Research and development costs relate to basic research as well as further development of existing
products. This comprises the research and development of substances and additional laser projects,
which the company has started among various other research initiatives.
As far as they did not meet the requirements for capitalization according to IAS 38, they were recorded
directly as expenses.
Depreciation and Amortization
Expenses concerning scheduled depreciation and amortization in the fiscal year 2009/2010 can be
found in the asset table.
Purchases
The expenses for raw materials, supplies and purchased goods and services amounted to KEUR 5,123
(previous year: KEUR 5,924).
