Die sichda durch ergebenden Trägerpositionenmüssen vom Anwender selbst festgelegtwerden. Zur Montage-Erleichterung derTräger empfiehlt es sich, eine Schablone zuverwenden.Das Gummi-Profil aus EPDM (88 ±5 ShoreA) wird als Meter ware geliefert und mussentsprechend der Aluminiumleisten aufLänge zugeschnitten werden.Die Endstücke in linker und rechter Ausführungsind aus einer GK-Legierung hergestellt,gelb chromatiert und schwarz pulverbeschichtet.Entsprechend den Anforderungen derFahr zeugindustrie sind die Teile für denAußen einsatz korrosionsgeschützt. DieAluminium teile sind eloxiert, die Plattenschraubeund Mutter sind verzinkt undgelb chromatiert.Als besondere Vorteile sind hervorzuheben:1. Durch die Verklebung der Träger imScheibenspalt wird die Korrosionsgefahrdurch Wegfall der Schraub -befestigung herkömmlicher Leisten minimiert.2. Adhesion is recommendedwith a suitable PUR adhesive and sealingcompound such as Betaseal fromGurrit Essex. If other PUR adhesive andsealing componds are used the final usermust check out their durability first!The profiled aluminium sections are suppliedin five metre lengths with 130 mmlong slots. Due to possible variations inthe bodywork the final user may have toshorten or abut the mouldings. The supportlocations for the backing strip resultingfrom this have to be determined by theuser. It is advisable to use a template tofacilitate the installation of the backingstrips.The EPDM rubber moulding (88 ±5 ShoreA) is supplied in bulk and is cut to lengthto match the aluminium strips.End caps are available in left and righthand versions and are made of gravity diecastaluminium alloy, yellow chromatedand powder coated in black.To meet vehicle industry requirements theparts are corrosion resistant and suitablefor external applications. The aluminiumcomponents are anodized, the captivescrews and nuts are zink-plated and yellowchromated. These special advantagesshould be emphasized:1. Engineering the backing units to bebonded in the gap body window minimizesthe hazard of body corrosion byeliminating the screw mounts in conventionalstrips.2. The height adjustment feature ensuresthat the strip will run straight along thevehicle.3.
