who wish to import pharmaceuticals must comply<br />
with the strict provisions of the German Controlled Substances<br />
act (Betäubungsmittel-Gesetz, BtmG) and the<br />
Medicinal Products act (arzneimittel-Gesetz, amG). In<br />
general: It is only permitted to import as much as is prescribed for personal use<br />
and normal individual needs. the import of fireworks is subject to equally stringent<br />
restrictions. In Germany, only fireworks that bear a mark of approval from the Federal<br />
Institute for Materials research and testing are permitted. the import of fishery<br />
products is also subject to strict regulations. without the certificates stipulated by<br />
veterinary law, the quantity imported must not exceed one kilo. wild animals and<br />

also apply to most domesticated animals. It goes without saying, drugs may not be<br />
brought into the country, nor can publications or media that are harmful to young<br />

sports, for example. Prohibitions also extend to instruments of torture and “conflict<br />
and blood diamonds”. In short: anyone who intends to bring goods to Germany<br />
