Wir von Scheffer nehmen überall dort unsere
Vertriebsaktivitäten auf, wo es wirtschaftlich für
uns Sinn macht, auch wenn es auf der anderen
Seite der Welt ist. Daher entschieden wir uns 2010,
Australien als Verkaufsgebiet für unsere Produkte
für den Stahlhandel und die Verzinkereitechnik
dazuzunehmen. Wunderbar, dass wir damals mit
Bryan Cathcart einen der erfahrensten Verzinker
des fünften Kontinents als Technical Consultant für
uns gewinnen konnten. Jetzt, gut drei Jahre später,
können wir die erste Bilanz ziehen.
Gleich für zwei Projekte durften wir in den letzten
Monaten Aufträge entgegennehmen und abwickeln.
Es ist schön, dass es sich um ein Projekt aus der
Stahlhandelswelt und ein Projekt aus der Verzinkerwelt
handelt.
KINGFIELD GALVANIZING
In vielen Gesprächen mit Verzinkern auf dem
fünften Kontinent sind uns immer wieder Schlagwörter
wie „State of the Art“ oder „Best Practice“
entgegengekommen. So auch in Gesprächen mit
unserem neuen Kunden Kingfield Galvanizing in der
Nähe von Melbourne.
Bereits seit der Gründung im Jahre 1983 ist das
Unternehmen Kingfield Galvanizing, welches heute
zwei Verzinkereien betreibt, bekannt für eine moderne
Ausrichtung und technische Innovationen auf
dem Gebiet der Verzinkung.
Und genau aus diesen Gründen haben sich die
Inhaber dazu entschieden, in die modernste und
umweltfreundlichste Verzinkerei auf dem australischen
Kontinent zu investieren. Gerade wegen
dieses hohen Anspruchs ist es für uns ein großes
Kompliment, dass sich das Unternehmen für die
Technik aus unserem Hause entschieden hat. Die
Grundsteinlegung ist erfolgt, und 2014 werden wir
die Anlage liefern und in Betrieb nehmen.
Scheffer is an enthusiastic supplier for the international
market. The companies on the other side of
the world offer great new opportunities for the
crane manufacturer. In 2010, Scheffer therefore
decided to expand its sales activities for steel
traders and galvanization technology to Australia.
The company was lucky in hiring Bryan Cathcart,
one of the most experienced galvanizing engineers
in Australia, as a technical consultant. Three years
later, the results are already promising.
Over the last few months, the company has won
two separate contracts, one in the steel trade and
one in the galvanizing industry, which give Scheffer
the opportunity to demonstrate its capability in two
of its main business sectors.
KINGFIELD GALVANIZING
Talking to galvanizing experts in Australia, we
noted that „state-of-the-art technology“ and „best
practice“ were hot topics across the industry. These
issues were also brought up in our meetings with
representatives of Kingfield Galvanizing, our new
client based near Melbourne.
Established in 1983, Kingfield Galvanizing operates
two galvanizing plants and is well-known for its
modern equipment and technical innovations in the
field of galvanizing.
With this background, the company decided to
invest in a brand-new state-of-the-art galvanizing
plant that also sets new standards of protection of
the environment. Given these high standards, we
were particularly pleased that Kingfield Galvanizing
decided to purchase galvanizing equipment from
Scheffer. Construction is now underway and our
plant equipment will be installed and commissioned
in 2014.
ONESTEEL
Auch im Stahlhandel Down Under geht es um
Effizienz und Schnelligkeit. Um auch in Zukunft
wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben, hat sich die Firma
OneSteel als der größte nationale Stahlhändler
dazu entschieden, in die Automatisierung ihrer
Prozesse zu investieren. Als ersten Step beschloss
man, am Standort in Perth in ein vollautomatisiertes
Langgutlager der Firma Kasto in Achern,
Anbieter von Blech- und Langgutlagern,
mit 2.372 Plätzen zu investieren. Um auch im
Bereich der Ein- und Auslagerung des Materials
effizient zu sein, wurde Scheffer mit der Lieferung
zweier lastberuhigter, pendelfrei arbeitender
Magnetkrane für die Kommissionierung von
Rohren beauftragt. Diese Investition war erst der
Anfang. Wir dürfen schon jetzt gespannt sein, was
die nächsten Schritte in Richtung Automatisierung
unseres Kunden OneSteel sein werden. Eines ist
klar: Wir sind dabei.
ONESTEEL
As everywhere in the world, the steel trade down
under is focused on efficiency and fast material
handling. In order to stay competitive, OneSteel,
the largest steel merchant in Australia, decided to
automate its processes. In a first step, the company
based in Perth decided to invest in a fully automated
long bar storage system with 2,372 places
from Kasto in Achern, Germany, which specialises
storage solutions for sheet metal and bars. To
ensure efficient material handling on site, the
company ordered two load-stabilising magnetic
cranes from Scheffer for the transport of hollow
bars and tubes. This investment is however only
the beginning. We are already looking forward to
the next steps taken by OneSteel to automate its
operations even further. And we are confident that
we will be involved again.
