INFORMATION A pellet stove is a source of heat burning biogenic wood pellets. Like a chimney stove, this type of fireplace is placed in front of or next to a chimney and connected to it by means of a special pellet flue tube. Pellet stoves differ from chimney stoves insofar as they burn nothing but wood pellets. Their fire is regulated by built-in ventilators or by motors for combustion air, convection air, and flue gasses. Pellet stoves are fully electronically controlled and monitored. Even in comparison with chimney stoves (which already burn at a high degree of efficiency), pellet stoves come out on top. All pellet stoves are equipped with an integrated room thermostat and a separate ignition system. They are easy to operate. Refueling a pellet stove is far easier than doing the same for a wood-burning stove; the same goes for storing pellets compared to storing wood. Only standardized pellets can be used as fuel for pellet stoves. We recommend pellets that have been certified in accordance with DIN Plus or Ö-Norm. These pellets are of a superior quality – regarding, among other things, the heating value, the density of the material, the bulk density, the particle matter content and the formation of ashes.
