Introduction
• Tyranny: the arbitrary or oppressive use of power
• Operated in December 2001 ( conjunction with the
documentaries unit of British Broadcasting Corporation )
• The Project can be described as Original Science filmed.
• Over a period of 8 days examined the behaviour of 15 men
(who were placed hierarchy of guards and prisoners within a
purpose build enviroment)
• Reicher , Haslam & the BBC, created the environment, filmed
and broadcast
