Dutch Yacht builders Aquanaut have
adapted their European Voyager 1500 with
design considerations for wheel chair users
and their special needs.
The “Stichting Aangepaste Watersport Friesland”
have achieved their goal of bringing pleasure-boating
to disabled people.
The ACCESS allows disabled guests and their
families and friends to travel on the Northern Dutch
inland waterways, with exception of Ijesselmeer, in
Friesland, Drenthe, Groningen and Overijssel.
Fitted with an DE-Drive system the ACCESS allows
peacefull cruising and eases manuvouer.
The spacious design in both the galley / cabin and
living quarters allow for better movement within the
vessel. Both floors are connected by a wheel chair
lift. The bathroom was also redesigned accordingly.
An electrical platform lift makes the trip ashore.
