Mechanism 1:
As Figure 2 shows, the proposed mechanism
has two intermediates and only one transition
state given by three elementary steps. Although
the intrinsic activation barrier is relatively small
(7.8 kcal mol -1 ), as Table 1 indicates, the other
energy values are higher than this barrier which
implies that the structures are undergoing major
changes because of the deep well depths
