Our cover feature is devoted to the “adamas” – the most noble and unyielding of all precious stones. This leads us to the legendary Duke and Duchess of Windsor and their almost 40 years of mutual passion for Cartier and the fine art of jewellery. We also turn our attention to an accessory imbued with symbols: the glove. In recent times the glove has assumed the role of an indispensable accompaniment for the fashion conscious, yet in the Middle Ages gloves played a major role in acts of signing: treaties were regarded as signed and sealed after a glove had been handed over. In line with the spirit of the season, we have not overlooked the world of fur, where fashion designers are offering a sheer inexhaustible wealth of inspiration. In this spirit too, we wish you a year 2012 brimming with inspiration and enjoyment.

„... refined modernity and purity of lines“<br />
Fontana Couture’s spring summer <strong>2012</strong> pre collection stems into seventy<br />
pieces that represent its entire mood. Inspired by the sober and refined<br />
elegance the‘ 60s, it binds a great modernity to that decade’s bon-ton.<br />
The exclusive accessory and leitmotif of Fontana Couture S/S ’12 collection is<br />
the new, personalized and custom hook that donates modernity to the entire<br />
collection.<br />
There are two parallel themes.<br />
The first, using optical effect prints plays on black and white graphics, uses prints<br />
optical effect prints the: lines that seem to intertwine, sometimes mixed with<br />
polka dots. Not classic polka dots though, but one that gives a three-dimensional<br />
effect as by printed overlapping layers of chiffon, all played on light and shade.<br />
last season’s icon Fontana couture’s trench, for next spring will be in black and<br />
white polka dots: intended to reconfirm itself as a best seller.<br />

Another theme of the collection chooses warm and natural tones: from sand to<br />
putty, mixed to orange and geranium, where the dots are renewed this time in the<br />
never seen before color schemes.<br />
And then again, the lace, macramé, valencienne, the rebrodé, always in the same<br />
natural tones of PuTTY and sand. Also used to create a tromp-l‘oeil effect in prints<br />
of the light tunics in voile. For extremely feminine items characterized (laced or<br />
flavored) by todays modern couture.
