzahl der Wiederholungsmessungen sollte
in Abhängigkeit der Messaufgabe festgelegt
und zwischen Kunde und Lieferant abgestimmt
werden.
So kann ein Messvorgang sehr lange dauern,
so dass die Messzeit bei 50 Wiederholungen
mehrere Stunden in Anspruch nehmen würde.
Weiter zeigen Untersuchungen, dass sich die
Standardabweichungen nach 10 Wiederholungsmessungen
nicht mehr signifikant ändern.
Damit reichen in der Regel 20 Wiederholungsmessungen
aus.
6. Schritt
Berechnung des angezeigten Mittelwerts x g
und der Wiederholstandardabweichung sg der
angezeigten Werte.
Step 3
Determine and select a measurement standard
whose true value xm is within the tolerance
range of the test characteristic. Mark the measuring
position on the standard or set or describe
a fixed position.
Step 4
Set up and balance, possibly adjust the measurement
device in accordance with the appropriate
instructions. During the study, no further
adjustments of the measurement device are
permitted.
Step 5
On site, have the same appraiser carry out, at
short intervals, 50 (min. 20) repeat measurements
on the measurement standard, following
the appropriate instructions (repeatability conditions).
The measurement standard must be removed
from the device and re-inserted in the
same measuring position before each measurement.
Enter the measurement values into
the worksheet (Type-1 Study).
Note:
The number of repeat measurements should be
set depending on the measuring task and
agreed on between customer and supplier.
A measuring procedure may last a very long
time, so that the total measuring time in case of
50 repetitions would last several hours. Tests
have shown that the standard deviations do not
show significant changes after 10 repeat measurements.
For this purpose, 20 repeat measurements
are sufficient as a rule.
Step 6
Calculate the average measurement value x g
and the repeatability standard deviation sg of
the measurement values.
Step 7
Calculate Bi, the difference between the average
measurement value x g and the standard’s
true value xm:
Bi = x − x
Hinweise:
6⋅sg herangezogen. In dem vorliegenden
Leitfaden wurde der Streubereich des
Messsystems auf 4⋅sg verringert.
Begründung:
1. Insbesondere wenn die Auflösung des
Messsystems nicht wesentlich unter 5% der
Toleranz liegt, klassiert das Messverfahren
quasi die Messwerte. In diesem Fall ist als
Verteilungsmodell der Messwerte die Normalverteilung
nicht zutreffend.
2. Umfangreiche praktische Versuche haben
bestätigt, dass bei Messprozessen, sowohl
in der industriellen Fertigungsüberwachung
als auch bei Kalibrierungen in Laboratorien,
die Messwertstreuung bei Wiederholmessungen
mit einem Streubereich von ±2sg,
vollständig abgedeckt ist. Das gilt bei Annahme
einer Normalverteilung. Treten Werte
außerhalb dieses Bereichs auf, sind diese
auf eine defekte Messeinrichtung oder
auf unzulässig in die Messung mit einbezogene
Trends zurückzuführen.
Remark:
for Cgk = 1.33 => 3 ⋅ sg
+ xg
− xm
= 10%
Toleranz
Step 9
Determine the capability index Cg, which reflects
only a random error component (repeatability).
In case of bilaterally limited characteristics
the difference between Cgk and Cg therefore
indicates the scope for improvement achievable
by exact setup of the measurement device, i.e.
with a systematic error (bias) of Bi = 0.
Stability
The Type-1 study is a short-term assessment of
the measurement system which does not provide
any information on measurement stability
during use. Hence it is recommended to assess
stability in a separate study (see paragraph 9
Stability).
Why use a 4sg spread?
Earlier guidelines for calculating the capability
indices Cg or Cgk usually based this calculation
on a measurement spread of 6sg. In the present
reference manual, this measurement spread
has been reduced to 4sg.
Reasons:
1. Especially where the resolution lies trivially
below 5% of the tolerance, the measurement
values are assigned to classes by the
measurment procedure. In this case, the
normal distribution is not a suitable model
for the distribution of measurement values.
2. Large-scale studies of real-life processes
have shown that in measuring processes, in
industrial process control as well as in calibrations
in laboratories ±2sg is the true
spread of the measurement device for repeat
measurements. This is valid if a normal
distribution is assumed. If values occur outside
this region, they must be attributed to a
defect measuring device or trends improperly
included in the measurement.

6 Verfahren 2
Vorbemerkung
Beim Verfahren 2 wird der Bedienereinfluss ermittelt.
Der Bedienereinfluss ist durch die Konstruktion
der Messeinrichtung möglichst auszuschließen.
Ist ein Bedienereinfluss bei einer
Messeinrichtung gegeben, so muss dieser Einfluss
untersucht werden. Ansonsten kann Verfahren
angewendet werden. Ein Bedienereinfluss
ist nur dann ganz auszuschließen,
wenn einschließlich der Beschickung der Messeinrichtung
mit dem Messobjekt der Messprozess
automatisiert abläuft.
Ziel des Verfahrens
Anhand des Kennwertes %R&R wird beurteilt,
ob eine Messeinrichtung unter Berücksichtigung
aller Einflussgrößen für die vorgesehene Messaufgabe
geeignet ist. Zu den Einflussgrößen
gehören z.B. Verschmutzung, Erschütterung,
6 Type-2 Study
Preliminary Note
The Type-2 Study determines the appraiser influence.
Wherever possible, the measurement
device should be designed in such a way that
all appraiser influence is eliminated. However, if
a measurement device is subject to appraiser
influence, then this influence must be investigated.
In all other cases, a Type-3 Study (which
does not consider appraiser influence) may be
applied. It is only possible to exclude user influence
entirely, if the measuring process is automated
completely including loading the measuring
object into the measuring device.
Objective
The index %R&R is used to assess whether a
measurement device is suitable for the measuring
task at hand, taking into account all the influences.
As an example, among the influences
are soiling, vibration, temperature gradients
caused by time and location, operator, measuring
method, measuring procedure, nature of the
measuring object, etc..
Precondition
It is only allowed to carry out the type-2 study
Messung und Auswertung
1. Schritt
Festlegung der Anzahl von Prüfern (k ≥ 2), die
Auswahl von 10 Messobjekten (n ≥ 5), die möglichst
über den Toleranzbereich verteilt sind und
die Anzahl der Messungen pro Prüfer (r ≥ 2).
Dabei muss das Produkt k ⋅ r ⋅ n größer gleich
30 sein: k ⋅ r ⋅n
≥ 30.
Standardfall: 2 Prüfer, 10 Teile mit 2 Messreihen
pro Prüfer.
2. Schritt
Die Teile werden nummeriert. Um den Einfluss
des Messobjekts, z.B. die Teilegeometrie, auszuschließen,
wird die Messposition gekennzeichnet
oder dokumentiert. Die Umgebungsbedingungen
(z.B. Temperatur, Bediener,
Schwingungen usw.) sind zu dokumentieren.
3. Schritt
Der erste Gerätebediener stellt die Messeinrichtung
ein und ermittelt die Merkmalswerte der
Messobjekte in der durch die Nummerierung vorgegebenen
Reihenfolge und nach der gültigen
Vorschrift unter Beachtung der Messposition. Die
Messwerte werden dokumentiert. In derselben
Reihenfolge und nach derselben Verfahrensweise
ermittelt der erste Gerätebediener die
Merkmalswerte der Messobjekte ein zweites Mal.
Die Messergebnisse der zweiten Messung dürfen
von den Ergebnissen der ersten Messung
nicht beeinflusst werden. Während der Durchführung
der Untersuchung sind Veränderungen an
der Messeinrichtung nicht zulässig.
Hinweis:
Die hier empfohlene Reihenfolge für den Messablauf
kann oftmals aus praktischen Gegebenheiten
nicht eingehalten werden. Um bestimmte
Eigenschaften einer Messeinrichtung bzw. den
Drift durch Temperatureinfluss erkennen zu
können, ist es ebenfalls sinnvoll, eine andere
Reihenfolge zu wählen.
Daher empfiehlt sich, die Reihenfolge des
Messablaufs je nach Messaufgabe in Absprache
zwischen Kunde und Lieferant individuell
festzulegen und entsprechend zu dokumentieren.
Measurement and Analysis
Step 1
Determine the number of appraisers (k ≥ 2), select
10 measuring objects (n ≥ 5), which to the
extent possible should be spread across the entire
tolerance range, and determine the number
of measurements per appraiser (r ≥ 2). Note
that the product k ⋅ r ⋅ n must be greater than 30,
i.e. k ⋅ r ⋅n
≥ 30.
Standard case: 2 appraisers, 10 parts with 2
measurement series per appraiser.
Step 2
The parts are numbered. In order to eliminate
the influence of the measuring object, i.e. part
geometry, the measuring position is marked or
documented. Record the environmental conditions
(e.g. temperature, appraiser, vibrations,
etc.).
Step 3
The first appraiser sets up the measurement
device and measures the characteristics of the
measuring objects in the sequence given by the
numbering, following the appropriate instructions
and adhering to the measuring position.
The measured values are recorded. The first
appraiser measures the measuring objects a
second time in the same sequence, following
the same procedure. The results of the second
measurement run must not be affected by the
results of the first run. During the study, adjustments
of the measurement device are not permitted.
Note:
For practical reasons, it is often not possible to
observe strictly the sequence for the measuring
procedure recommended here. In order to be
able to recognize certain characteristics of a
measuring device or the drift caused by temperature
influences, it may also be sensible to
choose another sequence.
For this reason it is recommended to stipulate
and document individually the sequence of the
measuring procedure depending on the measuring
task in an agreement between customer
and supplier.
Vorbemerkung
Das Verfahren 3 ist ein Sonderfall des Verfahrens
2 und wird bei Messsystemen angewendet,
bei denen kein Bedienereinfluss vorliegt.
(z.B. mechanisierte Messeinrichtung, Prüfautomaten,
automatisches Handling usw.) bzw. der
Bedienereinfluss vernachlässigbar klein ist.
Ziel des Verfahrens
Anhand des Kennwerts %EV wird beurteilt, ob
eine Messeinrichtung unter Verwendung von
Messobjekten (z.B. Produktionsteilen) unter Betriebsbedingungen
und Berücksichtigung des
möglichen Einflusses der zu messenden Produktionsteile
(Oberflächeneinfluss, Verschmutzung,
Temperatureinfluss etc.) für die vorgesehene
Messaufgabe geeignet ist.
Voraussetzung
Das Verfahren 3 darf nur nach erfolgreichem
Nachweis der Eignung aus Verfahren 1 durchgeführt
werden.
Messung und Auswertung
1. Schritt
Auswahl von Messobjekten (n ≥ 5), die möglichst
über die Toleranz verteilt sind und Festlegung
der Anzahl Messungen pro Messobjekt (r
gleich 20 sein: n ⋅ r ≥ 20 .
Standardfall:
25 Teile mit 2 Messungen pro Messobjekt.
2. Schritt
Die Teile werden nummeriert. Um den Einfluss
des Messobjekts (z.B. der Teilegeometrie) auszuschließen,
wird die Messposition gekennzeichnet
7 Type-3 Study
Preliminary Note
The Type-3 Study constitutes a special case of
the Type-2 Study and is used for measurement
systems which are not subject to appraiser influence
(e.g. mechanized measuring device
automatic gages, automatic handling etc.) or
where the appraiser influence is negligible.
Objective
The index %EV is used to assess whether a
measurement device is suitable for the measuring
task at hand, taking into account the operating
conditions and any influences originating
from the objects (i.e. production parts) to be
measured (surface condition, soiling, effect of
temperature etc.). This assessment is based on
the measurement of production parts.
Precondition
It is only allowed to carry out the type-3 study
after successful capability proof using the type-
1 Study.
Measurement and Analysis
Step 1
Select measuring objects (n ≥ 5), which to the
extent possible should be spread across the entire
tolerance range, and determine the number
of measurements per object (r ≥ 2). Note that
the product n ⋅ r must be greater than 20, i.e.
n ⋅ r ≥ 20 .
Standard case:
25 parts with 2 measurements per object.
Step 2
The parts are numbered. In order to eliminate
the influence of the measuring object (i.e. part
geometry), the measuring position is marked or
documented. Record the sources of variation
(e.g. temperature, vibration, etc.).
Step 3
The operator sets up the measurement device
and measures the measuring objects in the sequence
given by the numbering, following the
appropriate instructions and adhering to the
measuring position. The measured values are
recorded. The operator then measures the parts
a second time in the same sequence, following
the same procedure The results of the second
Messergebnisse der zweiten Messung dürfen
von den Ergebnissen der ersten Messung nicht
nicht eingehalten werden. Um bestimmte
Eigenschaften einer Messeinrichtung bzw. den
8 Linearität / Untersuchung an
den Spezifikationsgrenzen
8.1 Vorbemerkung
Es sind folgende Situationen zu unterscheiden:
• das Messsystem enthält eine lineare Maßverkörperung.
Dies ist in Form eines Zertifikates
bzw. Überprüfung nachzuweisen.
In diesem Fall ist keine separate Linearitätsstudie
erforderlich. Die Beurteilung des
Messverfahrens nach Verfahren 1 ist ausreichend.
• Das Messsystem enthält keine lineare Maßverkörperung.
Aufgrund des vorhandenen Messverfahrens
ist bekannt, dass die Maßverkörperung
als nicht linear angesehen werden kann.
Typische Beispiele sind induktive Taster,
pneumatische Messungen etc. In diesem
Fall wird zwischen zwei Vorgehensweisen
unterschieden:
- Untersuchung an den Grenzwerten des
Toleranzbereiches (8.2)
- Linearitätsuntersuchungen (8.3 und 8.4)
Bei einer reinen Absicherung der Spezifikationsgrenzen
wird mit Hilfe eines min- und max-
Normals in der Nähe der Spezifikationsgrenzen
Verfahren 1 durchgeführt. Bei Tasterverknüpfungen
werden mindestens drei Normale empfohlen.
Bei einer Fähigkeits-/Linearitätsuntersuchung
werden folgende Situationen unterschieden:
• Ohne Normal: die Linearität wird gesondert
nachgewiesen
• Ein Normal plus weiterer Linearitäts-
nachweis
• Drei Meister min / mittel / max
• Mehr als 3 Meister: Regressions-
betrachtung
Hinweis:
festzulegen.
8 Linearity / Study near the
Specification Limits
8.1 Introduction
The following situations must be distinguished:
• The measurement system includes a linear
reference standard. This should be proved
by means of a certificate or testing.
In this case, no separate linearity study is
required. The Type-1 study alone is enough.
• The measurement system does not include
a linear reference standard.
Based on the measuring procedure used it
is known that the reference standard cannot
be considered to be linear. Typical examples
are induction probes, pneumatic measurements
etc. In this case, two procedures
are distinguished:
- study near the limits of the tolerance
range (8.2)
- linearity studies (8.3 and 8.4)
For mere safeguarding of the specification limits,
a Type-1 study is carried out close to the
specification limits using min. and max. standards.
For linked probes, at least three masters
are recommended.
In capability/linearity studies, three situations
are distinguished:
• without standard: linearity is demonstrated
separately
• one standard plus additional proof of
linearity
• three masters, min., mid., max.
• more than three masters: regression
analysis
Note:
The procedure to be used should be determined
between customer and supplier for the
actual case.
8.2 Untersuchung an den
Spezifikationsgrenzen
Vorbemerkung
Verfügt die Messeinrichtung nicht über eine
eingebaute lineare Maßverkörperung (Glasmaßstab
o. ä.), ist nachfolgende Untersuchung
zu empfehlen.
Ziel der Untersuchung
Durch die mehrmalige Anwendung von Verfahren
1 wird festgestellt, ob eine Messeinrichtung
über den gesamten Messbereich bzw. Anwendungsbereich
den Anforderungen entspricht.
Als Minimalforderung gilt die Anwendung des
Verfahrens 1. Hierzu sind zwei Normale nahe
den Spezifikationsgrenzen (Grenzwerte des Toleranzbereichs)
notwendig.
Hinweis:
Die Messung und Auswertung, sowie die Beurteilung
der Ergebnisse ist mit der in Verfahren 1
beschriebenen Vorgehensweise identisch.
8.2 Study Near the Specification
Limits
Preliminary Note
If the measurement device does not include an
in-built linear reference standard (glass scale or
similar), the following study is recommended.
Objective
To determine, by applying several Type-1 Studies
in succession, if a measurement device
meets the requirement over the whole measuring/application
range.
The minimum requirement is the application of
a Type-1. For this purpose two measurement
standards close to the specification limits
(tolerance range limits) are required.
Note:
Measurement and analysis, as well as the
evaluation of results, is identical to the procedure
described for the Type-1 study.
Toleranzbereich.
Die untere Linearitätsabweichung berechnet
sich nach
T = Toleranz
%U = Kalibrierunsicherheit im Verhältnis zur
%U ≤ 5% der Toleranz.
8.3 Linearity study using three masters
The deviation from linearity should be determined
as follows:
n measurements each are taken in the lower,
center and upper part of the tolerance range (as
a rule, n = 10), by measuring appropriate standards.
Then x gl is the average of the 10 measurements
taken at the lower end of the tolerance
range, x gu is the average of the 10 measurements
taken at the upper end of the tolerance
range, and x g is the average of the 10
measurements taken in the center of the tolerance
range. For x g it may be possible to use
the values recorded in the course of the Type-1
study.
xm, xml and xmu are the true values of the standards
in the lower, middle and upper part of the
tolerance range.
The lower linearity deviation is calculated as follows:
8.4 Beurteilung der Linearität bei
mehr als drei Normalen
Zur Berechnung der Linearität, z.B. Klassierungen,
%Li ≤ 5% RF
Messsystem ist geeignet.
5% RF < %Li ≤ 10% RF
Messsystem kann unter Berücksichtigung der
Bedeutung der Messaufgabe, der Kosten des
Messmittels, der Reparaturkosten usw. akzeptiert
werden.
%Li > 10% RF
Messsystem muss verbessert werden. Probleme
sind festzustellen und zu korrigieren.
Falls eine Linearitätsbeurteilung nicht gültig ist,
ist die größte systematische Messabweichung
(Bii) mit den oben aufgeführten Annahmebedingungen
zu vergleichen und zu beurteilen.
8.4 Linearity evaluation using more
than three masters
The Linearity analysis, i.e. classification, is conducted
on the same data acquired during the
R&R study. The true values of the five pieces
used in the R&R study must be known.
These reference values should have a spread
which approximates the tolerance spread (RF).
The formulae used for calculation of the linearity
according to [1] are grouped in the appendix.
The result is the calculated value %Li which is
used for linearity evaluation.
The following requirements apply:
%Li ≤ 5% RF
Measurement system is acceptable.
5% RF < %Li ≤ 10% RF
May be acceptable depending upon importance
of application, cost of gage, cost of repairs, etc.
%Li > 10% RF
Measurement system needs improvement.
Make every effort to identify the problems and
have them corrected.
In the case where a linearity assessment is not
valid, the largest bias (Bii) must be compared to
the above acceptance criteria and reported.
9 Messbeständigkeit / Stabilität
Bei den vorher genannten Verfahren wird immer
nur eine Kurzzeitbetrachtung vorgenommen.
Daher ist die kontinuierliche Untersuchung
der Messbeständigkeit zu empfehlen.
Für den Stabilitätsnachweis sind zunächst in
kurzen Zeitabständen Überprüfungen vorzunehmen.
Zur Ermittlung der Urwerte sind stabilisierte
Erzeugnisteile und Normale/Einstellmeister
zu verwenden. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen
ist ein Intervall festzulegen, zu dem
regelmäßig neue Überprüfungen stattfinden sollen.
Die Beurteilung der Messbeständigkeit kann auf
2 Arten vorgenommen werden:
• Es sind die Urwerte aufzuzeichnen und die
Grenzwerte situationsbezogen festzulegen.
Diese dürfen maximal ±10% der Toleranz
bezogen auf den Ist-Wert des Normals/
Werkstücks betragen.
• Die gemessenen Werte sind in Form einer
Shewhart-Qualitätsregelkarte aufzuzeichnen.
Hierbei gelten firmenspezifische Festlegungen.
Beispiel zur Messung und Auswertung
1. Schritt
Dokumentieren der Daten zu Messeinrichtung,
Normal, Merkmal, Toleranz etc.
2. Schritt
Eintragen der Grenzen der Messbeständigkeit
in die Regelkarte für Urwerte (n = 1).
Fallbeispiel:
OEG = xm 2,
576 ⋅ sg
UEG = xm − 2,
576 ⋅ sg
9 Stability
All the procedures described above represent a
short-term assessment of the measurement
system. Hence an ongoing assessment of
measurement stability is recommended.
Initially, studies to demonstrate stability should
be performed at short intervals. Production
parts and standard/setting masters must be
used for establishing the raw values. Based on
the results, an appropriate interval for routine
checks should be established.
There are two possible methods for assessing
stability:
• Individual measurements values are plotted
and limits are established based on the
specific situation at hand. These must not
exceed ±10% of the tolerance relative to the
actual value of the standard or work piece.
• The measurement values are plotted on a
Shewhart control chart, following companyspecific
control charting guidelines.
Example: Measurement and Evaluation
Step 1
Record data on the measurement device, standard,
characteristic, tolerance etc.
Step 2
Plot stability limits on the control chart for individual
values (n = 1).
mit sg aus
Example:
x + 2,
576 ⋅ s
Verfahren 1 für 99% LCL = xm − 2,
576 ⋅ sg
+ UCL = m
g
Hinweis:
Falls der Abstand der natürlichen Eingriffsgrenzen
einer Urwertkarte < 10% der Toleranz ist,
können die Eingriffsgrenzen auf 10% der
Toleranz festgelegt werden, um zu verhindern,
dass die Auflösung des Messmittels der Grund
für eine Verletzung der Eingriffsgrenze ist.
with sg from Type-1
Study for 99%
Note:
If the distance between the natural control limits
of an individuals chart < 10% of the tolerance,
one can set the control limits to 10% of the tolerance
in order to avoid spurious out-of-control
indications due merely to the resolution of the
measurement device.
3. Schritt
Prüfintervall festlegen. Bei der Untersuchung
sollte mindestens eine ganze Schicht erfasst
und beurteilt werden.
4. Schritt
Einstellen der Messeinrichtung mit Hilfe des
Normals nach der gültigen Vorschrift.
5. Schritt
Ausführung von Einzelmessungen am Normal
und/oder Werkstück in festgelegten Prüfintervallen
nach der gültigen Vorschrift. Während
der Messbeständigkeitsprüfung darf nicht nachgestellt
werden.
6. Schritt
Die Messergebnisse werden in die Urwertekarte
eingetragen.
Beurteilung und Maßnahmen bei der Messbeständigkeitsprüfung
I. Fall:
Die Messwerte liegen innerhalb der vorgegebenen
Eingriffsgrenzen: Es reicht aus, die Messeinrichtung
in festgelegten Intervallen, zum Beispiel,
jeweils am Arbeitsbeginn einzustellen.
II. Fall:
III. Fall:
Es finden Über- und Unterschreitungen der vorgegebenen
Grenzen ohne Trend statt, so dass
bei der Messeinrichtung keine stabile Phase erkennbar
ist. Das bedeutet, dass die Messeinrichtung
ungeeignet ist. Es sind Verbesserungen
einzuleiten (siehe hierzu auch Vorgehensweise
„Nicht fähige Messsysteme").
Version 2.1 D/E Stand/Status: 17. September 2002
x m
Step 3
Determine test interval. When carrying out the
test one should at least cover and evaluate one
whole shift.
Step 4
Set up the measurement device using the standard,
in accordance with the relevant instructions.
Step 5
At regular intervals corresponding to the test interval
determined, take individual measurements
of the measurement standard and/or
work piece, following the appropriate instructions.
No adjustments may be made in the
course of the stability test.
Step 6
Plot the measurement results on an individuals
control chart.
Interpretation and Actions Based on Stability
Testing
Case I:
The measured values lie within the predefined
control limits: All that need be done is to set up
the measurement device at regular intervals,
such as at the beginning of each shift.
Case II:
There are values above and/or below the predefined
control limits, due to a trend in the data:
The interval must be shortened such that the
measured values remain within the defined limits.
Case III:
There are values above and/or below the predefined
control limits, but there is no trend, only
a general and persistent lack of stability: This
means that the measurement device is not suitable.
Appropriate improvements must be initiated
(see also “Non-capable measurement systems”
procedure).

• Bediener
- Eingewiesen, geschult
- Sorgfalt, Handhabung
- Sauberkeit, (Hautreste, Handfett,...)
- Wärmeübertragung, ...
2. Schritt:
Genaueres Messsystem beschaffen
Mögliche Maßnahmen :
• Auflösung < 5%
• Lineare Systeme einsetzen
• Absolut messende Systeme bevorzugen
(digital inkremental anstatt analog induktiv)
• Robuste Messeinrichtung (Lagerungen,
Führungen, Messhebel,
Übertragungselemente,...)
• Bedienerunabhängige Messeinrichtung
• Neue (berührungslose) Messverfahren, ...
3. Schritt:
Merkmals-, Toleranz-, Prozessbetrachtung
Mögliche Maßnahmen :
• Merkmal auf Funktionsabhängigkeit überprüfen
(ggf. neues Merkmal definieren z.B.
Dichtheit anstelle Rundheit)
• 100% verlesen mit reduzierten Toleranzen
• Messsystemstreuung von Toleranz abziehen
• Auswirkungen auf Prozessregelung und
Prozessfähigkeit berücksichtigen
• Toleranz anpassen (statistische Tolerierung;
Toleranz und Prozessstreuung gegenüberstellen;
Toleranzehrlichkeit!) – Abstimmung
mit Fertigungsplanung, Produktion,
Qualitätssicherung, Entwicklung, Kunde
4. Schritt: Sonderregelung
• Zusätzliche Absicherung (z.B. Stabilitätsüberwachung,
zusätzlicher Regelkreis, genaueres
Messmittel im Feinmessraum,
Funktionsabsicherung, -überprüfung)
• Operator
- Training
- Care, handling
- Cleanliness (skin flakes, hand cream,...)
- Heat transmission, ...
2 nd Step:
Procure more accurate measurement system
Possible actions :
• Resolution < 5%
• Use linear systems
• Absolute measuring systems to be preferred
(digital/incremental rather than analog/inductive)
• Robust measuring equipment (bearings,
guide rails, measuring levers,
transmission elements,...)
• Operator-independent equipment
• New (no-contact) measuring procedures, ...
3 rd Step:
Characteristic, tolerance or process study
Possible Actions :
• Check characteristic’s relationship to function
(re-define where appropriate, e.g. tightness
instead of roundness)
• 100% inspection with reduced tolerances
• Deduct gage variation from tolerance
• Consider effects on process control and
process capability
• Adjust tolerance (statistical tolerancing;
compare tolerance and process spread;
honesty about tolerances!) – agreements
between manufacturing engineering, production,
quality assurance, product engineering,
customer
4 th Step: Special Operating Permit
• Additional safeguards (e.g. stability checks,
additional control loop, more accurate gage
in precision gage room, assurance or
checking of function)
Version 2.1 D/E Stand/Status: 17. September 2002
Fähigkeitsnachweis von Messsystemen Seite 39 von 107
Measurement System Capability Page 39 of 107
• Zeitlich befristete Sonderregelung treffen
– Abstimmung mit Messtechnikexperten,
Fertigungsplanung, Produktion, Qualitätssicherung,
Entwicklung, Kunde
• Regelung z.B. jährlich neu bewerten gemäß
Schritt 1 bis 4 und ggf. Regelung überarbeiten
bzw. für weitere Zeitspanne bestätigen
Anmerkung:
• Issue special, time-limited operating permit
– agreement with metrology experts, manufacturing
engineering, production, quality
assurance, product engineering, customer
• Re-assess decision e.g. on an annual basis,
according to steps 1 to 4, revise decision or
re-confirm for another term as appropriate
Remark:
It must be taken into regard that the measuring
system is not always the cause for a non capable
measuring process. Frequently, environment
and measuring strategy are responsible.
11 Special Cases
Not all measurement systems or situations may
be evaluated using the procedure described
here. Here are some examples:
• attribute test
• small tolerances 2
• Automatic loading
• Unilateral tolerances
• Comparison of several gages
• Without standard
• Different shape of master
• No stable standard
• Hardness testers
• Surface texture gauges
• Optical gaging
• Force measurements, spring testing (hysteresis
problems)
• Torque setting and measuring systems
• Coating thickness, eddy current testing
• Shape testers for small-scale geometries
• Laser measurement systems (naturally constant
stabilized wavelength)
• Monitoring, control of converter cards (e.g.
A/D, ...)
A separate document will provide help on how
to deal with these special cases, including recommendations
and a case study illustrating the
evaluation process.
2 "Small tolerances" is a subjective term which must be interpreted
differently depending on the measuring task. This
may possibly be the measuring of a shaft in a tolerance
range of 10µ in the production.
Die systematische Messabweichung wird
häufig als Genauigkeit bezeichnet. In der
ISO 10012 ist aber der Begriff “Genauigkeit”
als qualitativer Begriff definiert. Daher
wird in dieser Richtlinie die Differenz zwischen
dem beobachteten Mittelwert x g
und dem “wahren Wert” xm mit systematischer
Messabweichung bezeichnet.
The bias is often termed accuracy. However,
in ISO 10012 the term “Accuracy” is
defined as a qualitative term. For this reason,
the difference between the observed
average x g and the “real value” xm is
termed bias in this guideline.
1. Die Streuung von N Stichproben muss ≥
50% RF sein.
2. Der Korrelationskoeffizient R 2 muss ≥ 0.95
sein.
Falls diese beiden Bedingungen erfüllt werden,
kann anhand der Steigung der Regressionsgeraden
(a) auf die Linearität geschlossen werden.
Die dazu herangezogenen Kenngrößen berechnen
sich aus:
Li = a ⋅ RF
%Li = 100 ⋅ a%
1. Variation of N samples must be ≥ 50% RF.
2. Correlation coefficient R 2 must be ≥ 0.95.
If both these conditions are met, conclusions
may be drawn on the linearity using the slope of
the regression plot (a).
The values used for this purpose are:
Li = a ⋅ RF
%Li = 100 ⋅ a%
The result is the calculated value %Li which is
used for linearity evaluation.
P operators use a gage to measure T parts with
W repetitions each.
It is assumed that every measurement value is
composed from the total average of the measurement
values, operator influence, part influence,
the influence of interactions between operator
and part, as well as residual deviation
(gage influence), i.e.
measurement value by operator on part in repetition =
Total average + Operator influence
+ Part influence
+ Influence of (operator measures part)
+ Residual deviation.
In order to be able to evaluate the influences
separately, first of all the sum of the square deviations
over all measurement values is divided
into partial sums and from these the variances
are calculated.
For calculation:
The average of „Operator p measures part t“ over the
t k=
( X i j k - X i j• ) 2
The sum of square deviations over all measurement
values is thus ΣP + ΣT + ΣPT + ΣE.
The following variances are calculated for measurement
system analysis:
Here it is differentiated whether the influence of the
interaction is significant or not.
( F test, test value s²PT/ s²E, crit. value FfII, fI,1 - α ).
The variances are calculated accordingly from the
quotient of the sum of square deviations divided by
the corresponding degree of freedom:
Variance operator influence s²P := ΣP / f IV
Variance part influence s²T := ΣT / f III
In case of significant interaction
Variance interaction s²PT := ΣPT / f II
Variance gage influence s²E := ΣE / f I .
In case of not significant interaction
Variance ADDinteraction/gage
s²add := (ΣE+ΣPT ) / ( f I + f II ) .
13.4.2 ANOVA für Verfahren 3
Zur Beurteilung eines automatischen Messsystems
bietet sich das Modell der balancierten
einfachen Varianzanalyse mit Zufallskomponenten
an. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass sich
jeder Messwert aus: „Gesamtmittelwert + Einfluss
des Teils + Einfluss des Messmittels“ zusammensetzt.
Um nur den Einfluss des Messmittels
beurteilen zu können, ist durch geeignete
Maßnahmen der Teileeinfluss gering zu halten.
Dies kann beispielsweise durch die Markierung
der Messstellen geschehen.
Die Summe der quadratischen Abweichungen
der Wiederholungen (= Messungen pro Teil):
Für die Berechnung der Gesamtstreuung des
Messsystems %R&R wird EV ins Verhältnis zu
einer vorgegebenen Toleranz gesetzt:
EV
% R & R = % EV = ⋅100%
T
Dieser Kennwert ist mit den festgelegten Annahmekriterien
zu vergleichen. Typische Referenzgrößen
sind die Toleranz, die sechsfache
Prozessstreuung oder die Teilestreuung (= die
Streuung zwischen den verschiedenen Teilen,
PV = Part Variation). Diese kann aus der quadratischen
Abweichung zwischen den Teilen bestimmt
13.4.2 ANOVA for Type-3 Study
For the evaluation of an automatic measurement
system, the model of the balanced simple
analysis of variance with random components is
available. It is assumed that every measurement
value is composed of: “overall average +
part influence + gage influence”. In order to
evaluate gage influence only, part influence
must be kept low by means of appropriate
measures. This may be realized by marking of
the measurement positions.
The sum of the squared deviations of the repetitions
(= measurements per part):
where X i•
= average of measurements per part
i = 1, 2, ..., n = number of parts
j = 1, 2, ..., k = no. of measurements per part
This is used for calculating:
%R&R, EV is viewed relative to a given reference
figure (RF):
EV
RF
This calculated value must be compared to the
stipulated acceptance criteria. Typical reference
figures are tolerance, 6* process variation, or
part variation (= the variation between the different
parts, PV = Part Variation). This may be
determined from the squared deviation between
the parts:
