welcome to Portugal. The car industry is today a key sector of Portuguese economy with an annual
turnover of 4.8 thousand million Euros. Most cars and components manufactured in our country go

then the Sharan is the answer to what you are looking for. In common, the three models have the
fact that they are produced at the Volkswagen Autoeuropa factory in Palmela. It’s an excellent
example of the car industry in Portugal producing approximately 100 thousand vehicles per annum.
Volkswagen Autoeuropa has a great impact on the Portuguese economy representing 2% of
the Gross Domestic Product, but the automotive sector, which in our country already counts on a
40 year old tradition, goes far beyond this example of excellence.
The automotive sector is the second largest national exporter, representing nearly 4% of the wealth
produced in the country. Five manufacturers choose our country to produce vehicles that conquer
consumers all around the world: global brands such as Volkswagen, PSA, Mitsubishi, Isuzu
and Toyota directly employ 5126 workers, that annually produce – including cars, buses, heavy
and light goods – 170 thousand vehicles. The whole sector mobilizes approximately 200 component
companies, which export nearly 80% of its production and have a workforce of nearly 40,000
people.
High technical competence, highly competitive installation and operational costs and great
logistical infrastructures explain the success of this sector in Portugal. Well known manufacturers

with chrome free leather, mainly for steering wheels. Many other OEM’s are Couro Azul

Sarreliber wurde 2003 mit Sitz in Nordportugal als 3. Metallisierungsanlage von Sarrel gegründet,
wodurch der Geschäftsbereich von der Metallisierung auf Plastikspritzguss erweitert wurde.
Dadurch können den Kunden vielfältige Leistungen angeboten werden, angefangen vom Entwurf
der Teile (Entwicklung) bis hin zu ihrer Verpackung in Frankreich und Portugal.
Täglich gehen in den Anlagen von Sarrel und Sarreliber über 400.000 Teile in den Versand,
nachdem sie äußerst strenge visuelle und Labortests durchlaufen haben.
Surface treatment on plastic parts.
Created in 2003, located in north of Portugal, Sarreliber provided to Sarrel a 3rd plating line
and extended its activity from plating to injection of plastic parts. We thereby offer a broad
range of services to our customers, from part design (development) to its packaging in France
and Portugal.
Everyday, more than 400.000 parts are shipped, from Sarrel and Sarreliber facilities, after having
been subjected to several very strict visual and laboratory testings.

Simoldes ist ein Privatunternehmen, das 1959 in Portugal gegründet wurde.
Es ist als bekannt als der weltweit größte Formenbauer der Automobilbranche.

die Simoldes weltweit exportiert.
Simoldes liefert nicht nur ein Werkzeug, sondern garantiert die Zykluszeit und übernimmt eine

Simoldes is a privately owned company established in Portugal in 1959. It’s known as the world
biggest toolmaker dedicated to the automotive sector. Actually has 9 toolmaking companies,
