Specifications:
Power consumption: 1000W
Voltage: 220-240V/50Hz
Capacity: 1.2L
Protection class: II
Parts of description:
Oil:
Never mix different types of oil and never
add fresh oil to used oil.
• We advise you to use frying oil. Preferably
use vegetable oil such as soy oil, peanut
oil, corn oil or sunflower oil.
• Because oil loses its favourable properties
rather quickly, you will have to change the
oil regularly (after 10-12 times).
• Always change the oil if it starts foaming
when it is heated, if it has a strong smell or
taste or if it turns dark and/or syrupy.
Using The Appliance:
Frying:
• Use only good quality oil for deep frying.
Fill the fryer with oil to a level between the
“MIN” and “MAX” indication lines on the
inside of the inner bowl to prevent either
overflowing or overheating and then close
the lid. (Fig 2)
Preparing For Use:
• Clean the frying basket and the non-stick
cooking pot with some dishwashing liquid
using a non-abrasive sponge.
• Always keep the heating element
(underneath the non-stick cooking pot)
clean and dry. Make sure there is no foreign
substance.
• Dry the unit thoroughly before using.
• Do not switch on the appliance before you
have filled it with oil, as this can damage
the appliance.
• Make sure the fryer is filled with oil to a level
between MIN and MAX indication lines.
• Plug the power cord into the power outlet
and switch it on.
• Set the temperature by turning the knob to
the desired temperature setting.
- The temperature light will come on.
- For the required temperature, refer to the
cooking instructions on the packaging of
the food to be cooked or the section on
“quantities, temperatures and frying times”
(Page18 - Fig 4).
Note: You can leave the basket in the fryer
while the fryer heats up.
• When the desired temperature is reached,
the temperature light will go off (this takes
10-15 minutes).
• Remove the basket from the fryer and put
the food to be fried in the basket. Do not
over fill the basket.
• Carefully lower the basket using the handle
into the heated oil (Fig 3). Make sure the
basket is inserted properly.
