The Lanfer Systemhaus is the IT service provider of the LB GmbH. During Kick-off, Peter Zimmermann, Dominik
Neumann and Peter Tiemann gave detailed insights into the world of servers, computer centres and broadband
connections.
The IT division within the LB GmbH covers
a broad spectrum. "Together with LogAgency,
LinogistiX and Lanfer Automation we form a
strong alliance in the Logata group", commercial
manager Peter Zimmermann explains as
an introduction.
A strong team
34 employees and six apprentices work for
the Lanfer Systemhaus. Dominik Neumann is
one of them. The IT clerk trainee feels comfortable
within the company and is not the
only one who does. "The average period of
employment with Lanfer Systemhaus is 8.5
years. Eleven of the current employees have
been there for more than ten years", the apprentice
says while introducing the company.
Apart from the IT clerk, Lanfer Systemhaus
also trains IT specialists for system integration
and merchants for office management.
The key competencies
The IT specialists offer their services directly
from Schlavenhorst 88a in the industrial
park Mussum. The key competencies not
only include application support, pure data
storage and office communication but also
security topics such as data protection and
IT security. "We offer everything from simple
server rental to the complete managed service.
We offer network solutions and - one
of our unique selling points - we run our
own computer centre", Zimmermann says.
Especially in times of data theft and insecure
storage locations, it is even more important
for the customer to know where the data is
"located".
Security is essential
The computer centre in Gut Baarking fulfils
the highest security standards. More than
14 IT technicians - trained and equipped
with the necessary certificates - are always
on hand for support. "And this is to be taken
literally. If problems occur, the colleagues
are contactable 24 hours a day and seven days
a week," the commercial manager explains.
The area is marked off and guarded, the waste
heat created by the servers is cooled by stateof-the-art
air conditioning - the Lanfer Systemhaus
is a comprehensive partner when it
comes to IT infrastructure. A topic every
businessman is interested in. Zimmermann:
"Apart from a modern and well looked after
computer centre, safe data transport is also
important to avoid security breaches as much
as possible". The Lanfer Systemhaus has a safe
solution for this: Using their own fibre optic
ring, this point is also safeguarded.
