Distribution
Innerhalb der Absatzkette wird die Distribution
immer wichtiger. In den USA wird
der größte Teil der elektronischen Komponenten
durch Distribution verkauft.
Für den Hersteller bietet sie viele Vorteile.
Durch Distribution ist es dem Hersteller
möglich, nur ein Minimum an Lagerbestand
zu führen. Das Lager des Herstellers
wird jeweils durch den Distributor wieder
aufgefüllt. Dienstleistungen wie kundenspezifische
Verpackung, Gurtverpackung,
termingerechte Lieferungen und letztlich
Reduzierung der Lieferantenzahl sind beim
Distributor Zusatzleistungen. Der OEM
hat sich nur mit einem Lieferanten für
eine Vielzahl von Produkten zu befassen.
Distributoren sind „Puffer“ zwischen
OEMs und Lieferanten. Kein Zweifel, Distribution
wird immer mehr zu einem wesentlichen
Teil moderner Absatzpolitik.

Electronic Distribution
Electronic distribution has become an
important part of the supply chain. In the
United States, the majority of electronic
components are sold through distribution.
There are many advantages for the
manufacturer. Distribution allows the
manufacturer to carry minimum inventory.
Distributors will go into a manufacturer's
facility and replenish stock. They provide
value-added services such as kitting,
tape-and-reel, scheduled shipments, and
a reduced supplier base. The OEM has
to deal with only one supplier for a multitude
of different products.
Distributors are a buffer between the
OEM and supplier. All this adds to the
OEM's bottom line. No question, distribution
has become an integral part of
the modern sales environment.
