ARLBERG. ALTER TUNNEL – NEUER LICHTRAUM: EINE
SPEZIELLE HERAUSFORDERUNG | ARLBERG. OLD
TUNNEL – NEW CLEARANCE: A SPECIAL CHALLENGE
Im Rahmen des Auftrages „Sicherheitstechnische
Nachrüstung Arlbergtunnel“
verrichtet die Rhomberg Bahntechnik
neben der Herstellung von Flucht- und
Rettungswegen auch umfangreiche Arbeiten
an der bestehenden Tunnelausmauerung.
Diese umfassen Maßnahmen
der Standsicherheitserhöhung sowie
umfangreiche Lichtraumaufweitungsarbeiten.
Da jede Lichtraumaufweitung mit
Mauerwerksabtrag einhergeht widersprechen
sich diese zwei Anforderungen
grundsätzlich. Hinzu kommt die Aufgabenstellung,
dass die Lichtraumaufweitungsarbeiten
bei noch bestehender
Gleislage hergestellt werden müssen, bezogen
jedoch auf die später neu herzustellende
und sich in Lage und Höhe
verändernde neue Gleisachse.
While retrofitting security technology in
the Arlberg tunnel, Rhomberg Bahntechnik
is building escape routes and
safety accesses, as well as conducting
extensive works on the existing tunnel
walls. These include measures that will
increase the stability and tunnel clearance.
As every increase in clearance
implies the removal of walling, these two
requirements are opposites by nature.
Furthermore, the increase in clearance
gauge has to be performed with the existing
track in place, but in relation to the
new track axis to be realised at a later
point in time, which presents a different
height and position. >>
NEWS
Beratungsauftrag für Rhomberg am Guadarrama Tunnel in Spanien.
Rhomberg awards contract for consultancy services in the Guadarrama tunnel in Spain.
Diese Arbeitsweise hat den Vorteil, dass
nur exakt jene Tiefe des Mauerwerks
abgetragen wird, welche unbedingt erforderlich
ist. Dadurch wird die Tunnelausmauerung
nur im wirklich notwendigen
Umfang geschwächt.
Um diesen Herausforderungen gerecht
zu werden, bediente sich die von der
Rhomberg Bahntechnik geführte ARGE
einer speziellen Technik, welche aus
zwei wesentlichen Komponenten besteht:
1. Am bestehenden Gleis fahrender
Güterwagen, welcher eine justierbare
Kranbahn trägt und
2. aufgesetzt auf die Kranbahn eine
spezielle schablonengesteuerte
Profilsäge.
Das Zusammenspiel dieser zwei Komponenten
erfolgt folgendermaßen: Der
Güterwagen wird im Tunnel positioniert
und an der Kranbahn die Verschiebung
zwischen der Bestandslage und Neulage
eingestellt. Danach erfolgt mit der
schablonengesteuerten Profilsäge die
Lichtraumaufweitung. Am Arm der Säge
sind 4 Sägeblätter montiert, welche das
Mauerwerk einschneiden. Gesteuert durch
die Schablone fährt der Sägearm die
exakte Kontur des neuen Lichtraumprofils
ab. Nachlaufend werden die Stege
des Mauerwerks mit Presslufthammer abgestemmt.
In order to meet these challenges, the
ARGE group of contractors, which is led
by Rhomberg, made use of a special
technology, essentially consisting of two
components:
1. A freight wagon running on the
existing track, carrying an adjustable
crane path
2. A special template controlled profile
saw that is placed on this crane path.
The two components interact in the following
manner: The freight wagon is positioned
in the tunnel and the displacement
between the existing and new track
geometry is set on the crane path. Then,
the template controlled profile saw performs
the clearance increase. Four saw
blades cutting the walling are mounted
on the arm of the saw. Guided by the
template, the saw arm follows the exact
contour of the new clearance. In a subsequent
operation, the frames of the walling
are calked using pneumatic hammers.
This procedure presents the benefit
of removing only the strictly necessary
depth of walling. The tunnel walling is
weakened, therefore, only to the truly
necessary extent.
ERFOLGREICH UNTERWEGS AM LÖTSCHBERG-BASISTUNNEL:
TESTFAHRTEN UND „GOLDENER NAGEL“ VOLL IM PLAN |
SUCCESSFULLY ON TRACK IN THE LÖTSCHBERG BASE
TUNNEL: TEST RUNS AND A “GOLDEN NAIL“ CEREMONY ARE
ENTIRELY ON SCHEDULE
Raron statt. In den nächsten Monaten
werden anhand von mehreren tausend
Fahrten Tests an allen Anlagen wie zum
Beispiel der Fahrbahn, Fahrleitung, Licht
Basistunnel inklusive des 2.6 km langen
Tagbautunnels Engstlige in Frutigen für
die Versuchsfahrten zur Verfügung stehen.
Danach sind seitens TU ABL noch
Rückbauten und diverse kleinere Arbeiten
durchzuführen bis der gesamte
Lötschberg- Basistunnel schließlich am
31.05.2007 der Bauherrin übergeben
wird. Am 9. Dezember 2007 wird der
Lötschberg dann in den Fahrplan integriert.
base tunnel. In the old days, the joining
of the last rail was performed with a (symbolic)
golden nail, nowadays the last rail
joint is welded, but the ceremony is still
sowie Signaltechnik durchgeführt und
auf deren einwandfreie Funktionstüchtigkeit
hin überprüft.
„Goldener Nagel“ gebührend gefeiert
Parallel neben den Testfahrten wurde die
Feier des Goldenen Nagels vorbereitet.
Am 24. Juli 2006 war es dann soweit: Die
beiden letzten Gleisstücke wurden
ungefähr in der Mitte des Lötschberg-
Basistunnels miteinander verbunden.
Während früher das Zusammenführen
der Gleise mit einem (symbolischen)
goldenen Nagel erfolgte, werden heute
die letzten Schienen miteinander verschweißt.
Noch heute aber heißt das
called the Golden Nail. After a construction
and installation time of approx. 20
months with a total of 57 km of track laid,
Rhomberg Bahntechnik was able to
complete the work 3 weeks ahead of
schedule. Trains can now run through the
Lötschberg base tunnel from end to end.
Fest „Goldener Nagel“. Nach knapp 20
Monaten Bau- und Montagezeit und
57 km verlegter Fahrbahn konnte die
Rhomberg Bahntechnik die Arbeiten
rund 3 Wochen vor Termin fertig stellen.
Der Lötschberg-Basistunnel ist somit
durchgehend mit der Bahn befahrbar.
Weitere Schritte im Tunnel
Die Fahrleitungen werden in den nächsten
Monaten eingebaut. Im Oktober
2006 werden die Versuchsfahrten ab
dem Südportal sowohl in der Ost- als
auch in der Weströhre stattfinden und ab
Dezember 2006 wird dann der gesamte
As scheduled for the end of May 2006,
the general contractor ABL, under the
leadership of Rhomberg Bahntechnik AG
and Implenia Bau AG, delivered the first
section of the Lötschberg base tunnel to
the owner for putting into service and test
runs. Therefore, the general contractor
ABL has successfully met the requirements
for the first milestone “delivery for
the first partial test“. The first test run took
place in early June on a 10 km long section
in the Eastern tube, beginning at the
South gate Raron. In the months to
come, several thousand test runs will be
required to test all the systems, such as
the running track, overhead contact line,
as well as the lighting and signalling
equipment, in order to ensure that these
are fully operational.
The “Golden Nail“ ceremony was properly
celebrated
Simultaneously with the test runs, the
Golden Nail ceremony was prepared.
Finally, on 24 July 2006, the last track
sections were joined together approximately
in the middle of the Lötschberg
Further steps in the tunnel
The overhead contact wire will be installed
in the months to come. In October
2006, test runs will be carried out at
the South and West gates and from
December 2006 onwards, the entire
base tunnel including the 2.6 km long
open tunnel Engstlige in Frutigen will be
available for test runs. Once these are
completed, the general contractor ABL
will only need to perform some removal
works and various minor tasks so that the
entire Lötschberg base tunnel can be
finally delivered to the owner on 31 May
2007. On 9 December 2007 the first
scheduled trains will run through the
Lötschberg.
TRACK AUSTRALIA VERSTÄRKT SICH MIT NEUER GLEISSTOPF-
MASCHINE, NEUEM GLEISBAUTEAM UND NEUEM GRUPPEN-
GESCHÄFTSFÜHRER | TRACK AUSTRALIA MOVES FORWARD
WITH A NEW TAMPING MACHINE, A NEW TRACK CONSTRUCTION
TEAM, AND A NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR THE GROUP
Track Australia (TA), in Australien bereits
bekannt als führendes Unternehmen im
Bereich maschinelle Gleisinstandhaltung,
hat einen herausfordernden Instandhaltungsauftrag
für die Australian
Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) im Großraum
Adelaide / Süd-Australien ausgeführt.
Obwohl nur zwischen den planmäßig
fahrenden Zügen gearbeitet werden
konnte und dabei pro Einsatz das Gleis
im Durchschnitt nur 45 bis 90 Minuten
zur Verfügung stand, konnten innerhalb
von 12 Tagen 72,5 km Gleis gestopft und
gerichtet werden. Einzelne Abschnitte
wurden auch im Rahmen eines Testprogramms
der ARTC stabilisiert. Diese Leistung
war nur mit der schnellsten Gleisstopfmaschine
Australiens, der 09-3X,
möglich.
Zusätzlich zum bestehenden Maschinenpark
erhält TA im September 2006
eine weitere Gleisstopfmaschine, so
dass das Angebotsspektrum weiter ausgebaut
werden kann.
Australia Holdings Pty Ltd das erfahrene
Team rund um Rod Tippett (Geschäftsführer
von Track Australia Pty Ltd), Rob
Pitt und Mark Brown. Das TA-Team freut
sich, das komplette Lösungspaket rund
um den Bau und der Instandhaltung von
Gleisinfrastrukturen anbieten zu können
und dabei eine einzigartige Qualität,
Verlässlichkeit und Leistung für den
Kunden zu realisieren.
Track Australia (TA), which is already well
known as a track maintenance company
in Australia, finished a challenging tamping
job for the Australian Rail Track
Corporation (ARTC) in the Adelaide area
in South Australia. Although the tamping
of the track could only be performed between
scheduled trains, with track possession
times averaging only 45 to 90
minutes, it was possible to tamp and
regulate 72.5 km of track in 12 days. All
Due to the integration of TA into the
Rhomberg Bahntechnik Group, a professional
track construction team was established
and is already working on highly
complex projects. Among others, TA won
a tender for the assembly and installation
of swing nose crossovers and track work
(slab track) in the Epping-Chatswood Rail
Link in the metropolitan area of Sydney.
The project was completed in July 2006.
To support the business development of
the Australian activities, Gerfried Thuer
joined the experienced team of Rod
Tippett (MD of Track Australia Pty Ltd.),
Rob Pitt, and Mark Brown as the managing
director of Track Australia Holdings
Pty Ltd. The entire team is keen to offer a
complete construction & maintenance
solution for the Australian rail infrastructure
and to provide unique quality, reliability,
and performance for its clients.
Fact Box Track Australia:
Darüber hinaus wurde aufgrund der
Integration der Track Australia in die
Rhomberg Bahntechnik Gruppe ein
Team für den gewerblichen Gleisbau
aufgebaut, welches bereits anspruchsvolle
Projekte bearbeitet. So konnte u.a.
bereits eine Ausschreibung zur Verlegung
von Weichen in der Festen Fahrbahn
des Epping-Chatswood Tunnels im
Großraum Sydney gewonnen werden.
Die Arbeiten wurden im Juli 2006 abgeschlossen.
Zur Unterstützung der Geschäftsentwicklung
der TA-Gruppe verstärkt Gerfried
Thür als neuer Geschäftsführer der Track
straights were lined with a laser system
and various sections were stabilised as a
test programm of ARTC. This output
could only be achieved with the fastest
tamping machine operating in Australia,
the 09-3X.
In addition to the existing fleet of resurfacing
machines, TA is looking forward to
acquiring another tamping machine in
September 2006, enabling TA to widen
their scope of services.
