AR Expanded
0.8 - 4.2 GHz
Solid-State
Amplifier Family
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation
has expanded its family
of S1G4 amplifier series that
cover the 0.8 - 4.2 GHz frequency
range. Two new models
have been added which offer
525 watts and 700 watts of
RF power.
M o d e l s 5 2 5 S 1 G 4 , a n d
700S1G4 are both more compact
(24U high) than our present
subampable 600S1G4Awhich
is 35U high, and more
than 40% lighter weight. The
non subampable approach
reduces extra interfaces and
output cable losses on to deliver
more output power which in
turn results in a more cost effective
approach to fill your needs.
Both models utilize state-of
-the art circuitry to minimize
distortion and improve stability.
Each model is equipped
with a Digital Control Panel
(DCP), which provides both
local and remote control of the
amplifier. The display provides
operational presentation of
Forward Power and Reflected
Power plus control status and
reports of internal amplifier
status. Special features include
a gain control and RF output
level protection.
Low Power Radio Solutions launches new
low-cost easy radio Arduino Shield
LPRS has introduced the eRA-
Arduino-S900. A ‚shield‘ or
stacked module that allows
Arduino boards to communicate
wirelessly with other eRA
module-equipped Arduino
boards or PC hosts, using proprietary
easyRadio technology
operating in the 868 – 915 MHz
ISM band. Host Arduino boards
can now easily send and receive
up to 180 Bytes of half-duplex
data per packet, seamlessly delivered
to all other hosts within
KMW2030 Amplifier
System For Tactical
Radios Receives
Additional JITC
Certification
AR Modular RF has received
JITC certification for its
KMW2030 tactical radio amplifier
system (30 MHz - 512
MHz / 125 watts) when used
with the Harris PRC-117G
tactical radio. It has been previously
certified for use with
the PRC 117F and the PSC-
5D. The KMW2030 was tested
along with its associated Low
Noise SATCOM pre-amp, the
KMW2030P. This auto-band
switching AM/FM-UHF/VHF
DAMA amplifier uniquely
fills the need for high-power
tactical communications from
ground vehicles, and can also
range. There is no need for any
complicated ‚bit balancing‘
or elaborate coding schemes.
Addressing and implementation
of wireless networking (pointto-point
and peer-to-peer) can
be handled by Arduino application
software proving providing
flexibility without sacrificing
simplicity of operation.
The LPRS eRA-Arduino-S900
provides considerably greater
range (typically 200 m) and consumes
less power than similar
be used for aircraft tactical operations.
Designed for easy operation,
the user need only select
MODE and POWER LEVEL
to operate. The „Battle Tested“
amplifier is protected against
antenna mismatch, over-temperature,
excessive current draw,
high VSWR, and DC power
mismatch.
WiFi or Bluetooth devices operating
in the overcrowded 2.4
GHz bands. Frequency, bandwidth,
power output, and data
rate can optionally be configured
to allow multiple devices to
communicate free from interference
from each other and any
other RF devices.
eRA-Arduino-S900 incorporates
an eRA900TRS wireless module
which provides simple-to-use,
out-of-the-box wireless serial
communication as a COMport.
No complex RF protocol software
is required to create an instant
bidirectional link. Measuring
just 68.5 x 50 x 10 mm the
eRA-ARDUINO-S900 Wireless
Arduino Shield is powered by
the host Arduino‘s 5 V, consuming
25/35 mA in idle/transmit.
An integral SMA antenna
connector allows for use of an
off-board antenna. Transmit
and Receive LEDs are provided
to confirm communication
operation.
Other innovative features available
on eRA modules include a
digital RSSI (Received Signal
Strength Indication), no need
for host to handle A/D measurement,
temporary channel
selection allows host to scan
other channels in real time, temperature
compensated crystalcontrolled
synthesizer for frequency
accuracy
