der Ihnen vorliegende Metallbaukatalog wurde von 

uns komplett überarbeitet und soll umfassend über 

unser Lieferprogramm für den Metallbau 

informieren. 

Einen Schwerpunkt nimmt unser neues Anti-Panik- 

Programm ein und hier wiederum die 

Produktlösungen für die neuen in Europa einheitlichen 

Fluchtwegnormen DIN EN 179 und 

DIN EN 1125. 

Übersichtliche Wegweiser ermöglichen es die entsprechenden 

Produkte, die nach den beiden 

vorgenannten Normen sortiert wurden, schnell zu 

finden. Dadurch ist es Ihnen möglich individuelle 

Lösungen einfach zu konfigurieren.

Eine besondere Aufgabenstellung dieser Normen 

ist die gemeinsame Prüfung von Schloss, 

Beschlag und Zubehör bei den zugelassenen 

Prüfstellen und die damit verbundene Zulassung 

und CE-Zertifizierung.

Beschreibung der Fluchttürfunktionen: 

Funktion B 

Umschaltfunktion 

Verwendung: 

Für Türsysteme, die zeitweise einen Durchgang 

von innen und außen sicherstellen müssen und 

zusätzlich von außen zeitweise nicht begehbar 

sein dürfen. Grundsätzlich ist eine Öffnung der 

Tür von der Gefahrenseite immer möglich. 

(Fluchttürfunktion) 

Funktion Gefahrenseite 

(bei vorgeschlossenem Riegel) 

Die Tür hat auf der Gefahrenseite einen 

Türdrücker bzw. Stangengriff. Durch 

Drückerbetätigung bzw. Stangengriffbetätigung 

werden die Falle und der vorgeschlossene Riegel 

zurückgezogen. Die Tür kann geöffnet werden. 

Funktion Außenseite 

(bei vorgeschlossenem Riegel) 

Die Tür hat auf der Außenseite einen Drücker. 

Bei ausgeschlossenem Riegel ist die Nuss auf 

Leerlauf geschaltet. Bei eingeschlossenem 

Riegel bleibt die Nuss im Leerlauf. Erst nach 

einer Schlüsselschaltung wird die Nuss in Eingriff 

geschaltet und die Tür kann über Drücker 

geöffnet werden. Der Riegel ist grundsätzlich 

über den Schlüssel schließbar. 

Funktion E 

Wechselfunktion 

Verwendung: 

Für Türsysteme, bei denen grundsätzlich eine 

unberechtigte Öffnung von außen verhindert 

werden soll. Grundsätzlich ist eine Öffnung der 

Tür von der Gefahrenseite immer möglich. 


Funktion Gefahrenseite: 

Auf der Gefahrenseite befindet sich der 

Türdrücker bzw. Stangengriff. Der vorgeschlossene 

Riegel kann im Panikfall gleichzeitig mit der 

Falle über den Türdrücker bzw. Stangengriff 

zurückgezogen werden. Im entriegelten Zustand 

kann die Falle mit dem Türdrücker, Stangengriff 

oder dem Schlüssel zurückgezogen werden. Mit 

dem Schlüssel kann das Schloss verriegelt und 

entriegelt werden.

Auf der Außenseite befindet sich ein feststehender

The internal side of the door (emergency exit side) is 

equipped with a lever or panic bar. Activation of the 

lever or panic bar causes the latch and the locked bolt 

to retract. The door can now be opened. 

External aspect with security bolt in the locked 

position 

The external side of the door is equipped with a lever. 

When the bolt is engaged the follower is in non-operational 

mode. When the bolt is retracted the follower 

remains in the non-operational mode. The follower is 

switched to operational mode only after the key has 

been operated. The door can now be opened using the 

lever. The security bolt can always be locked using the 

key.

dieser Funktion muß zur Verhinderung des Öffnens der 

Tür von außen in jedem Fall wieder eine Verriegelung 

mit dem Schlüssel erfolgen. Grundsätzlich ist eine 

Öffnung der Tür von der Gefahrenseite immer möglich.

Funktion: 

Das Schaltschloss wird in den oberen Bereich des 

Standflügels eingebaut. Nach Entriegelung des Standflügels 

werden die Treibriegelstangen selbsttätig arretiert. Durch 

die Feststellung wird verhindert, dass die Treibriegelstangen 

während der Offenstellung des Standflügels ausfahren. 

Somit kann eine Beschädigung des Bodenbelages, sowie 

eine Behinderung beim Verschließen des Standflügels, ausgeschlossen 

werden. Der Standflügel muss erst wieder in 

die Verschlusslage gebracht werden, bevor durch den 

Schließvorgang die Falle des Schaltschlosses auf die 

Türzarge trifft und in das Schaltschloss gedrückt wird. Die 

Treibriegelstangen werden dadurch aus der Feststellung 

gelöst.

Function: 

The switching lock is fitted to the upper part of the inactive 

leaf. After the inactive leaf has been unlocked the shoot 

bolts are locked into position automatically, thus preventing 

them from extending during the opening movement or in the 

open position, damaging floor coverings or causing an 

obstruction while the active is being locked. The inactive leaf 

has to be returned to the closed position before the latch of 

the switching lock meets the architrave and is pushed into 

the switching lock. Only then are the shoot bolts released.

Gemäß der im „Produkthaftungsgesetz“ definierten 

Haftung des Herstellers für seine Produkte 

sind die nachfolgenden Informationen über 

Schlösser zu beachten. 

Die Nichtbeachtung entbindet uns von unserer 

Haftungspflicht. 

1.Produktinformation und 

bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung 

Ein Schloss hat meist die Aufgabe, eine Tür zu 

verschließen und sie zu versperren. Manche einfache 

Schlosskonstruktionen dienen nur zum 

Verschließen – auch Verschlüsse genannt. Unter 

Verschließen versteht man das 

Geschlossenhalten einer Tür derart, dass sie 

durch Zug und Druck nicht geöffnet werden kann, 

andererseits auf einfache Art und Weise, etwa 

durch Drückerbetätigung, zu öffnen ist. 

Unter Versperren versteht man das Sichern der 

geschlossenen Tür durch einen aus dem 

Türschloss ausgeschobenen, ungefederten, starrren 

Riegel, der in den entsprechenden 

Ausnehmungen der Zarge bzw. der Schließblechöffnung 

greift. 

Der Riegel muß in der Endlage feststellbar sein, 

ferner muß das Öffnen der Türe ohne passenden 

Schlüssel wirksam erschwert sein. 

Zum Verschließen dient die Falle. 

Das Versperren übernimmt der Riegel. Mit dem 

Getriebe wird der Riegel verschoben. Das 

Gesperre (Zuhaltung mit Verankerung) übernimmt 

das Festhalten in einer bestimmten Lage. 

Versperrt werden darf nur in vorher bereits 

geschlossenem Zustand (gilt auch für 

Hakenfallen, Zirkelriegel). 

Zylinderbefestigungsschrauben sind auf 

Dornmaßlänge abzustimmen oder anzupassen. 

Ein Einsteckschloss ist ein Schloss, das in eine 

vorhandene Ausnehmung (Schlosstasche) im 

Türblatt eingesteckt und verschraubt wird und in 

der Regel Drehflügeltüren als Basis hat. 

Zur Sicherstellung des bestimmungsgemäßen 

Gebrauchs gilt auch die richtige Kombination mit 

zulässigen Beschlägen und Schließmitteln 

(z. B. Schlüssel, Zylinder) sowie Zubehör 

(z. B. Schließblech) bei der Montage nach 

Einbauanweisung bzw. nach abgestimmten 

DIN-Normen unter Einbeziehung der Wartung. 

Schlösser für Türen mit Sonderfunktionen sind 

entsprechend den Bestimmungen auszuwählen 

und gegebenenfalls zusätzlich zu kennzeichnen. 

Bei Panikschlössern in Türen für Flucht- und 

Rettungswege darf die Drückerbetätigung nicht 

gleichzeitig mit dem Versperren oder Entsperren 

erfolgen, diese Schlösser sind in der Notfunktion 

für die geringe Betätigungsfrequenz im Notfall

the following information concerning locks has to 

be observed. 

Non-observance of these instructions relieves us 

of our liability. 

1. Product information and application in 

accordance with regulations 

A lock usually has the function of keeping a door 

shut and bolting it. Some simple lock constructions 

only have the function of keeping doors shut, i. e. 

they prevent the door from opening on the impact 

of pulling or pushing, it can, however, be opened 

easily by means of a simple mechanism, e. g. a 

handle. 

Bolting means securing a closed door by means of 

a dead bolt sliding out of the lock, which catches in 

the corresponding receses of the frame or the striking-plate. 

It must be possible to fix the bolt in its final position. 

Additionally there must be an effective way of 

making it difficult to open the door without the matching 

key. 

Shutting is effected by means of the latch bolt. 

The dead bolt, which is moved by a transmission, 

bars the door. The locking device (hold with bracing) 

has the function of fixing the bolt in a certain 

position. Only closed doors may be bolted (this 

also applies to hook spring bolts and compass 

bolts). 

Cylinder fastening screws have to be sleected or 

adjusted to the backset length. 

A mortice lock is a lock shich is plugged and fastened 

into an existing recess in the door and which 

is normally used in leaf doors. 

In order to ensure an application in accordance 

with the regulations the requirements concerning 

the right combination of designated fittings and 

closing devices (e. g. keys and cylinders) as well 

as accessories (e. g. striking-plates) for the 

assembly according to fitting instructions or the 

appropriate DIN standards including maintenance 

have to be complied with. Locks for doors with 

special functions have to be selected according to 

the relevant regulations and, if required, additionally 

marked. 

In case of panic doors in escape and rescue routes 

operating the handel and locking or unlocking 

must not be effected at the same time. These 

locks have been designed for the low frequency of 

use in the exceptional case of emergency only. 

The normal intentional locking (i. e. one or two 

turns of the key) or unlocking respectively must not 

be replaced by the permanent use of the emer-

(d. h. 1- oder 2tourig durch Schlüsseldrehung) 

bzw. Entsperrung darf nicht durch 

Dauerbetätigung der Notfunktion ersetzt werden. 

Schließzylilnder können nur dann vorbehaltlos 

in Schlösser eingebaut werden, wenn 

diese Schließzylinder einer Maßnorm 

(DIN 18252) unterliegen und solche Schlösser 

ausdrücklich für Schließzylinder nach dieser Norm 

vorgerichtet sind. 

Grundsätzlich sollten Zylinder derart eingebaut 

werden, daß der Schließbart von der 

Schlossstulpe weg zeigt, es sei denn, die 

Rechts-/Linksstellung des Schließbartes hat 

keinen Einfluss auf die Wechselstellung im 

Schloss. 

In allen anderen Fällen muß sich der Hersteller, 

Händler, Verarbeiter oder Verbraucher solcher 

Schlösser Gewissheit verschaffen, dass der von 

ihm ausgewählte Schließzylinder für den Einbau 

und für die vorgesehene Verwendung geeignet ist. 

Zwingende Rechtsvorschriften müssen beachtet 

werden. 

Beispielsweise dürfen in Panikschlössern keine 

Schließzylinder mit Knauf, Drehknopf oder einem 

ähnlichen Griffteil eingebaut werden. 

Allgemeine Begriffe, soweit diese nicht in 

Katalogteilen und Bildern erläutert werden, sind in 

DIN 18 250, DIN 18 251, DIN 18 252, DIN EN 179, 

DIN EN 1125 und den Beschlagnormen definiert. 

Abweichungen von der Norm sind bei der 

Bestellung anzugeben. 

2. Fehlgebrauch 

Ein Fehlgebrauch – also die nicht bestimmungsgemäße 

Produktnutzung – von 

Schlössern liegt beispielsweise vor, wenn 

–durch das Einbringen von fremden und oder 

nicht bestimmungsgemäßen Gegenständen in 

das Schloss oder in das Schließblech der einwandfreie 

Gebrauch verhindert wird 

–ein Ein- oder Angriff an dem Schloss oder 

Schließblech vorgenommen wird, welcher eine 

Veränderung des Aufbaus, der Wirkungsweise 

oder der Funktion zur Folge hat 

–zum Offenhalten der Tür der ausgeschlossene 

Schließriegel bestimmungswidrig benutzt wird 

–die Verschlusselemente funktionshindernd 

montiert oder nachbehandelt werden, z. B. über 

lackieren 

–nicht bestimmungsgemäße, über die normale 

Handkraft hinausgehende Lasten auf die 

Drückerverbindung gebracht werden

Locking cylinders can be installed into locks only if 

thoe locking cylinders are made to a dimensional 

standard (DIN 18252) and if those locks have 

been prepared especially according to this 

standard. 

Generally the cylinder ought to be fitted in such a 

way that the bolt toe points into the opposite direction 

of the forend with the exception of the left-right 

position of the toe having no impact on the key 

action in the lock. 

In all other cases the manufacturer, dealer, installler 

or user of such locks has to make sure that the 

locking cylinder he has selected is suitable for 

installation and for its designated purpose. 

Binding legal regulations have to be taken into 

consideration. For example panic locks must not 

be fitted with locking cylinders with knobs, turning 

knobs or similar handles. 

General terms not illustrated in catalogue chapters 

and pictures are defined in DIN 18 1250, DIN 18 

251, DIN 18 252 and the standard covering fitttings. 

When placing orders deviations from the standard 

have to be indicated. 

2. Misuse 

The following examples have to be considered as 

incorrect usage, i. e. usage of a product in any 

other than its designated way: 

–the insertion of inappropriate objects or objects 

which do not conform with the relevant regulations 

into th lock or the striking-plate, so that a 

smooths functioning of the lock is prevented; 

–an alteration of a lock or strikingplate which 

changes its design operating mode or function; 

–contrary to instructions the dead bolt is used to 

keep a door open; 

–the locking components are fitted or treated in 

away which interferes with their normal 

functioning; 

–the handle connection is exposed to force 

exceeding normal hand strength; 

–unsiutable locking devices are used which e. g. 

deviate in dimensions or are wrongly adjusted: 

–readjustment of the hinges or lowering the door 

results in an extension or reduction of the 

required door gap; 

–a two-winged door contrary to its design is 

opened by unfastening the resting wing; 

–to grasp between door leaf and door framing 

while closing the door;

Teile (Schlösser, Anti-Panik- 

Gegenkästen, Zubehör etc.) erfolgt. 

3. Produktleistungen 

Sofern die Produktleistungen nicht in unseren 

Katalogen, Prospekten, Leistungsbeschreibungen 

etc. konkret festgelegt sind, müssen die 

Anforderungen an den einzelnen Schlössern mit 

uns vereinbart werden. 

Richtungweisend hierbei ist die Norm DIN 18 250, 

DIN 18 251, DIN 18 252, DIN EN 1303, DIN EN 179, 

DIN EN 1125, DIN 18 257, DIN 18 258 und die 

vorliegende Beschlagnorm. 

In diesen Normen sind die Grundanforderungen 

und die Zusatzanforderungen an Schlösser festgelegt. 

Der Inhalt der Norm kann sinngemäß auch 

auf andere Schlösser angewendet werden. 

Die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von Schlössern ist u. a. 

abhängig von Betätigungshäufigkeit, Betätigungsweise, 

Umgebungseinflüssen und Pflege. 

Schließzylinder und Schlüssel sind zu ersetzen, 

sobald trotz ordnungsgemäßer Schmierung 

Störungen insbesondere beim Einstecken oder 

beim Herausziehen des Schlüssels auftreten. 

4. Produktwartung 

Schlösser sind mindestens einmal jährlich – je 

nach Beanspruchung auch öfter – mit geeignetem 

Schmiermittel zu schmieren. 

Ein ordnungsgemäßer Sitz von z. B. Zylinder, 

Beschlag und Schließblech ist in diesem 

Zusammenhang zu überprüfen und sicher zu 

stellen. 

Es sollten nur solche Reinigungsmittel verwendet 

werden, die keine korrosionsfördernden 

Bestandteile enthalten.

3. Product performance 

As long as product performance is not described in 

detail in our catalogues, leaflets or descriptions of 

performance, special requirements for individual 

locks should be mutually agreed on. 

In this respect DIN 18 250, DIN 18 251, DIN 18 252, 

DIN EN 1303, DIN EN 179, DIN EN 1125, 

DIN 18 257 and DIN 18 258 as well as the 

available standards concerning fittings serve as 

guide lines. This standard determines basic and 

additional requirements for locks. Contents of the 

quoted standards are also applicable to other 

locks. 

The serviceability of locking cylinders depends, 

amongst other things, on frequency of use, 

method of use, environmental influences and 

maintenance. 

Locking cylinder and key should be replaces as 

soon as difficulties arise, particularly when inserting 

or extracting the key even if the lock has been 

greased according to instructions. 

4. Product maintenance 

Locks should be greased at least once per year – 

or more frequently, depending on frequency of 

use, with the lubricant recommended by us. 

On this occasion also the correct positioning and 

tightness e. g. of cylinder, striking-plate and fitting 

have to be checked and, if necessary, adjusted. 

Only use cleaning agents which contain no 

corrosion stimulating elements.

obligation according to the product liability act,
