Storage
Your spotting scope is well protected against dirt, dust and weather
in the carrying bag (24) supplied. This also applies with caveats
to the multifunction bag (25) in which you can keep the spotting
scope for outdoor use. Please remember to put the lens protective
cap (1) on the lens (3) and the eyepiece protective cap (10) on
the eyepiece (11) after every use and especially when storing or
transporting the spotting scope. If you don‘t use the spotting scope
for a long time please remove the batteries from their compartment
(9) to prevent acid leakage.
Power supply
No power supply is required to observe using the eyepiece. However,
if you wish to use the inbuilt digital camera, LCD screen or
data output port you must first insert four batteries (1.5 V, AA / LR
06 / mignon). Make sure you have the polarity correct when inserting
them in their compartment (9). To insert batteries, open the
compartment by sliding down and raising the lid. Correct battery
polarity is given on the housing under the compartment. „+“means
the positive pole must point toward you from the compartment and
„-“ the negative away from you. Close the compartment after inserting
the batteries.
