Trunklines (<strong>SMS</strong> <strong>9941</strong> <strong>NF</strong> and <strong>SMK</strong> 99xx F)<br />
• Trunkline output 0 provides a remote voltage of 18 Volts (max. 500 mA) to supply<br />
cascaded multiswitches.<br />
The terrestrial trunkline must therefore be connected even if no terrestrial<br />
signals are distributed!<br />
• All trunklines (0...8) have to be terminated with the isolated terminations<br />
(ZFR 75 DC) supplied.<br />
• Unused inputs and taps (A...D/A...F/A...H) must be terminated for EMC conformity.<br />
Terrestrial<br />
• The terrestrial input has an adjustable attenuator (<strong>SMS</strong> types).<br />
The terrestrial amplifier is CATV-compatible (push-pull technique).<br />
• Turning the adjustable attenuator fully CCW, the terrestrial amplifier is switched<br />
off and bypassed (<strong>SMS</strong> <strong>9401</strong> / 9601 / 9801 <strong>NF</strong> only). Terrestrial distribution will<br />
then be completely passive and return-path compatible.<br />
• Aerial signals must be fed via diplexers or multiband-amplifiers (selective multibandamplifiers<br />
type MBV... / MVF... or selective FM devices as FM filter FMP 30<br />
or FM amplifier VFM.. F). It is not recommended to connect an aerial directly.<br />
