“Something always remains!”
Juergen, 42, from Berlin was drugged and
subsequently robbed, right in the middle of
the gay scene. The gay scene is a popular “hunting
ground” for criminals. They assume that gay
people are easy prey.
“I felt so safe.”
“It was a lovely relaxed summer evening in
Berlin. I was out at a gay party at the Metropol.
At around 4:00 in the morning at the bar, I spotted
someone who was just my type; dark hair
and beautiful eyes. He invited me to a glass of
sparkling wine and I though “bingo!!!”. At some
point I needed to go to the toilet. After that I had
a complete blackout. I only vaguely remember
that I must have left the establishment. The next
morning I woke up in hospital. A very good
lesbian police woman friend of mine happened
to be on duty that night and found me lying on
the pavement on Golzstrasse covered in blood.
She then took me to the hospital and stayed at
my bedside. That was a good feeling.”
„I just don’t know what happened.“
“All my money and papers had gone and I had
sustained cuts and bruises to my whole body.
I have no idea where I got them from; thank God
I hadn’t broken any bones. I was released from
hospital the very same day. When I got home
I locked myself in my flat. The way that I looked
I didn’t want to be seen on the streets. I continued
to work as I was self-employed but I
didn’t go out for weeks and when I did I avoided
the Nollendorfplatz area. I had always felt so safe
there before. Of course I reported the incident to
the authorities and also to MANEO. I can still see
the guy’s face in front of me and I would recognise
him again. But what would it achieve,
I cannot prove anything.”
“I still have nightmares.”
”It has now been about two to three years since
the attack happened, but sometimes I still wake
up in the middle of the night. I dream that I stagger
down the street and run into a car. My life
goes on and I don’t feel limited in any way, but
I have become more cautious. I even take my
beer to the toilet with me. After two weeks my
cuts and bruises had disappeared, but mentally
the wound will never quite heal.“
« Une agression laisse
toujours des séquelles ! »
Beaux yeux, belle gueule.
« Mon argent, mes papiers avaient disparu. Mon
D’abord, je me
suis enfermé chez moi. Vu mon état, je ne voulais
pas qu’on me voit. Puis j’ai retravaillé. A l’époque,
Je me souviens
encore du visage de mon agresseur comme
s’il était en face de moi. Je pourrais le reconnaître
immédiatement. Mais à quoi bon ? Je n’ai aucune
preuve que c’est lui qui m’a fait ça ... »
« J’en fais encore aujourd’hui des
cauchemars. »
„Zawsze coś pozostaje!”
Jürgen, lat 42, z Berlina, został odurzony środkami
narkotycznymi, wrzuconymi mu przez kogoś
do drinka, a następnie okradziony – w samym
w Berlinie. W Metropolu [była dyskoteka przy
Nollendorfplatz] odbywały się wówczas jeszcze
imprezy gejowskie. Później, o czwartej nad
ranem, przy barze, dokładnie mój typ. Ciemne
włosy, ładne oczy. Zaprosił mnie na szampana,
ekstra. Jakiś czas później musiałem pójść do toalety
Glotzstrasse. Byłem zakrwawiony, więc zabrała
mnie do szpitala. Została ze mną, co bardzo mi
pomogło.“
„Po prostu nie wiem, co się stało.“
„Moje pieniądze i dokumenty zniknęły, a na
całym ciele miałem siniaki i rany – nie wiem
zupełnie, jak do tego doszło. Dzięki Bogu nic nie
było złamane
i mogłem opuścić szpital tego samego dnia.
Później zamknąłem się szczelnie w domu, nie
chciałem w takim stanie wychodzić na ulicę.
Pracowałem wówczas na własny rachunek, więc
zacząłem znowu coś robić. Jednak z domu nie
wychodziłem tygodniami, a już szczególnie nie
wokół Nollendorfplatz. Czułem się tam naprawdę
bezpiecznie – nie byłem przecież w byle spelunie,
tylko na normalnej imprezie. Oczywiście zawiadomiłem
policję i poinformowałem MANEO. Do dziś
gdy idę do toalety. Z wyglądu wróciłem do siebie
po dwóch tygodniach. Ale zawsze coś pozostaje.“
„Irgendetwas bleibt immer!“
in Berlin. Ich war unterwegs, damals gab es im
Metropol noch Gay-Parties. Ja, und dann morgens um
vier an der Bar: Genau mein Beuteraster. Dunkle Haare,
Aufgewacht
bin ich dann morgens im Krankenhaus. Eine mir gut bekannte
lesbische Polizistin hatte mich auf dem Gehweg
in der Goltzstraße gefunden, blutüberströmt, und ins
Krankenhaus gebracht. Sie war bei mir geblieben, das
war ein gutes Gefühl.“
„Ich weiß einfach nicht,
was passiert ist.“
