Allgemeine Beschreibung
General Description
Our CCX 2.4 GHz system works on the ISM Band. This ‚new‘ Band
offers several advantages of which probably the most useful is that
no crystals are required because the transmitter and receiver have
to be bonded meaning that your model cannot be ‚shot down‘ by
other users on your channel. Apart from that this is a much cleaner
and interference free signal anyway. This does however mean that
you have to bond all of your receivers to your transmitter.
The 2 channel CCX Transmitter is equipped with precision controls
for both the steering and the throttle function. To operate the
transmitter 8 Mignon (AA) dry or rechargeable cells of the same
type must be fitted which must have sufficient charge in them. This
is vital to ensure that the system functions at the maximum power
output. Monitor the ‘Power LED’ closely and replace or recharge
the cells before they are fully discharged.
The transmitter is equipped with a series of useful programming
features. These features can be used to easily set the model up to
best suit your needs and to gain the best performance from your
model. The control panel is protected by a cover which can be
simply lifted up to gain access.
A DSC Port has been fitted to allow you to use a data cable (available
separately) to connect your transmitter to a PC or Laptop for
use with a simulator (not included).
Programmierung der integrierten FailSafe-Einheit
1. Funktionsbeschreibung
2. Einstellung
Lenkung
Steering
GB - Operating the model
This function is used to steer the model
and turning the steering wheel will make
the models wheels to turn in the relevant
direction. Turning the wheel to the right
will make the models wheels turn to right
when viewed from above as illustrated.
Moving the wheel to the left will cause the
wheels to turn to the left.
By operating the relevant switch (6) on
the programming panel the direction in
which the steering moves can be reversed
if required. In addition, the transmitter is
equipped with a Dual Rate function. When
this function is activated the wheels of the
model will move less relative to the movement
of the transmitters steering wheel
around the middle position. This will allow
the model to be steered with more precision
however if this function is used the total
throw will still be available for tight cornering
when the steering wheel is moved
to the end of it’s range.
Mit dieser Funktion werden die Vor- und
Rückwärtssteuerung sowie die Geschwindigkeit
gesteuert. Wenn der Steuergeber
nach hinten gezogen wird, bewegt sich das
Fahrzeug nach vorn, wie auf dem nebenstehenden
Bild dargestellt.
Wenn der Steuergeber nach vorn gedrückt
wird, wie auf dem unteren Bild dargestellt,
bremst das Fahrzeug zuerst ab und fährt
dann rückwärts. Voraussetzung für diese
Steuerung ist allerdings ein elektrisch angetriebenes
Fahrzeug, mit einem entsprechenden
Speed-Controller.
Gassteuerung
Trottle Lever
This function is used to control the models
speed both forwards and in reverse as
shown in the illustration to the left. If the
lever is pulled back towards the transmitter
grip the model will accelerate forwards.
If the lever is pushed away from the transmitter
grip the model will first brake and
then accelerate in reverse. This is providing
that the model is fitted with a Speed
Controller which supports these functions.
DE - Einlaufhinweise
Vorbemerkung:
- Motoren 2,11- 3,0 ccm (Motorenklasse 12-18)
=> Wärmewert 3- 4, Empfehlung bei 16- 20% Nitroanteil
- Motoren 3,5- 4,02ccm (Motorenklass 21-25)
=> Wärmewert 3- 5, Empfehlung bei 20- 25% Nitroanteil
- Motoren 4,57ccm (Motorenklasse 28)
=> Wärmewert 4- 6, Empfehlung bei 20- 25% Nitroanteil
ACHTUNG: Gilt nur für Glühkerzen aus dem Hause Jamara (Jamara,
Magnum, Rossi, SH) Wärmeangaben anderer Hersteller können davon
abweichen!
GB - Running in
Note:
This motor has been constructed to the closest possible tolerances however
due to the use of different materials it will still be necessary to run the motor
in to ensure maximum power and long life.
Preparing for engine set-up:
Make sure that the engine and any attachments are mounted properly and
securely. The parts such as clutch with clutch bell, tuned pipe (exhaust), tank
and pressure ports should be checked before starting the engine. Always
assemble an oiled air filter. Use fuel with max. 25% nitro methane. Always
use the same fuel for running the engine as you used for setting up the
engine. The choice of the glow plug depends on the temperatures, the fuel
type and the combustion chamber volume of the engine.
As a rough guide, please look at the following:
- Less nitro content => hot plug
- More nitro content => cold plugs
- Cold outdoor temperature => hot plug
- Warm outdoor temperature => cold plug
A classification as a rough guideline due to the combustion chamber volume
(expressed in cubic centimeters) can be made as follows:
- Motors from 2.11 to 3.0 cc (engine class 12-18)
=> Heat value 3 - 4, recommended at 16 - 20% nitro content
- Engines from 3.5 to 4.02 cc (engine Klass 21-25)
=> Heat value 3 - 5, Recommendation 20 - 25% nitro content
- 4.57 cc engines (motor class 28)
=> heat range 4 - 6, recommended at 20 - 25% nitro content
NOTE: Applies only to glow plugs from our range (Jamara, Magnum,
Rossi, SH). Other manufacturer may vary!
The exact adjustment of the ignition timing and glow plug choice has to be
determined by trying different settings.
Starting the motor for the first time:
Fill the tank with the correct fuel.
The carburettor needles are factory pre-set for normal operation.
Place your finger over the end of the tuned pipe and operate the pull starter
or startbox 3-4 times. This will draw fuel into the carburettor
and you should be able to see the fuel being drawn in if you watch the
transparent fuel tube feed to the carburettor. Connect a fully charged glow
plug power supply to the glow plug and use the pull starter or startbox
to start the motor. Be careful not to pull the pull starter out too far as this
can damage the unit. We recommend using a series of short sharp pulls as
this will normally start the motor quickly and reduces the risk of snapping
the pull start cord. Due to the way in which the fuel/ air will be distributed
within the motor’s crank case and cylinder, it is quite normal to have to
operate the pull cord or startbox several times before the motor runs. Once
the motor is running leave the glow plug battery connected for app. 1 minute
to allow the motor to reach the correct operating temperature. After
the glow plug battery has been disconnected slowly open the throttle and
ensure that the motor continues to run and increases it’s RPM.
Running-In:
The motor should be run for 2-3 tanks with the needle in the factory setup.
After every tank filling the motor must be allowed to fully cool down before
starting it again. After the 3rd tank you can use the motor with the throttle
more opens. REMEMBER, the motor must be allowed to fully cool down
between runs when running-in. This will extend the motors life, increase it’s
power and failure to run the motor in properly will invalidate the warranty!
Checking the motors temperature:
In normal use the cylinder head temperature should not exceed 120° C. If
the motor is running too hot, richen the mixture by 1/8 of a turn until the
correct temperature is achieved. For accurate monitoring of the motors’s
temperature we recommend using our Contact Less Inferred Thermometer,
Order No. 17 0133. The temperature should be measured at the glow plug.
PATENTIERTE NEUHEIT!
TEMPERATUR-GAUGE
Ablesen der Temperatur direkt am
Motor. Das Einstellen des Kraftstoffgemischs
hat direkte Auswirkungen auf
die Temperaturen die im Brennraum
eines Motors herrschen. Deshalb ist
eine Kontrolle der Temperatur für eine
optimale Leistungsentfaltung und zur
Vermeidung von Überhitzungsschäden
unabdingbar. Unsere neuen Motoren
besitzen deshalb zur unkomplizierten
und schnellen Erkennung der verschiedenen
Bereiche einen im Kühlkopf eingelassenen
Sensor basierend auf wärmereagierenden
Flüssigkristallen. Bei
erreichen eines bestimmten Temperaturbereichs
wechselt der Sensor die Farbe
und zeigt den entsprechenden Bereich
an. So kann schnell und eindeutig der
Betriebszustand des Motors erkannt
werden und das Kraftstoffgemisch entsprechend angepasst werden.
PATENTED NOVELTY
Reading the temperature directly on the
engine.
Adjusting an engine affects directly
to the temperatures that obtain in the
combustion chamber of the engine.
This assumes a constant temperature
control to provide a constant engine
power and prevents of engine damage.
For the quick and uncomplicated reading
of temperature our new engines
have an integrated temperature control
based on a liquid crystal sensor that is
mounted in the cooling head. When the
temperature reaches a certain point the
sensor is changing its colour and shows
the temperature range. So it is possible
to read the temperature and adjusting
the carburetor depending on it.
The optimal temperatur range to adjust the engine is between 107º C und
120º C.
Read the temperature from the gauge always immediately after driving,
because of missing cooling the gauge could show wrong data.
Schalten Sie den Empfänger und Sender ein. Stellen
Turn on the Transmitter and Receiver, then set the Engine
Control Servo Trim to the neutral position. Adjust the idling
adjusting screw on the Carburetor to be open approx. 1 mm
gap. Adjust both Engine Control and Brake linkage accordingly.
Adjust the Engine while it is not running.
Stellen Sie den Sender auf die Vollgasposition. Sollte
Adjust the Servo-Horn mounting position for the Carburetor
to be full open. Change the pivot mounting position on the
servo horn in case the Carburetor is not opening fully or is
opening excessively. Or if available on the Transmitter, adjust
the Throttle high end point.
Bremse einstellen. Eine Feineinstellung ist auch über
die Trimmfunktion am Sender möglich
Adjust so the brakes work smoothly. If the brakes apply too
much or not enough, adjust screw accordingly. Or if available
on the Transmitter, adjust the High-End Brake adjustment.
Adjust screw to change the front or rear break.
Place the model car on flat surface. Raise the chassis to it‘s maximum clearance before the
wheeels leave the ground.
Adjust the length of the front and rear upper arms so that the wheels are reight angle to
the ground.
The camber angle adjustment can move the turnbuckle rod on the upper arms clockwise
or anti-clockwise. (We suggest use zero degree for the front and 1,5 negative degree for
the rear)
• Adjust the length of front steering rod to change the toe angle.
• Making the tie rod longer will make the front tires become toe-in.
Response will be slower and will over steer.
• Making the tie rod shorter will make the front tires become toe-out.
