Starting from the brewery in the town centre, follow Rohrerstrasse up to the bottom<br />
station of the Rosenalmbahn gondola lift. To the right, climbing slightly, begins Trail No.<br />
2, the Krauspromenade, named after the famous singer Dr. Kraus. This shady forest<br />
path brings you to the Gerlosbergstrasse after around 45 mins., which you follow as<br />
far as the Gerlosberg Bridge, then along Gerlosstrasse back to the town.<br />

Vom Tourismusverband Zell am Ziller aus über die Gerlosstraße zum Gasthof<br />
Waldheim. Rechts über den Kreuzweg (Weg Nr. 8) vorbei an der „Lourdesgrotte“<br />
zur Wallfahrtskirche Maria Rast (erbaut 1738).<br />

Starting from the town square, follow the Gerlosstrasse to the Gasthof Waldheim.<br />
Turn right via the Stations of the Cross (Trail No. 8), past the Lourdes Grotto to<br />
the Maria Rast Pilgrimage Church (constructed in 1738, rock-fall in 1914, as a<br />
result of which there is now only one tower, while part of the chapel hangs above<br />
the precipice).<br />

Astachhof (Gerlosberg)<br />
Mit dem Regiotax bis zur Station Erlach/Almhof. Auf der kaum befahrenen<br />
Straße (großteils flach) ca. 4 km zur Jausenstation Astachhof. Unterhalb des<br />
Weges sieht man schöne alte Bergbauernhöfe, die teilweise nur mit der<br />
Materialseilbahn oder über einen Fußweg zu erreichen sind. Rücktransport ab der<br />
selben Station möglich.<br />

Take the Regiotax (departs at the train station) to the busstation „Erlach/Almhof“.<br />
Follow the asphalted road, which is hardly used and mostly flat, for about 4 km<br />
(walking time 1 hour) to the Jausenstation Astachhof (snacks). Along the way, you<br />
can see attractive old mountain farmsteads, some of which can only be reached<br />
by goods cableways or footpaths. Return from the „Erlach/Almhof“ turnoff possible<br />
on the Regiotax.<br />

Spazieren Sie den romantischen Waldweg entlang des Gerlosbaches von Gerlos nach<br />
Gmünd Richtung Hotel Kröller. Überqueren Sie dort die Straße und biegen rechts<br />
zum Hotel Almhof ab. Der einspurigen Straße am Hotel Almhof vorbei folgend, spazieren<br />
Sie gemütlich weiter bis zur Abzweigung „Seemeile“. Beim Abstieg hinunter<br />
zur Staumauer ist etwas Vorsicht geboten (gutes Schuhwerk!). Nach den kurzen<br />
Tunnelstollen, rechts den Weg entlang (neben der Hauptstraße) bis zum Gasthof<br />
