3. Summary of the significant consolidating, accounting
and evaluation principles
3.1. Basis of consolidation
The following paragraphs illustrate the basic accounting and evaluation methods used to compile this
consolidated financial statement. The approach, indication and evaluation methods were consistently
applied to the reporting period if not stated otherwise.
The present consolidated financial statement was compiled in accordance with the IFRS as applied
within the European Union. The consolidated financial statement was compiled on the basis of historic
acquisition and production costs with the exception of a re-evaluation of real estate as well as buildings
and the evaluation of financials assets at fair value through profit or loss.
The consolidated financial statement was compiled under the premise of continued operation of the
company.
3.2. Consolidation
The consolidated companies comprise of the parent company biolitec AG Jena as well as all domestic
and foreign companies in which biolitec AG has directly or indirectly majority voting rights or major
governing control due to other laws in the sense of IAS 27. Subsidiaries are incorporated into the consolidated
financial statement from the moment that biolitec AG gained control onward and excluded
when the control ends.
