Basic OperationsYou can operate your TV using both theremote control and onset buttons.Operation with the Buttons on the TVVolume Setting• Press “ ” button to decrease volume orbutton to increase volume, so a volume level scale(slider) will be displayed on the screen.Programme Selection• Press “P/CH +” button to select the next programme or“P/CH -” button to select the previous programme.Viewing Main Menu• Press “ ” and “ ” buttons at the sametime to view main menu. In the main menu selectsub-menu using “P/CH -” or “P/CH +” buttons andenter the sub-menu using “ ” or “ ”buttons. To learn the usage of the menus, refer tothe menu system sections.AV Mode• Press the “TV/AV” button in the control panel on theTV to switch between AV modes.Operation with the Remote Control• The remote control of your TV is designed to controlall the functions of the model you selected. Thefunctions will be described in accordance with themenu system of your TV.• Functions of the menu system are described in thefollowing sections.Volume Setting• Press “V -” button to increase the volume. Press “V+” button to decrease the volume. A volume levelscale (slider) will be displayed on the screen.Programme Selection (Previous or NextProgramme)• Press “P -” button to select the previousprogramme.• Press “P +” button to select the next programme.Programme Selection (Direct Access)• Press numeric buttons on the remote control to selectprogrammes between 0 and 9. The TV will switchto the selected programme. To select programmesbetween 10 - 1000 (for IDTV) or 10-199 (foranalogue), press the numeric buttons consecutively.Press directly the programme number to reselectsingle digit programmes.Initial SettingsWhen the TV is turned on for the rst time, the menufor the language selection appears on the screen. Themessage “Welcome please select your language!”is displayed in all language options sequentially inthe OSD.By pressing the “ ” or “ ” buttons highlight the languageyou want to set and press OK button.You can get information about the menu usage bypressing “INFO” button. Press “INFO” button againto exit the help menu.After then, “First time installation” OSD will appearon the screen. By pressing “ ” or “ ” buttons, selectthe country you want to set and press OK button.Note: Country selection will not be available for UK.Press OK to continue.After then, the active antenna selection OSD appearson the screen:By pressing “ ” or “ ” buttons, set active antennamode as on or off.If an active antenna is connected to your TV, you canselect this option as On. Antenna power should be“Off” when standard antenna is used instead of theactive antenna. See “Conguration Menu” in thefollowing sections for more information.Press OK button on the remote control to continueand the following message will be displayed on thescreen:• To select the “Yes” or “No” option, highlight the itemby using “ ” or “ ” buttons and press OK button.After then, the following OSD will be displayed onthe screen:English - 58 -
