Die Gewinner der bachspiele 2012 bereichern das programm auf dem
markt mit ihren originellen beiträgen: Das Kinder- und Jugendkulturzentrum
o.s.K.a.r. gibt mit »curiosus vestitus baChus« augenzwinkernd
episodische, musikalische und modische einblicke in das leben
bachs, seiner Werke und seiner Zeit. Die band molllust spielt eigene
bearbeitungen zwischen Klassik und metal, u. a. von »blute nur, du
liebes herz« aus bachs matthäus-passion, »ave maria« von bach/
Gounod sowie eigenkompositionen aus dem Debütalbum »schuld«.
A top­notch three­day programme awaits all Bachfest visitors on
Leipzig’s Market Square – admission free: Bach on Air. Once again in
2013, we have succeeded in gathering a host of exceptional musicians
who will be showing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach in a whole
new light.
Fascinating new sounds and a programme created specially for the
Bachfest are what the internationally acclaimed band Aufgang, made
up of pianist duo Francesco Tristano and Rami Khalifé together with
drummer Aymeric Westrich, will be presenting. The trio plays a truly
innovative blend of classical piano, club culture and energetic
drumming. Aufgang’s musical sound covers a spectrum that ranges
from virtuoso Baroque to New Electronica, jazz and techno: Aufgang
(re­)plays Bach.
Another equally fascinating take on Bach’s keyboard music will be
Bsupplied by Simone Dinnerstein and the Absolute Ensemble led by
