SPITZENLEISTUNGEN DURCH EXZELLENTE TRAININGSANLAGEN Die Bundeshauptstadt Berlin ist Sportmetropole und bedeutender Spitzensportstandortin Deutschland. Für den Leistungssport stehen in Berlin adäquate Sportstätten zur Verfügung. Das Sportforum Berlin, der Europasportpark mit dem Sportkomplex Paul- Heyse-Straße Prenzlauer Berg, der Olympiapark am Olympiastadion sowie die Wasserfahrsportanlagen in Grünau, am Hohenzollernkanal und in Tegel sind die wesentlichen Zentren für den Berliner Leistungssport. Rund 30 Sportanlagen sind, einschließlich Nebenräumlichkeiten, als Bundesstützpunkt-Sportstätten eingestuft. Zur Förderung des Nachwuchsleistungssports hat das Land in 26 olympischen Sportarten Landesleistungszentren anerkannt. 1. Alongside its original, important role supporting and promoting sports, the city also boasts a string of well-appointed sports complexes. The key venues for Berlin‘s top-class sporting events are the Sportforum Berlin, the Europasportpark in Prenzlauer Berg, the Olympiapark at the Olympic stadium and the watercraft facilities in Grünau, Tegel and on the Hohenzollernkanal. Approximately 30 complexes are classified as federal sports centres. These include auxiliary facilities such as body-building and gymnastics halls.
